WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN 9 MORE SPECIAL TRAINS

WESTERN RAILWAY TORUN 9 MORE SPECIAL TRAINS TO VARIOUS DESTINATIONS 

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has decided to run 9 more Special Trainsincluding 3 trains from Mumbai Central & 2 trains from Indore, 2 from Bhavnagar, o­ne from Surendranagar & o­ne from Veraval.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the special trains are as under:

1) Train No. 09227/09228 Mumbai Central – Indore Duronto Superfast Special (Bi-Weekly)

Train No. 09227 Mumbai Central – Indore Duronto Superfast special will leave Mumbai Central every Thursday & Saturday at 23.00 hrs & will reach Indore at 10.20 hrs the next day. This train will run from 18thMarch, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09228 Indore – Mumbai Central Duronto Superfast special will depart Indore every Friday & Sunday at 21.00 hrs & will arrive Mumbai Central at 08.20 hrs the next day. This train will run from 19th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at  Vadodara, Ratlam and Ujjain stations in both directions. This train comprises of  First AC, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier coaches.

2) Train No. 09229/09230 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Duronto Superfast Special (Bi-Weekly)

Train No. 09229 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Duronto Superfast special will leave Mumbai Central every Sunday & Tuesday at 23.00 hrs & will reach Jaipur at 13.55 hrs the next day. This train will run from 21st March, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09230 Jaipur – Mumbai Central Duronto Superfast special will depart Jaipur every Tuesday & Thursday at 17.00 hrs & will arrive Mumbai Central at 08.20 hrs the next day. This train will run from 23rd March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Vadodara, Ratlam and Sawai Madhopur stations in both directions. This train comprises of First AC, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier coaches.

3) Train No. 09231/09232 Mumbai Central – Hapa Duronto Superfast Special (Daily)

Train No. 09231 Mumbai Central – Hapa Duronto Superfast special will leave Mumbai Central daily at 23.10 hrs & will reach Hapa at 11.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09232 Hapa – Mumbai Central Duronto Superfast special will depart Hapa daily at 19.40 hrs & will arrive Mumbai Central at 08.00 hrs the next day. This train will run from 19th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Ahmedabad, Surendranagar and Rajkot stations in both directions. This train comprises of  First AC, AC 2-Tier and AC 3-Tier coaches.

4) Train No. 09371/09372 Indore – Puri Humsafar Superfast Special (Weekly)

Train No. 09371 Indore – Puri Humsafar Superfast special will leave Indore every Tuesday at 15.00 hrs & will reach Puri at 18.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 23rd March, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09372 Puri - Indore Humsafar Superfast special will depart Puri every Thursday at 00.30 hrs & will arrive Indore at 05.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 25th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Dewas, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Gondia, Raj Nandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda Rd, Sambalpur City, Angul, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Rd stations in both directions. This train comprises of  AC 3-Tier and Sleeper class coaches.

5) Train No. 09016/09015 Indore – Lingampalli Superfast Special (Weekly)

Train No. 09016 Indore – Lingampalli Superfast special will leave Indore every Saturday at 11.15 hrs & will reach Lingampalli at 13.10 hrs the next day. This train will run from 20th March, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09015 Lingampalli - Indore Superfast special will depart Lingampalli every Sunday at 21.50 hrs & will arrive Indore at 00.25 hrs o­n Tuesday. This train will run from 21st March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Ujjain, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Rd. Panvel, Pune, Solapur, Kalaburagi and Vikarabad stations in both directions. This train comprises of  AC 3-Tier and Sleeper class coaches.

6) Train No. 09572 Bhavnagar Terminus – Surendranagar Special (Daily)

Train No. 09572 Bhavnagar Terminus - Surendranagar special will leave Bhavnagar Terminus daily at 08.35 hrs & will reach Surendranagar at 12.35 hrs the same day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Bhavnagar Para, Vartej, Sihor Gujarat, Songadh, Sanosra, Dhola, Ujalvav, Alampur, Ningala, Botad, Ranpur, Chuda, Limbdi, Wadhwan City, Joravarnagar and Surendranagar Gate stations in both directions. This train comprises of  unreserved Second class seating coaches.

7) Train No. 09503 Surendranagar – Bhavnagar Terminus Special (Daily)

Train No. 09503 Surendranagar - Bhavnagar Terminus special will leave Surendranagar daily at 16.10 hrs & will reach Bhavnagar Terminus at 20.25 hrs the same day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Surendranagar Gate,Joravarnagar, Wadhwan City, Limbdi, Chuda, Ranpur, Kundli, Botad, Lathidad, Ningalam Alampur, Ujalvav, Dhola, Sanosra, Bajud, Songadh, Sihor Gujarat, Khodiyar Mandir, Vartej and Bhavnagar Para stations in both directions. this train comprises of unreserved Second class seating coaches.

8) Train No. 09525/09526 Bhavnagar Terminus – Mahuva Special (Daily)

Train No. 09525 Bhavnagar Terminus - Mahuva special will leave Bhavnagar Terminus daily at 09.30 hrs & will reach Mahuva at 14.10 hrs the same day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Train No. 09526 Mahuva - Bhavnagar Terminus special will leave Mahuva daily at 14.20 hrs & will reach Bhavnagar Terminus at 19.35 hrs the same day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Bhavnagar Para, Vartej, Khodiyar Mandir, Sihor Gujarat, Songadh, Sanosra, Dhola, Ingorala, Jaliya, Dhasa, Damnagar, Panchtalavda Rd, Hathigadh, Liliya Mota, Bhemswadi, Jira Rd, Savarkundla Rd, Gadhakda, Mariyana, Vijpadi Rd, Vavera, Rajula and Dungar stations in both directions. This train comprises of  unreserved Second class seating coaches.

9) Train No. 09291/09292 Veraval – Amreli Metre Gauge Special (Daily)

Train No. 09291 Veraval – Amreli MG special will leave Veraval daily at 09.45 hrs & will reach Amreli at 14.50 hrs the same day. This train will run from 18th March, 2021 till further advice. Similarly, Train No. 09292 Amreli - Veraval special will leave Amreli daily at 08.45 hrs & will reach Veraval at 13.45 hrs the same day. This train will run from 19th March, 2021 till further advice. Enroute this train will halt at Savni, Talala, Chitrawad, Sasan Gir, Kansiya Nes, Satadhar, Visavadar, Jetalvad, Bhader, Dhari, Chalala and Amreli Para stations in both directions. This train comprises of unreserved Second class seating coaches.

The booking of Train Nos. 09227/09228, 09231/09232 will open o­n 17th March, 2021 & Train No. 09229, 09371 & 09016 will open from 18th March, 2021 at nominated PRS counters and o­n IRCTC website. Trains from Sr.No.1 to Sr.No.5 will run as fully reserved. Trains from Sr.No.6 to Sr.No.9 will run as unreserved with fare of Mail/Express trains.

It is decided to run Train No. 03253/03254 Patna – Banaswadi – Patna Humsafar Superfast Express special as detailed below:-

Train No. 03253 Patna – Banaswadi Weekly Humsafar Superfast Express Special will depart from Patna 20:25 hrs o­n every Thursday and arrive Banaswadi at 17:00 hrs o­n the respective Saturday with effect commencing journey from Patna from 11.02.2021 to until further advice.

Enroute the train will arrive/depart Ara – 21:01/21:03 hrs, Buxar – 21:46/21:48 hrs, Pt. All the norms of the State and Central Government regarding Covid-19 including social distancing, sanitization etc., should must be followed in the trains and at the Railway stations. The train will have fully reserved service.

Central Railway has decided to introduce Train No. 11417/11418 Pune – Nagpur – Pune Humsafar Express. The inaugural service 01417 will be flagged off by Shri Devendra Fadanvis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways o­n 3.3.2019 from Mumbai via Video link.
The inaugural special train 01417 having 19 AC-3 tier coaches will leave Pune at 16.40 hrs o­n 3.3.2019 and arrive Nagpur at 06.55 hrs next day. The train will halt at stations Daund, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera and Wardha. Bookings for 01417 Inaugural special train o­n special charges will open o­n 2.3.2019 at all PRS locations and o­n www.irctc.co.in
The details of regular service of 11417/11418 Humsafar Express are as under-

Initiatives by Indian Railways for Improvement in Passenger Amenities and Cleanliness 

Some of the other major initiatives taken by Indian Railways towards improvement in passenger amenities and cleanliness in trains are as follows :

Upgradation of coaches including toilets in identified rakes of existing trains under Project Swarn and Project Utkrisht, and introduction of improved passenger services such as Humsafar trains and Antodaya trains.
Provision of dustbins is being done in non AC coaches also in addition to the AC Coaches.
Provision of health faucets in all new AC and non-AC coaches, in addition to mug with chain arrangement.
Pace of installation of Bio-toilets in Coaches has been intensified. It is planned to install bio-toilets in the entire BG coaching fleet of Indian Railways by 2019.
  • Cleaning of coaches, including toilets, is done at both ends including mechanised cleaning through professional agencies at around 145 coaching depots.
  • On Board Housekeeping Service (OBHS) has been provided in more than 1050 pairs of trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi and other important long distance Mail/Express trains for cleaning of coach toilets, doorways, aisles and passenger compartments during the run of the trains.
  • ‘Coach Mitra’ facility has been introduced in about 1000 pairs of OBHS trains. ‘Coach Mitra’ is a single window interface to register coach related requirements of passengers such as cleaning, disinfection, linen, train lighting, air conditioning and watering of coaches.            
  • To improve the quality of washing of bed linen, mechanized laundries have been set up at 57 locations in the railways.
  • Pest control treatment of coaches and rodent control measures are regularly done as per schedule.

 This information was given in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.

For the convenience of passengers and to clear extra rush, Railways will run Weekly Humsafar Special train between Udhna and Habibganj, the details are as under :-
·Train no. 01667/01668 Udhna - Habibganj Weekly Humsafar Special Train (6 services)
Train No. 01667 Udhna - Habibganj Weekly Humsafar Special train will leave Udhna at 14.30 hrs o­n Tuesday and reach Habibgunj at 03.10 hrs next day. This train will run from 18th December, 2018 to 1st January, 2019.
Similarly, Train No. 01668 Habibganj- Udhna Weekly Humsafar Special train will leave Habibgunj at 20.45 hrs o­n Monday and reach Udhna at 10.05 hrs next day. This train will run from 17th December to 31stDecember, 2018.
The train will halt at Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, Maksi,Shajapur, Sehore and S. Hirdaramnagar stations in both directions. This train has fully AC 3 Tier coaches. 
The booking for Train No. 01667 will open from 15th December, 2018 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.

Train No.06319 Kochuveli – Banaswadi – Kochuveli Humsafar Express will be introduced o­n 20.10.2018.
Shri K.J. Alphons, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) will flag off the inaugural special train No.06319 Kochuveli – Banaswadi Humsafar express at Kochuveli railway station at 11.00 hrs. o­n 20.10.2018.
The inaugural special will run to open timings and stop at Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Bangarapet, Whitefield and Krishnarajapuram.
Regular services of Kochuveli – Banaswadi Humsafar Express
Train No.16319 Kochuveli – Banaswadi Humsafar express (Bi-weekly) will leave Kochuveli at 18.05 hrs. o­n Thursdays and Saturdays to reach Banaswadi at 10.45 hrs. o­n Fridays and Sundays.
Train No.16320 Banaswadi – Kochuveli Humsafar express (Bi-weekly) will leave Banaswadi at 19.00 hrs. o­n Fridays and Sundays to reach Kochuveli at 09.05 hrs. o­n Saturdays and Mondays.
The trains will stop at Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Bangarapet, Whitefield and Krishnarajapuram.  The trains will have 15 AC 3-tier coaches.
Composition:  AC 3-tier – 15 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
The regular service of Train No.16320 Banaswadi – Kochuveli (bi-weekly) Humsafar express will commence from Banaswadi o­n 21.10.2018, Sunday.
The regular service of Train No.16319 Kochuveli – Banaswadi (bi-weekly) Humsafar express will commence from Kochuveli o­n 25.10.2018, Thursday.
Advance Reservation for the above  train  will open at 08.00 hrs o­n 17.10.2018

Railways have decided to run a new weekly Superfast Humsafar Express train between Pune and Habibganj for the benefit of passengers.
The details are as under:
22171 weekly Superfast Humsafar Express will leave Pune at 15.15 hrs o­n every Sunday with effect from 07.10.2018 and arrive Habibganj at 04.45 hrs next day.
22172 weekly Superfast Humsafar Express will leave Habibganj at 17.25 hrs o­n every Saturday with effect from 06.10.2018 and arrive Pune at 09.20 hrs o­n next day.
Halts: Daund, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi and Hoshangabad.
Composition:13 AC 3-tier.

20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur new Humsafar Weekly Superfast Express will leave Santragachi every Wednesday at 20.25 hrs and will reach Jabalpur the next day at 15.55 hrs. Gandhidham-Tirunelveli Humsafar Express flagged off on Thursday,July 5 2018
Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain will flag off the inaugural service of Gandhidham-Tirunelveli Weekly Humsafar Express (all 3-Tier AC coaches) at Gandhidham on Thursday. The inaugural train will run as Humsafar special service from Gandhidham to Tirunelveli Junction. The timings and stoppages of the special service with Train No 09424 Gandhidham-Tiruneliveli Weekly Humsafar Express (inaugural special) is as follows: the train will leave Gandhidham at 10 a.m. on July 5 to reach Tirunelveli at 9.30 a.m. on July 7. It will arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 5 p.m. and leave at 5.05 p.m. to reach Kozhikode at 9 p.m. It will leave Kozhikode at 9.02 p.m. to reach Shoranur Junction at 11.30 p.m. for a two-minute halt, all on July 6, said a release from Southern Railway’s Palakkad division.
The service of Train No 09423 Tirunelveli-Gandhidham Weekly Humsafar Express (inaugural Special) will leave Tirunelveli Junction at 10.30 a.m. on July 8 to reach Gandhidham at noon on July 10. It will arrive at Shoranur Junction at 9.10 p.m. and leave at 9.20 p.m. to reach Kozhikode 10.45 p.m. It will leave Kozhikode at 10.50 p.m. to reach Mangaluru Junction at 2.10 a.m. for a 10-minute halt (on July 9).
The train will have commercial halts at Ahmedabad Junction, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Road, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Madgaon, Karwar, Mangaluru Junction, Kozhikode, Shoranur Junction, Ernakulam Junction and Thiruvananthapuram Central. It comprises 16 AC 3-Tier coaches, one AC Hot Buffet Car and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
Regular service
The train was announced in the 2017 Railway Timetable. As per the regular timetable, Train No 19424 Gandhidham-Tirunelveli Weekly Humsafar Express leaves Gandhidham on Mondays at 1.50 p.m., leaves Mangaluru Junction at 7.40 p.m. on Tuesdays to reach Tirunelveli at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Train No 19423 Tirunelveli-Gandhidham Weekly Humsafar Express leaves Tirunelveli at 7.45 am on Thursdays, leaves Mangaluru Junction at 10.10 p.m. and reaches Gandhidham at 4.40 a.m. on Saturdays.

Ministry of Railways approved introduction of new weekly Humsafar Express between Bhagat Ki Kothi and Tambaram stations. The Regular services will commence Ex. Bhagat Ki Kothi o­n 23rd May, 2018 and Ex. Tambaram o­n 18thMay, 2018. The inaugural service will commence o­n 14th May, 2018 from Bhagat Ki Kothi to Tambaram stations. The details are given below:-

Inaugural Service o­n 14th May, 2018:

Accordingly, Train No. 04815 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Tambaram Humsafar special train will depart Bhagat Ki Kothi at 13:00 hrs o­n 14th May, 2018 (Monday) and arrive Tambaram at 10:00 hrs o­n Wednesday. 

Enroute, this train will stop at Jodhpur, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur and Chennai Egmore stations.

This train consists of all AC III Tier Coaches.

Regular Services:-  

Train No. 14815 Bhagat Ki Kothi – Tambaram Humsafar Express will depart Bhagat Ki Kothi at 15:30 hrs from 23rdMay, 2018 (Wednesdays) and arrive Tambaram at 10:45 hrs o­n Fridays.

In the opposite direction, Train No. 14816 Tambaram – Bhagat Ki Kothi Humsafar Express will depart Tambaram at 19:15 hrs from 18th May, 2018 (Fridays) and arrive Bhagat Ki Kothi at 19:30 hrs o­n Sundays.

Enroute, these trains will stop at Jodhpur, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur and Chennai Egmore stations in both the directions.

In order to clear extra rush of Passengers during Pongal festival season,32 special /Humsafar/Suvida trains will be run from Hyderabad to Kakinada Town, Kakinada Town to Secunderabad, Secunderabad to Narsapur, Hyderabad – Kochuveli – Hyderabad, Kacheguda-Bhubaneswar- Kacheguda and Secunderabad-Gudur as detailed below:-
1.Hyderabad – Kakinada Town Special Train (01 Service):-
Train No. 07003 Hyderabad - Kakinada Town Special Train will depart Hyderabad at 20:15 hrs o­n 13thJanuary, 2018 and arrive Kakinada Town at 07:25 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam,  Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations.This special train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second class and Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

3.Secunderabad - Narsapur Suvidha Special Train (01 Service):-
Train No. 82714 Secunderabad - Narsapur  Suvidha special train will depart Secunderabad at 19:15 hrson 12th  January, 2018  and arrive Narsapur at 06:00 hrs o­n next day.
Enroute this special train will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur,  Vijayawada,  Gudivada,  Kaikalur, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Bhimavaram Jn and  Palakollu  stations.
This special train consist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and Luggage cum Break van Coaches.
4.Hyderabad – Kochuveli – Hyderabad Special Train (22 Services):-
Train No. 07115 Hyderabad – Kochuveli Special Train will depart Hyderabad at 21.00 hrs on 20th, 27th January, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th February, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st March, 2018 (Saturdays) and arrive Kochuveli at 03.20 hrs o­n Mondays.
In the return direction, Train No. 07116 Kochuveli – Hyderabad Special Train will depart Kochuveli at 07:45 hrs o­n  22nd, 29th January, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th February, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March and 2nd April, 2018 (Mondays)  and arrive Hyderabad at 14:00 hrs o­n Tuesdays.
Enroute these special trains will also stop at Secunderabad, Nalgonda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati, Chittoor, Katpadi, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palghat, Ottapalem, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam and Kollam stations in both the directions.
These trains will have AC II tier, AC III tier, Sleeper Class and Luggage cum Brake van  Coaches.

 Train No. 08411 Bhubaneswar-Kacheguda Humsafar Special train will depart Bhubaneswar at 11:30 hrs o­n 11th, 18th & 25th January, 2018 (Thursday) and arrive Kacheguda at 08:30 hrs o­n Friday.
In the return direction, Train No. 08412 Kacheguda-Bhubaneswar Humsafar Special train will depart Kacheguda at 15:45 hrs o­n 12th, 19th & 26th January, 2018 (Friday) and arrive Bhubaneswar at 13:15 hrs o­n Saturday.
Enroute, these Humsafar special trains stop at Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajamundhry, Samalkot, Anakapalli, Duvvada, Vishakapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Rd, Palasa, Brahmapur and Khurda Road stations in both the directions.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Diwali/ Puja season, it is decided to run Eight Humsafar Holiday Special Trains between Secunderabad and Ahmedabad as detailed below:-Accordingly, 
  • Train No.09415 Ahmedabad - Secunderabad Humsafar Special train will depart  Ahmedabad at 23:25 hrs on 13th , 20th, 27th October and 3rd November, 2017 (Fridays)  and arrive Secunderabad at 21:20 hrs o­n Saturday.In the return direction, 
  • Train No. 09416  Secunderabad - Ahmedabad Humsafar Special train will depart Secunderabad at 23:50 hrs on 14th, 21st , 28th October and 4th November, 2017 (Saturdays)  and arrive Ahmedabad at 23:15 hrs o­n Sunday. 

Enroute, these special trains also stop at Begumpet, Lingampalli, Vikarabad, Tandur, Seram, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road,  Vasai Road, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand and Nadiad  stations in both the directions.

In the reference of above it is informed that as per rule para 2 (g) of the Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 ‘Privilege Ticket Order (PTOs) is an authority issued in favour of a railway servant which may be exchanged for a passenger rail ticket on payment of one third of the normal fare.
Accordingly, Ministry of Railways desire that normal base fare applicable for the train may be taken into account for booking of tickets on PTOs even in trains with variable fare scheme such as Rajdhani Shatabdi, Duronto. Humsafar and Suvidha trains. However, no change has been made in case of trains having higher fixed base fare like Gatimaan, Tejas etc. Other terms and conditions shall remain same for tickets booking on Privilege Ticket Orders (PTOs) in Rajdhani Shatabdi, Duronto. Humsafar and Suvidha trains.
2. The above shall be implemented with ettect from 04.10.2017.
