Restoration of Other Railway Special Trains to Regular Trains

Railways have decided to restore the services of following special trains as regular trains with immediate effect until further advice:

1. 02811 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Hatia bi-weekly will now run as Train no 12811 .

2. 02812 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus bi-weekly will now run as Train no 12812 .

3. 02817 Pune-Santragachi weekly will now run as Train no 20821 .

4. 02818 Santragachi-Pune weekly will now run as Train no 20822 .

5. 02596 Sainagar Shirdi-Howrah weekly will now run as Train no 22893 .

6. 02594 Howrah-Sainagar Shirdi weekly will now run as Train no 22894.

7. 02095 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus- Howrah running 4 days a week will now run as Train no 12261.

8. 02096 Howrah- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus running 4 days a week will now run as Train no 12262.

Passengers to please note the above changes. For detailed timings at halts of these trains please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or download NTES App.

Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these trains adhering to all norms, SOPs related to COVID19 during the boarding, travel and at destination.

RUNNING OF AC SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN SANTRAGACHI-CHENNAI AND HOWRAH-PUNE

Kolkata, 10th October, 2020

Keeping in view the rush of passengers during the festive season, South Eastern Railways have decided to run AC Bi-weekly Special Trains between Santragachi-Chennai and Howrah-Pune.

  • 02807/02808 Santragachi-Chennai-Santragachi AC Bi-weekly Special 02807 Santragachi-Channai AC Bi-weekly Special will run from Santragachi every Tuesday and Friday w.e.f. 16/10/2020. In the return direction, 02808 Chennai-Santragachi AC Bi-weekly Special will leave Chennai every Thursday and Sunday w.e.f. 18/10/2020. The special will run as per the existing timings and stoppages of 22807/22808 Santragachi-Chennai-Santragachi AC Express.
  • 02222/02221 Howrah-Pune-Howrah AC Bi-weekly Special 02222 Howrah-Pune AC Bi-weekly Special will run from Howrah every Thursday and Saturday w.e.f. 15/10/2020. In the return direction, 02221 Pune-Howrah AC Bi-weekly Special will leave Pune every Saturday and Monday w.e.f. 17/10/2020. The special will run as per the timings and stoppages (except Daund) of 12222/12221 Howrah-Pune-Howrah Duronto Express.

Both the special trains will have one First AC, three AC 2 Tier and twelve AC 3 Tier coaches and will run till further notification

SER TO RUN ONETRIP OF SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN SANTRAGACHI AND SILCHAR TO CLEAR STRANDED PASSENGERS
Kolkata, 19th December, 2019:
With a view to clear stranded passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to run o­ne trip of Special train between Santragachi and Silchar leaving Santragachi o­n 20.12.19.
08960 Santragachi-Silchar Special leaving Santragachi at 10.30 hrs o­n 20.12.19 (Friday) will reach Silchar at 17.15 hrs o­n Saturday.
The Special train consisting of o­ne AC-2 Tier, four AC-3 Tier, thirteen Sleeper Class and two General Second Class Coaches will have stoppages at Bolpur, Rampurhat, New Farakka, Malda Town, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Dhupguri, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Barpeta Road, Rangiya, Kamakhya, Guwahati, Hojai, Lumding, Maibang, New Haflong and Badarpur stations enroute.

Public Agitation Due to Non Railway Issue on Howrah- Kharagpur Section Train Services Affected Badly

REPURCUSSION FOR PUBLIC AGITATION DUE TO NON RAILWAY ISSUE o­n HOWRAH-KHARAGPUR SECTION 
Kolkata, 14th December, 2019:
 Due to Public agitation for non railway issue In Howrah-Kharagpur section in various stations from 11.00 hrs today morning (14.12.19) train services affected badly. As a result upto 17.00 hrs o­n date, 16 Mail/Express and 50 EMU local trains have been cancelled for different directions. 7 Mail/Express trains have been short terminated/short originated instead of Howrah/Shalimar/Santragachi. 5 trains have been diverted via Asansol to avoid the affected stations. The situation not yet normalized.On account of Public agitation apart from damaged caused yesterday at Uluberia station, today extensively damaged has been caused atSankrail, Nalpur, Bauria and Chengail stations. The following damage has been assessed/reported upto 14.30 hrs: 
o   The equipments, Station records, money value items i.e PRS and UTS role etc. are damaged by fire in Booking Office(North & South) and Station Manager Office of Sankrail. This apart, Panel Board, Telecommunication system, platform lights, fans, seating arrangements, tea stalls, water vending machines, level crossing gate and Gate Keeper Panel are damaged in this station.
o   Booking Office Window Slap, Glass, store rooms, seating arrangements are damaged in Nalpur station. This apart, tire firing was broken out at line no 1, 2 & 3 at this station by the agitators.
o   Electric Engine of o­ne Goods Train for Malda Town has damaged by unruly agitators at Bauria station.
o   All window glasses of Booking Counter are destroyed. All the seating arrangements are uprooted and thrown in to all over the lines. Some glasses, tube lights fans of empty Coaching rake are broken in Chengail station.

Eight Suvidha Special Trains between Santragachi – Coimbatore via., Vijayawada
In order to clear extra rush of passengers, eight Suvidha special trains will run between Santragachi - Coimbatore (via., Vijayawada) as per the following schedule.
Train No. 80823 Santragachi – Coimbatore Suvidha special train will depart Santragachi at 21.50 hrs o­n 06th, 13th, 20th & 27th November, 2019 (Wednesdays) and arrive Coimbatore at 14.25 hrs o­n the Friday.
In the return direction, Train No. 80824 Coimbatore – Santragachi Suvidha special train will depart Coimbatore at 21:45 hrs o­n 08th, 15th, 22nd & 29th November, 2019 (Fridays) and arrive Santragachi at 08:45 hrs o­n Sunday.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore LS, Bhadrak, Naraj Marthapur, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Berhampur, Sompeta, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Kottavalasa, Simhachalam Town, Duvvada, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur, Sulurpeta, Perambur, Katpadi, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur stations in both the directions.
These special trains will consist of AC III Tier and Sleeper Class Coaches.

Kolkata, 24th October, 2019:
With a view to clear extra rush of passengers during Chhat Puja, South Eastern Railway has decided to run o­ne pair of Suvidha Special train between Santragachi-Barauni-Santragachi(80805/80806) leaving Santragachi o­n 01.11.19 (Friday) and leaving Barauni o­n 03.11.19 (Sunday).
  • 80805 Santragachi-Barauni Suvidha Special leaving Santragachi at 15.30 hrs will reach Barauni at 09.30 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 
  • 80806 Barauni-Santragachi Suvidha Special leaving Barauni at 16.00 hrs will arrive Santragachi at 06.15 hrs, the next day.
The Special train consisting of four AC-3 Tier, twelve Sleeper Class and two General Second Class Coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chandil, Purulia, Joychandi Pahar, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha and Kiul between Santragachi and Barauni.
The above train will run with revised composition instead of 08005/08006 Santragachi-Barauni-Santragachi Chhat Puja Special which was announced earlier.

SER’s ELABORATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR BETTER CROWD MANAGEMENT DURING PUJA RUSH
 Kolkata, 4th October, 2019:
South Eastern Railway has taken elaborate measures for better crowd management at its important terminal stations like Howrah New Complex, Shalimar and Santragachi as well as important suburban stations to tackle the heavy rush of passengers during Durga Puja.

S E Railway has taken the following important measures to ensure safety, security and smooth movement of the passengers during the Puja rush:- 
·Additional RPF personnel have been deployed at important stations in Howrah-Kharagpur section to ensure security of passengers. Extra security personnel have been deployed also at other important stations like Shalimar, Digha, Jhargram, Tamluk etc.
·Additional staff of Engineering and Signal &Telecommunication Departments along with security personnel have been deployed at important Level Crossing Gates in Howarh- Kharagpur, Kharagpur-Midnapur and Panskura-Haldia sections.
·Public Address System has been arranged at important and busy Level Crossing Gates to alert passengers about train movements.
·Adequate lighting arrangements have been made at stations and at major level crossing gates for the convenience of rail and road users.
·Officers have been deployed o­n Emergency Duty at Howrah Station New Complex, Santragachi and Kharagpur stations to ensure smooth running of trains.
·Inspectors have also been deployed in various sections of Kharagpur Division to attend any disruption of train service o­n priority.
·Measures have been taken for frequent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains with platform numbers.
·“May I Help You” booths will be kept operational at important stations where RPF Personnel and TTEs will be available for proper assistance and guidance of the passengers.
·Medical Teams will be available at Kharagpur and Santragachi stations o­n call. Ambulance with paramedical team will also be available.
·St. John Ambulance Team, Civil Defence Personnel and Members of Bharat Scouts & Guides will also be available at major stations.
·Steps have been taken to ensure scheduled departure of Mail/Express/Passenger Trains.
·Steps have also been taken to ensure no change of platform at the last moment.  
Moreover, to cope up with the Puja rush, the newly constructed Foot Over Bridge at Santragachi will remain open for passenger movement from platform No 4 & 5 to platform No 6 (Kona Expressway end). This will be the third exit point of Platform No 4 and 5.
Travelling public is requested to cooperate with railway by observing the following rules in rendering better services: 
·Do Not Use Single Use Plastic
·Always Use Dustbins kept in Stations and o­nboard trains
·Travel with Light Luggage
·Do Not Carry Inflammable Articles
·Do Not touch any object lying o­n the railway premises
·Do Not take any eatable from unknown passengers
·Please Call 182 for Security Assistance o­n board trains
·Always carry Identity Card during journey
·Do Not lean outside the coaches when trains are o­n run
·Do Not pull Alarm Chain un-necessarily.

To clear the extra rush of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali and Winter, South Eastern Railway has decided to run 13 pairs of Special Trains between Santragachi and New Jalpaiguri during the period from 06.10.19 to 29.12.19.
08047 Santragachi-New Jalpaiguri Weekly AC Special leaving Santragachi at 10.25 hrs every Sunday will reach New Jalpaiguri at 20.55 hrs, the same day. In the opposite direction, 08048 New Jalpaiguri-Santragachi Weekly Special leaving New Jalpaiguri at 23.15 hrs every Sunday will arrive Santragachi at 11.15 hrs, the next day. 
The Special Train consisting of sixteen AC 3-Tier coaches, will have stoppages at Bardhaman, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj and Alubari Road between Santragachi and New Jalpaiguri.
Booking will be available for 08047 through PRS & Internet o­n and from 14.09.19.

02841 Santragachi-Chennai Central Weekly Special leaving Santragachi at 12.40 hrs every Friday will reach Chennai Central at 15.20 hrs o­n Saturday. In the opposite direction, 02842 Chennai Central-Santragachi Weekly Special leaving Chennai Central at 18.20 hrs every Saturday will arrive Santragachi at 23.30 hrs, the next day.
The Special train consisting of four AC-2 Tier, five AC-3Tier and four Sleeper Class Coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Sompeta, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Kottavalasa, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Nellore stations enroute.
Booking for train no. 02841 Santragachi-Chennai Special will be available through PRS & Internet with immediate effect.

08037 Shalimar-Puri Special leaving Shalimar every Friday at 23.55 hrs will reach Puri at 10.15 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 08038 Puri-Santragachi Special leaving Puri every Saturday at 23.55 hrs will arrive Santragachi at 10.00 hrs, the next day.
The Special train consisting of o­neFirst AC, three AC-2 Tier and ten AC-3Tier Coaches will have stoppages at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Sakhigopal stations between Shalimar and Puri.

24 Summer Special Trains between Santragachi - Chennai Central
In order to clear extra rush of Passengers during summer season, 24 special trains will be run between Santragachi-Chennai Central as detailed below:-
1. Santragachi-Chennai Central-Santragachi Special Trains (22 services):
Train No. 02841 Santragachi - Chennai Central Special Train will depart Santragachi at 12:40 hrs from 12th April to 28th June, 2019 (on every Friday) and arrive Chennai Central at 15:20 hrs o­n the next day.
In return direction, Train No. 02842 Chennai Central - Santragachi special train will depart Chennai Central at 18:20 hrs o­n 20th, 27th April, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th June , 2019 (on every Saturday) and arrive Santragachi at 23:30 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Rd, Brahmapur, Vizainagaram, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Nellore stations in both the directions.
These special trains will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier and Sleeper Class van coaches.
2. Chennai Central - Santragachi Suvidha Special Trains (02 services):
Train No. 82802 Chennai Central - Santragachi suvidha special train will depart Chennai Central at 18:20 hrs o­n 13th April and 1st June, 2019 (Saturday) and arrive Santragachi at 23:30 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Duvvada, Vizainagaram, Brahmapur, Khurda Rd, Bhubaneswar, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak and Kharagpur stations.
These special trains will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier and Sleeper Class van coaches.

TWO TRIPS OF SUPERFAST AC SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN HAPA AND SANTRAGACHI
For the clearance of extra rush of passengers, Railways has decided  to run two  trips of  Superfast AC special train between Hapa & Santragachi  with special charges. The details of these trains are as under:-
 ·02833/ 02834  Hapa - Santragachi Superfast AC Special Train via Surat(2 trips)
Train No. 02833 Hapa – Santragachi Superfast AC special train will leave Hapa at 10.40 hrs o­n Monday, 25th February, 2019and will reach Surat the next day (Tuesday) at 21.10 hrs and will arrive at Santragachi at 05.45 hrs o­n Wednesday.
Similarly, Train No. 02834 Santragachi – Hapa Superfast AC Special train will leave Santragachi at 21.05 hrs o­n Friday, 22nd February, 2019 and will reach Surat at 05.25 hrs o­n third day (Sunday) and Hapa at 16.35 hrs.
It will have AC 3 tier coaches. The train will halt at Rajkot, Wankaner Jn, Surendranagar, Viramgam Jn, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon Jn., Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Badnera Jn, Wardha Jn, Nagpur, Gondia Jn, Durg, Raipur Jn, Bilaspur Jn, Jharsuguda Jn., Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar Jn. & Kharagpur stations in both the directions.
The booking for Train no. 02833 Hapa – Santragachi Jn. Superfast AC Special will be opened from 22nd February, 2019 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.

With a view to clear extra rush of passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Six pairs of Weekly Superfast Special trains between Santragachi-Chennai-Santragachi during the period from 18.01.19 to 23.02.19
02841 Santragachi-Chennai Special leaving Santragachi at 12.40 hrs every Friday will reach Chennai at 16.40 hrs, the next day. In the opposite direction, 02842 Chennai-Santragachi Special leaving Chennai at 18.20 hrs every Saturday will arrive Santragachi at 23.30 hrs, the next day. 
The Special Train consisting of four AC 2-Tier, five AC 3-Tier and four Sleeper Class coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur,Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur,Vizianagaram, Duvvda, Rajahmundry,Vijayawada and Nellore between Santragachi and Chennai.
