Change in Pattern of Train Services

South Eastern Railway has notified change in pattern of the following train services due to the Pre-Non Interlocking  & Non Interlocking works at Khantapara yard, in the Kharagpur Division, as given below:

1.Rescheduling of  Train Services

  • ·Train No. 22852 Mangaluru Central - Santragachi Vivek Superfast Express, journey commencing o­n 20th December 2025 from  Mangaluru  Central at 23.00 hrs will be rescheduled to depart at 02.30 hrs o­n  21st  December 2025, the next day (Late by 03 hours and 30 minutes) and will be regulated 30 minutes enroute. 
  • ·Train No. 22604 Villupuram - Kharagpur Superfast Express scheduled to leave Villupuram at 11.05 hrs o­n 23rd, December, 2025 is rescheduled to leave Villupuram at 15.05 hrs (late by 4 hours). Ex. Villupuram and will regulated 60 mins  enroute.
  • ·Train No. 12840 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Howrah Superfast Mail scheduled to leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central at 19.00 hrs o­n 24th December, 2025 is rescheduled to leave Dr. MGR Chennai Central 20.00 hrs ( late by 60 mins ) .

2. Regulation of Train Service

  • ·Train No. 12868 Pondicherry – Howrah Superfast Express scheduled to leave Pondicherry at 14.15 hrs on 24th December, 2025 will be regulated for 60min  enroute.

Short termination of Up Mail /Express trains at Dadar :-

1. 12134 Mangaluru-Mumbai  

2. 12810 Howrah-Mumbai

3. 11402 Adilabad- Mumbai Nandigram Express

4. 12112 Amravti-Mumbai express

5. 22108 Latur- Mumbai Express 

DN Mail/Express trains are not affected.

Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway administration for the inconvenience caused due to this infrastructure work.

Restoration of Other Railway Special Trains to Regular Trains

Railways have decided to restore the services of following special trains as regular trains with immediate effect until further advice:

1. 02811 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Hatia bi-weekly will now run as Train no 12811 .

2. 02812 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus bi-weekly will now run as Train no 12812 .

3. 02817 Pune-Santragachi weekly will now run as Train no 20821 .

4. 02818 Santragachi-Pune weekly will now run as Train no 20822 .

5. 02596 Sainagar Shirdi-Howrah weekly will now run as Train no 22893 .

6. 02594 Howrah-Sainagar Shirdi weekly will now run as Train no 22894.

7. 02095 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus- Howrah running 4 days a week will now run as Train no 12261.

8. 02096 Howrah- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus running 4 days a week will now run as Train no 12262.

FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS TO RUN BETWEEN HOWRH-PURI-HOWRAH AND HATIA-DURG-HATIA

Kolkata, 6th October, 2021:

Keeping in view the demand of the passengers, it has been decided to run Festival Special Trains between Howrah-Puri-Howrah w.e.f. 09.10.2021 to 06.11.2021 from Howrah and w.e.f 10.10.2021 to 07.11.2021 from Puri. Festival Special trains will also run between Hatia-Durg-Hatia w.e.f. 07.10.2021 to 04.11.2021 from Hatia and w.e.f 08.10.2021 to 05.11.2021 from Durg.

08179/08180 Howrah-Puri-Howrah Weekly Festival Special

08179 Howrah-Puri Special leaving Howrah every Saturday at 20.35 hrs will arrive Puri at 06.45 hrs the next day. In the return direction, 08180 Puri-Howrah Special will depart from Puri every Sunday at 19.35 hrs and will arrive Howrah at 03.30 hrs the next day. The train will have fourteen sleeper class, five general class coaches. The train will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road stations between Howrah and Puri.

08185/08186 Hatia-Durg-Hatia Bi Weekly Festival Special

08185 Hatia-Durg Special leaving Hatia every Tuesday and Thursday at 20.05 hrs will arrive Durg at 06.45 hrs the next day. In the return direction, 08186 Durg-Hatia Special will depart from Durg every Wednesday and Friday at 19:35 hrs and will arrive Hatia at 06.45 hrs the next day. The train will have o­ne AC 3 Tier, six sleeper class and five general second class coaches. The train will have stoppages at Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Raigarh, Champa, Bilaspur Bhatapara and Raipur stations between Hatia and Durg.

South Western Railway has advised rescheduling of trains due to late running of paring train as detailed below:

· Train No.02874 Yesvantpur - Howrah Special train scheduled to leave

Yesvantpur at 10.15 hrs o­n 27th September, 2021 is rescheduled to leave at 15.00 hrs o­n 28th September, 2021 (delayed by 16 hours 45 minutes)

· Train No.05487 Bengalore Cantonment – Agartala Special scheduled to leave

Bangalore Cantonment at 10.15 hrs o­n 28th September is rescheduled to leave at 00.15 hrs o­n 29thSeptember (delayed by 14 hours)

· Train No.02246 Yesvantpur - Howrah Special train scheduled to leave

Yesvantpur at 11.00 hrs o­n 28th September, 2021 is rescheduled to leave at 05.00 hrs o­n 29th September, 2021 (delayed by 18 hours)

Depending o­n the rescheduled time at originating station, the timings of these trains at enroute stations will also change accordingly.

SPECIAL TRAIN TO RUN BETWEEN HOWRAH AND HATIA

Kolkata, 17th September, 2021:

Keeping in view the demands of the passengers, it has been decided to run Special Train between Howrah and Hatia w.e.f. 30.09.2021 to 31.12.2021 from Howrah and w.e.f. 29.09.2021 to 31.12.2021 from Hatia as per the details given below:-

08615 Howrah-Hatia Special leaving Howrah daily at 21.30 hrs will reach Hatia at 06:30 hrs the next day. In the opposite direction, 08616 Hatia-Howrah Special will leave Hatia daily at 21:40 hrs and will arrive Howrah at 06.30 hrs the next day. 

The Special Train with o­ne First AC, two AC 2 Tier, four AC 3 Tier, eleven Sleeper Class and two General Second Class Coaches will stop at Mecheda, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Ghatsila, Tatanagar, Muri and Ranchi between Howrah and Hatia. 08616 Hatia-Howrah Special will also stop at Santragachi.

Consequent upon introduction of 08615/08616 Howrah-Hatia-Howrah Special, 02804/02803 Howrah-Ranchi-Howrah Special will remain cancelled which was informed by earlier Press Release issued o­n 13.09.2021.

ER TO RUN SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN HOWRAH  & RADHIKAPUR

Kolkata, February 18, 2021:

To clear the extra rush of the passengers, Eastern Railway will run special train between Howrah & Radhikapur.

03053 Howrah–Radhikapur special will leave Howrah daily at 08:35 hrs.  w.e.f. 22.02.2021 till further advice to reach Radhikapur at 19:15 hrs. o­n the same day and 03054 Radhikapur-Howrah special will leave Radhikapur daily at 11:15 hrs. w.e.f. 23.02.2021 till further advice to reach Howrah at 22:40 hrs. o­n the same day.

The train will stop at Barddhaman, Bolpur (Santiniketan), Prantik, Sainthia, Rampurhat , Pakur, New Farakka, Malda Town, Samsi, Barsoi Jn., Raiganj and Kaliyaganj Stations enroute in both direction .

Booking of the above special train will be available through PRS counters and internet o­n and from 19.02.2021 at 08:00 hrs. Tatkal quota will be available. Normal fare will be realized for the special train.

HOWRAH – DHANBAD SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN TO BE RESTORED

Kolkata, February 10, 2021:

To fulfil the long standing aspiration of people 03387/03388 Howrah- Dhanbad-Howrah fully reserved superfast special train has been restored from Howrah o­n 14.02.2021 and from Dhanbad o­n 13.02.2021. The train will provide easy communication for office goers and daily commuters between Howrah & Dhanbad.

  • 03387 Howrah- Dhanbad superfast special train will leave Howrah at 06:15 hrs. to reach Dhanbad at 11:18 hrs. o­n the same day. 03388 Dhanbad –Howrah superfast special train will leave Dhanbad at 16:20 hrs. to reach Howrah at 21:20 hrs. o­n the same day.
  • For the convenience of the intermediate passengers the train will stop at Seoraphuli, Bandel, Barddhaman, Mankar, Panagarh, Durgapur, Waria, Andal Jn, Raniganj, Asansol Jn, Sitarampur, Kulti, Barakar, Kumardubi stations enroute in both direction.

The date of booking of tickets for the above special Trains will be notified shortly.

Railways have decided to run daily special train between Pune and Howrah until further advice to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below:

  • 02279 Superfast daily special will leave Pune at 18.35 hrs with effect from 14.2.2021 until further advice and arrive Howrah at 03.55 hrs o­n third day.
  • 02280 Superfast daily special will leave Howrah at 22.10 hrs with effect from 16.2.2021 until further advice and arrive Pune at 07.05 hrs o­n third day.
  • Halts: Daund Chord line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad Jn., Jalgaon, Bhusaval Jn., Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara Road, Tumsar, Gondia, Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Bhatpara,  Bilaspur, Champa, Raigarh, Bajrangnagar, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur

Railways will run festival special trains between Mumbai and Tirunelveli / Mangaluru and Special trains between Mumbai and Howrah/Ranchi to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below:

1)Mumbai–Howrah Special (Daily)

02259 special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 06.00 hrs with effect from 16.12.2020 and arrive Howrah at 12.30 hrs next day.

02260 special will leave Howrah at 14.00 hrs with effect from 14.12.2020 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 21.20 hrs next day.

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Honnavar, Udupi, Mangaluru Jn., Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palghat, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Kovilpatti (only for 06072).

02620 festival special will leave Mangaluru Central at 14.25 hrs with effect from 17.12.2020 to 31.12.2020 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 06.35 hrs next day.

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Mangaon (only for 02619), Khed (only for 02619), Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kudal, Madgaon, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Honnavar, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal

FULLY RESERVED SUPERFAST FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN HOWRAH & BARMER

Kolkata, November 3, 2020

To clear the rush of passengers, four (4) pairs of Fully Reserved Superfast Festival Special trains will be run between Howrah & Barmer. The 02323 Howrah-Barmer Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Howrah at 6.50 pm on November 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2020 to reach Barmer at 7.20 am on the third day. In return direction, the 02324 Barmer-Howrah Superfast Festival Special will leave Barmer at 3.55 pm on November 11, 18, 25 November & December 2, 2020 and reach Howrah at 6.10 am on the third day.

This train will have AC First Class, AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class accommodation. The train will stop at Asansol, Dhanbad, Koderma, Gaya, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Prayagraj Jn., Kanpur Central, Delhi, Rewari, Sadulpur, Churu, Ratangarh, Sujangarh, Ladnun, Didwana, Chhoti Khatu, Jodhpur, Samdhari and Balotra stations en route in both the directions.

Booking of the train in Up direction (02323) will be available from tomorrow at 8.00 a m through PRS & Internet.

  • Special charges will be levied for this train
  • LS coaches will be booked as 2S Class.
  • Concessional booking is not allowed for this train.
