 Platform Ticket Fare Reduced to Rs.10 Across all Stations of Vijayawada Division

Platform Ticket fare reduced to Rs.10 across all stations of Vijayawada Division, SCR to facilitate passengers on resumption of unreserved express trains

The Platform Ticket rates, which were temporarily increased as precautionary measure against Covid-19, at select stations of the Division have been revised downwards at the respective stations of Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway with effect from 00.00 hrs of 30th September, 2021.This decision has been taken in view of resumption of Unreserved Express trains over rail network.

​The Platform Ticket fares at all Railway Stations of Vijayawada Division will be Rs.10 (Rupees Ten only) w.e.f 30.09.2021.

​The issue of Platform tickets will facilitate to the large extent, all the rail passengers, especially Senior Citizens and Divyangajan in smooth boarding and alighting the trains. The precautionary measures being taken on railways to tackle Corona Virus will be maintained as usual. Rail users are requested to co-operate in this endeavour and follow all the protocols laid down in containing Covid-19.

As approved by Railway Board, the following Fully Reserved Special Trains will be run as detailed below:-

1.Train No.02077/02078 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Vijayawada – Dr MGR Chennai Central (6 days a week) Jan Shatabdi Special:

With the composition of Two- AC Chair Cars, Fourteen- Second Class Chair Cars, Train No. 02077 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Vijayawada Jan Shatabdi Special (6 days a week) will leave Dr MGR Chennai Central o­n all days except Tuesdays at 07.25 hrs o­n and from 03rd April, 2021 and reach Vijayawada at 14.45 hrs, the same day until further advice

In return direction, Train No. 02078 Vijayawada – Dr MGR Chennai Central (6 days a week) Jan Shatabdi Special will leave Vijayawada o­n all days except Tuesdays at 15.20 hrs o­n and from 03rd April, 2021 and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 22.35 hrs, the same day until further advice

Advance Reservation for the above Special Trains will open at 08.00 hrs o­n 13th March, 2021 (Tomorrow)  from Southern Railway End.

During the review of train timings which are running as special trains, the following stoppages for Special trains running over SCR was erroneously included in Passenger Reservation System (PRS).

Accordingly,

1. Train No. 07225 Vijayawada – Hubli Special Train will not stop at Donakonda with effect from 5th April, 2021.

2. Train No. 07226 Hubli – Vijayawada Special Train will not stop at Donakonda with effect from 6th April, 2021.

Running of Weekly Special Train between Sainagar Shirdi and Vijayawada

Railways will run weekly special train between Sainagar Shirdi and Vijayawada until further advice to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below:

  • 07208 special will leave Sainagar Shirdi every Wednesday at 17.20 hrs with effect from 07.4.2021 until further advice and arrive Vijayawada at 15.15 hrs next day.
  • 07207 special will leave Vijayawada every Tuesday at 10.15 hrs with effect from 06.4.2021 until further advice and arrive Sainagar Shirdi at 09.10 hrs next day.
  • Halts: Manmad, Nagersol, Rotegaon, Lasur(only for 07208),Aurangabad, Jalna, Partur(only for 07208),Selu(only for 07208),Manwath Road(only for 07208),Parbhani, Parli Vaijnath, Latur Road, Udgir, Bhalki, Bidar, Zahirabad, Vikarabad, Shankarpalli, Lingampalli, Begumpet, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam and Madhira
  • Composition: o­ne AC-2 Tier, 2 AC-3 Tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 5 second class seating

Reservation: Bookings for fully reserved special train no. 07208 o­n special charges will open from 06.03.2021 at all computerised reservation centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.

SCR Introduces Door Delivery of Medicines to Employees

South Central Railway has been at the forefront of rendering best possible medical care services to the employees during the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 pandemic in the country. As part of the continuous efforts to provide best services, SCR under the leadership of Shri. Gajanan Mallya, has initiated the supply of essential medicines to the staff and retired employees at their door steps. To begin with, this facility has been started across three Divisions of South-Central Railway i.e., Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Guntakal.
The facility can be availed by Serving Railway Employees & retired Employees who are living in and around Vijayawada and Guntakal. Similarly, the facility is available to all Retired Railway employees living in and around Hyderabad and who are being served by Central Railway Hospital Lallaguda, Health Unit Moula Ali and Kacheguda. This facility is particularly useful to persons suffering with chronic health problems like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiac related diseases or any other chronic diseases etc.
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway has stated that the initiative will save both the time and risks involved in commuting to the Railway Hospitals and will also enable serving / retired railway employees to adhere the strict rules of lockdown due to COVID-19.
Delivery of medicines is being done through the available volunteers / Scouts / Civil Defence personnel. Moreover, the persons are being issued medicines up to 2 months requirement so as to avoid frequent visits for regular checkups to the Hospitals. In addition, a facility of Tele medicine & consultation support through WhatsApp video has also been started for addressing minor ailments.
           To ensure that the facility is made available to all, the Mobile numbers of Doctors & Pharmacists of respective Health Units have been circulated through various means of communication.
Further, the procedure for availing these services is also kept simple. A patient has to o­nly submit their Name, UMID Card / Medical ID Card photo, Previous month Doctor’s prescription photo and Address with Landmark to the WhatsApp number of their respective health Units for getting their medicines door-delivered.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during festival Season, 10 Suvidha special trains will run between Narsapur – Hyderabad, Secunderabad – Machilipatnam, Kacheguda – Kakinada Town and Vijayawada – Vizianagaram as detailed below:-
1. Train No. 82713 Narsapur – Hyderabad Special Trains (01 Service):-
Train No. 82713 Narsapur – Hyderabad special trains will depart Narsapur at 18.00 hrs o­n 19th January, 2020 (Sunday) and arrive/depart Secunderabad at 03.55/04:00 hrs o­n the next day and arrive Hyderabad at 04.45 hrs.
Enroute this special train will also stop at Palakollu, Viravasaram, Bhimavaram Jn, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Piduguralla, Nadikudi, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations.
This special train will consist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.
2. Train No. 82750 Secunderabad – Machilipatnam Suvidha Special Trains (01 service):-
Train No. 82750 Secunderabad – Machilipatnam Suvidha special train will depart Secunderabad at 23:55 hrs o­n 12th January, 2020 (Sunday) and will arrive Machilipatnam at 08:55 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Pedana, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations in both the directions.
This special train will consist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.
3. Train No. 82709/82710 Kacheguda - Kakinada Town – Kacheguda Suvidha Special Trains (02 services):
Train No. 82709 Kacheguda - Kakinada Town Suvidha Special Train will depart Kacheguda at 18:45 hrs o­n 10th January, 2020 (Friday) and arrive Kakinada Town at 05:45 hrs o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 82710 Kakinada Town - Kacheguda Special Train will depart Kakinada Town at 18:10 hrs 18th January, 2020 (Saturdays) and arrive Kacheguda at 05:10 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Malkajgiri, Cherlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations in both the directions.
These special trains will consist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class, Chair Car Coaches.
4. Train No. 07025/07026 Vijayawada – Vizianagaram Jansadharan Special Trains (06 services):-
Train No. 07025 Vijayawada – Vizianagaram Jansadharan Special Train will depart Vijayawada at 21:10 hrs o­n 18th, 19th & 20th January, 2020 and arrive Vizianagaram at 07:20 hrs o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07026 Vizianagaram – Vijayawada Jansadharan Special Train will depart Vizianagaram at 07:45 hrs o­n 19th, 20th & 21st January, 2020 and arrive Vijayawada at 16:30 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nuzividu, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Kovvuru, Rajahmundry, Dwarapudi, Anaparti, Samalkot, Pitapuram, Annavaram, Tuni, Narsipatnam Road, Elamanchili, Anakapalli, Duvvada, Simhachalam North and Kottavalasa stations in both the directions.

Special Trains Between Dharmavaram – Bengaluru Cantt.
On account of cancellation of Train No. 56504/56503 Vijayawada-Bengaluru Cantt-Vijayawada Passenger due to o­ngoing remodelling work at Baiyyappanahalli Yard, the following special DEMU trains will be run between Dharmavaram – Bengaluru Cantt from 09.12.2019 to 14.12.2019 (Except Sunday) as detailed below: -
Accordingly, Train No. 06522 Dharmavaram – Bengaluru Cantt. DEMU Special train will depart 12.45 hrs and arrive Bengaluru Cantt. At 17.25 hrs o­n the same day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06521 Bengaluru Cantt – Dharmavaram DEMU Special train will depart 07.20 hrs and arrive Dharmavaram at 12.30 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, these DEMU special trains stop at Basampalle, Kottacheruvu, Sri Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam, Narayanapuram, Penukonda, Rangepalli, Chakeralapalli, Malugur, Hindupur, Devarapalle, Viduraswatha, Gauribidanur, Someshawara, Thondebhavi, Makalldurga, Odarahalli, Dodballapur, Rajankunti, Yelahanka, Channasandra and Baiyyappanahalli stations in both the directions.
Note-These special trains will run six days in a week (Except Sunday).
Cancellation of trains:-
Train No. 56503 / 56504 Bengaluru Cantt-Vijayawada- Bengaluru Cantt Passenger is cancelled from 7th to 14th December, 2019 due to yard modelling work at Baiyyappanahalli yard o­n South Western Railway.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, eight Suvidha special trains will run between Santragachi - Coimbatore (via., Vijayawada) as per the following schedule.
Train No. 80823 Santragachi – Coimbatore Suvidha special train will depart Santragachi at 21.50 hrs o­n 06th, 13th, 20th & 27th November, 2019 (Wednesdays) and arrive Coimbatore at 14.25 hrs o­n the Friday.
In the return direction, Train No. 80824 Coimbatore – Santragachi Suvidha special train will depart Coimbatore at 21:45 hrs o­n 08th, 15th, 22nd & 29th November, 2019 (Fridays) and arrive Santragachi at 08:45 hrs o­n Sunday.

Ministry of Railways has approved the introduction of New Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express with effect from 26th September, 2019.
Inaugural special:-
  • Train No. 02701 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada inaugural special train will leave Visakhapatnam tentatively at 11.30 hrs o­n 26th September, 2019 with the stoppages of Train No. 22701. In the return direction it will run as Train No. 02702 Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam special train to open fast timings.

The regular services of Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express will commence from 27th September, 2019 as detailed below:-
Regular services of Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express:-
Accordingly, Train No. 22701 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada Uday Express will depart Visakhapatnam at 05:45 hrs from 27th September, 2019 ( 05 days a week except Thursdays and Sundays) and arrive Vijayawada at 11:15 hrs o­n the same day.
In the return direction, Train No. 22702 Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express will depart Vijayawada at 17:30 hrs from 27th September, 2019 (05 days a week except Thursdays and Sundays) and arrive Visakhapatnam at 23:00 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot Jn, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem and Eluru stations in both the directions.
These trains will consist of AC Double Decker chair car coaches.

Introduction of New Intercity Super Fast Express Service between Gudur and Vijayawada
Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India will flag off the New Train No.12743/12744 Intercity Express between Gudur and Vijayawada in the august presence of Shri Suresh C. Angadi, Minister of State of Railways o­n 1st September, 2019 at 09:30 hrs at Gudur Railway Station.
Inaugural Special:-
Accordingly, Train No. 02743 Gudur – Vijayawada Intercity Superfast Express will depart Gudur at 09:30 hrs o­n 1st September, 2019 (Sunday) and arrive Vijayawada at 15:00 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, this train will stop at Nellore, Kavali, Singarayakonda, o­ngole, Chirala, Bapatla and Tenali stations.
The Regular services will commence from 01st Sep, 2019 from Vijayawada and 2nd Sep, 2019 from Gudur respectively as detailed below: -
Train No.12743/12744 Regular Services between Gudur – Vijayawada - Gudur (Daily):-
Accordingly, Train No. 12744 Vijayawada - Gudur Intercity Super Fast Express will depart Vijayawada at 18:00 hrs from 1st September, 2019 and arrive Gudur at 22:30 hrs o­n the same day.
In the opposite direction, Train No. 12743 Gudur - Vijayawada Intercity Super Fast Express will depart Gudur at 06:10 hrs from 2nd September, 2019 and arrive Vijayawada at 10:40 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Nellore, Kavali, Singarayakonda, o­ngole, Chirala, Bapatla and Tenali stations.
This train consists of two AC Chair Car and ten Second Class Chair Car Coaches.

Introduction of Gudur – Vijayawada Intercity Superfast Express Postponed
The introduction of new train service, Train No. 12743/12744 Gudur – Vijayawada - Gudur Intercity Superfast Express from 25th August, 2019 as announced earlier, has been postponed o­n account of technical reasons untill further advice.
Consequently, the inaugural special Train No. 02743/02744 Gudur – Vijayawada Intercity Superfast Express o­n 25.08.2019 and the regular services of Train No. 12743/12744 Gudur – Vijayawada Intercity Superfast Express from 26.08.2019 stand cancelled.
 Passengers are requested to make a note of the same and in case any advance reservations, may cancel the tickets to claim full refund.

Special Train from Gondia to Mangalore via., Vijayawada
In order to clear extra rush of passengers during summer season, o­ne Summer Special Train will be run from Gondia to Mangalore as detailed below: -
  • Train No. 08601 Gondia – Mangalore Special Train will depart Gondia at 23:00 hrs on 24th May, 2019 and arrive Mangalore Jn at 21.00 hrs o­n the second day.

Enroute this Special Train will stop at Balharsah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Jolarpet, Salem, Coimbatore, Palghat and Kannur Stations.
These special trains consist of four AC III Tier, Ten Sleeper Class and Two Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches.

20 Summer Specials Between Machilipatnam – Secunderabad & Narsapur – Hyderabad – Vijayawada
In order to clear extra rush of passengers, 20 summer special trains will run between Machilipatnam – Secunderabad and Narsapur – Hyderabad – Vijayawada as detailed below:-
1. Machilipatnam – Secunderabad – Machilipatnam Summer Special Trains via Guntur(10 services):
Train No. 07049 Machilipatnam – Secunderabad summer special train will depart Machilipatnam at 15:05 hrs o­n 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th June, 2019 (Sunday) and arrive Secunderabad at 22:45 hrs o­n the same day.
In the return direction, 07050 Secunderabad – Machilipatnam summer special train will depart Secunderabad at 23.55 hrs o­n 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th June, 2019 (Sunday) and arrive Machilipatnam at 08:55 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Pedana, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations in both the directions.
2. Narsapur - Hyderabad Summer Special Trains via Guntur (05 Services):
Train No. 07258 Narsapur – Hyderabad summer special train will depart Narsapur at 18.00 hrs o­n 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th June, 2019 (Sunday) and arrive/depart Secunderabad at 03.55/04:00 hrs o­n the next day and arrive Hyderabad at 04.45 hrs.
Enroute these special trains will also stop at Palakollu, Viravasaram, Bhimavaram Jn, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Piduguralla, Nadikudi, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations.
3. Hyderabad - Vijayawada Summer Special Trains via Kazipet (05 Services):
Train No. 07257 Hyderabad – Vijayawada summer special train will depart Hyderabad at 22.20 hrs o­n 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June & 1st July, 2019 and arrive/depart Secunderabad at 22.45/22:50 hrs and arrive Vijayawada at 06.35 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute these special trains will also at Kazipet, Warangal, Dornakal and Khammam 

*All the above Special trains consist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class Coaches.
