Special trains between Mumbai and Howrah/Ranchi
Railways will run festival special trains between Mumbai and Tirunelveli / Mangaluru and Special trains between Mumbai and Howrah/Ranchi to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below:
1)Mumbai–Howrah Special (Daily)
02259 special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 06.00 hrs with effect from 16.12.2020 and arrive Howrah at 12.30 hrs next day.
02260 special will leave Howrah at 14.00 hrs with effect from 14.12.2020 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 21.20 hrs next day.
Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara Road, Gondia, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur and Santragachi (for 02259 only)
Composition: Two AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 13 Sleeper Class, 2 second class seating and one pantry car
2) Mumbai–Ranchi Special (Weekly)
08610 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.40 hrs every Friday with effect from 18.12.2020 and arrive Ranchi at 06.25 hrs on third day.
08609 special will leave Ranchi at 21.05 hrs every Wednesday with effect from 16.12.2020 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.25 hrs on third day.

06071 festival special will leave Dadar at 20.40 hrs every Thursday with effect from 17.12.2020 to 31.12.2020 and arrive Tirunelveli at 04.00 hrs on third day.
06072 festival special will leave Tirunelveli at 07.15 hrs every Wednesday with effect from 16.12.2020 to 30.12.2020 and arrive Dadar at 15.00 hrs next day.
Halts: Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Honnavar, Udupi, Mangaluru Jn., Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palghat, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Kovilpatti (only for 06072).
Composition: one AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 7 Sleeper Class and 3 second class seating.
4) Mumbai– Mangaluru Central Superfast Festival Special (Daily)
02619 festival special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 15.20 hrs with effect from 18.12.2020 to 01.01.2021 and arrive Mangaluru Central at 07.30 hrs next day.
02620 festival special will leave Mangaluru Central at 14.25 hrs with effect from 17.12.2020 to 31.12.2020 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 06.35 hrs next day.
Halts: Thane, Panvel, Mangaon (only for 02619), Khed (only for 02619), Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kudal, Madgaon, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Honnavar, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal
Composition: one AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class and 7 second class seating.
Reservation: Bookings for fully reserved festival special trains no 06071 & 02619 on special charges and for fully reserved special trains no. 02259 and 08610 will open on 12.12.2020 at all computerised reservation centres and on website www.irctc.co.in.

Train no 02221 Special will arrive/depart Raipur at 08.22/08.24 hrs & Train no 02222 special will arrive/dpart Raipur at 16.35 /16.37 hrs.

Kolkata, 11th November, 2020:
With a view to clear extra rush of passengers during Deepawali and Chhat Puja, South Eastern Railway has decided to run fully reserved Festival Special Trains between Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Ranchi-Patna.
08225/08226 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Hatia Special
08225 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special will run from Hatia every Saturday from 14/11/2020 to 28/11/2020. In the return direction, 08226 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Hatia Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Monday from 16/11/2020 to 30/11/2020.
This special train will have two AC 2 Tier, six AC 3 Tier, seven Sleeper Class and four general second class coaches and will run as per the existing timings of 02812/02811 Hatia-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Hatia Festival Special.
08255/08256 Ranchi-Patna-Ranchi Special
08255 Ranchi-Patna Special will run from Ranchi on 22/11/2020. In the return direction, 08256 Patna-Ranchi Special will leave Patna on 23/11/2020.
This special train will have one AC 2 Tier, six AC 3 Tier, nine Sleeper Class and four general second class coaches and will run as per the existing timings of 02849/02850 Ranchi-Patna-Ranchi Festival Special.

CHANGE IN TIMINGS OF HOWRAH-BHUBANESWAR AND RANCHI-PATNA SPECIAL TRAINS
Kolkata, 1stJune, 2020:
To comply with the prescribed protocols in train travel under present situation, it has been decided that 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Express Special and 02366 Ranchi-Patna Express Special Trains will run as per revised timings w.e.f. 2nd June, 2020.
Revised Timings of 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Express Special w.e.f. 02-06-2020
- 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Express Special leaving Howrah at 14:25 hrs will reach Bhubaneswar at 21:20 on the same day.
- The departure timing from Kharagpur will be at 16:20 hrs., from Jaleswar at 17:10 hrs., from Balasore at 17:47 hrs., from Soro at 18:12 hrs. and from Bhadrak at 18:52 hrs. in SER system.
- Revised Timings of 02366 Ranchi-Patna Express Special w.e.f. 02-06-2020
- 02366 Ranchi-Patna Express Special leaving Ranchi at 15:25 hrs. will reach Patna at 23:20 hrs. on the same day.

- 80625 Ranchi-Patna Suvidha Special leaving Ranchi at 23.45 hrs will reach Patna at 09.30 hrs, the next day. In the return direction,
- 80626 Patna-Ranchi Suvidha Special leaving Patna at 10.30 hrs will arrive Ranchi at 22.45 hrs, the same day.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW TRAIN BETWEEN RANCHI AND DEHRI on SONE
Kolkata, 13th September, 2019:
For the convenience of the travelling passengers, it has been decided that one pair of Express trains will be introduced between Ranchi and Dehri on Sone with Train No. 18635/18636. The train will run 6 days in a week (except Saturday from Ranchi and except Sunday from Dehri on Sone). on the inaugural day (15.09.2019), the train will run as Special Train (08636) between Daltongang and Ranchi tentatively leaving Daltongang at 12.00 hrs. on open path timings. There will be no service from Ranchi to Daltongang on that day. However, regular run of 18635/18636 Ranchi–Dehri on Sone-Ranchi Express will commence on and from 16.09.2019 from Ranchi and 17.09.19 from Dehri on Sone.
18635 Ranchi-Dehri on Sone Express leaving Ranchi at 17.15 hrs will reach Dehri on Sone at 23.30 hrs. In the return direction, 18636 Dehri on Sone-Ranchi Express leaving Dehri on Sone at 04.00 hrs will reach Ranchi at 10.05 hrs.
The train consisting of one AC-Chair Car and seven sonGeneral 2nd Class/2nd Class Chair CarCoaches will have stoppages at Piska, Nagjua, Lohardaga, Tori, Latehar, Barwadih, Daltonganj, Garwa Road and JaplabetweenRanchi and Dehri on Sone.

Central Railway will run 6 more summer special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Ranchi and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Patna to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer season 2019. The details as under:
1) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Ranchi Superfast Weekly Specials (4)
Train No. 02013 Superfast weekly special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01.10 hrs on Sunday (night of Sat/Sun) 12.5.2019 and 19.5.2019 (2 trips) and will arrive Ranchi at 06.30 hrs next day.
Train No. 02014 Superfast weekly special will leave Ranchi at 08.30 hrs on Monday 13.5.2019 and 20.5.2019 (2 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.05 hrs next day.

SER TO RUN SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN HOWRAH AND RANCHI VIA BISHNUPUR, BANKURA, ADRA & BOKARO STEEL CITY FROM 05.11.17
Kolkata, 2ndNovember, 2017:
To clear the extra rush of passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Tri-weekly Special trains between Howrah and Ranchi via Bishnupur-Bankura-Adra-Bokaro Steel City from 05.11.17 till further advice.
08627 Howrah-Ranchi Special leaving Howrah at 12.50 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday will reach Ranchi at 22.10 hrs on the same day. In the return direction, 08628 Ranchi-Howrah Special leaving Ranchi at 05.45 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday will arrive Howrah at 15.15 hrs on the same day.
The Special trains consisting of two AC Chair Car and ten General Chair Car coaches will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra, Bhojudih, Mohuda, Chandrapura, Bokaro Steel City, Jhalda and Muri stations enroute.

Kolkata, 11th October, 2017:
To clear the extra rush of passengers during Diwali/Chhat Puja , South Eastern Railway has decided to run nine pairs of Tri-weekly Special trains between Howrah and Ranchi during the period from 15.10.17 to 31.10.17 via Bishnupur-Bankura-Adra-Bokaro Steel City.
- 08627 Howrah-Ranchi Special leaving Howrah at 15.30 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday from 15.10.17 to 31.10.17 will reach Ranchi at 23.55 hrs on the same day. In the return direction,
- 08628 Ranchi-Howrah Special leaving Ranchi at 05.45 hrs every Sunday, Monday & Tuesday from 15.10.17 to 31.10.17 will arrive Howrah at 15.15 hrs on the same day.

CHANGE IN DAYS OF RUN OF 22891/22892 HOWRAH-RANCHI-HOWRAH INTERCITY EXPRESS
Kolkata, 3rd October, 2017:
It has been decided that with immediate effect, the days of run of 22891/22982 Howrah-Ranchi-Howrah Intercity Express via Tatanagar will be changed as under:
22891/22892 Howrah-Ranchi-Howrah Intercity Express will now run on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday both from Howrah and Ranchi instead of Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
However, there will be no change in existing timings and stoppages of the train.

It has been decided to restore the running of 58013/58014 Howrah-Adra-Bokaro
Steel City Passenger w.e.f 26.7.2017 from Howrah and w.e.f
27.7.2017 from Bokaro Steel City. There will be no change in timings of
58013 Howrah-Adra-Bokaro Steel City Passenger between Adra and Bokaro Steel
City. However, the timings of 58014 Bokaro Steel City-Adra-Howrah
Passenger between Bokaro Steel City and Adra which were slightly changed
earlier have again been partially revised as detailed below.
