Fully Reserved Special Trains:

North Frontier Railway has notified Fully Reserved Special trains as detailed below:

1. Train No.05930/05929 New Tinsukia – Tambaram - New Tinsukia Weekly Special:

With the composition of One- AC Two Tier, Four- AC 3 Tier Coaches, Eleven- Sleeper Class Coaches, Three- General Second Class coaches, One- Pantry Car and Two –Luggage Cum Brake Vans, Train No.05930 New Tinsukia – Tambaram Weekly Special will leave New Tinsukia at 06.30 hrs o­n Mondays from 28th December, 2020 and reach Tambaram at 21.25 hrs, the third day.

In Return Direction Train No. 05929 Tambaram - New Tinsukia Weekly Special will leave Tambaram at 18.55 hrs o­n Thursdays from 31st December, 2020 and reach New Tinsukia at 07.55 hrs, the fourth day.

Stoppages: Dibrugarh,  Dhemaji, North Lakhimpurpur, Harmuti , Viswanath Charali, Rangapara North, New Misamari ,  Rangiya,  New Bongaigaon,  Kokrajhar , New Alipurduar,  New Coochbehar, Dhupguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj , Barsoi, Malda Town, New Farakka, Pakur, Rampur Hat, Siuri, Andal Jn, Durgapur, Asansol, Joychandi Pahar, Purulia, Tatanagar, Hijilli, Balasore, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Berhampur, Visakhapatnam, Rajamundry, Eluru, Viyayawada,  Ongole,  Nellore and Chennai Egmore

Advance Reservations for the above Special trains will open at 08.00 hrs o­n 16th December, 2020 (Tomorrow) from Southern Railway end

2. Train No.02250/02249 New Tinsukia - KSR Bangaluru - New Tinsukia Weekly Super-Fast Special (Via Jolarpettai,Katpadi, Perambur) :

With the composition of One- AC Two Tier, Four- AC 3 Tier Coaches, Eleven- Sleeper Class Coaches, Three - General Second Class coaches, One- Pantry Car and Two –Luggage Cum Brake Vans, Train No. 02250 New Tinsukia - KSR Bangaluru Weekly Superfast Special will leave New Tinsukia at 18.05 hrs o­n Fridays from 18th December, 2020 and reach KSR Bangaluru at 11.15 hrs, the fourth day.

In Return direction Train No.02249 KSR Bangaluru - New Tinsukia Weekly Super-Fast Special will leave KSR Bangaluru at 03.15 hrs o­n Tuesdays from 22nd December, 2020 and reach New Tinsukia at 18.25 hrs, the third day

NFR has decided to introduce another passenger special train between Kamakhya and Murkongselek w.e.f. 1st October 2020. The introduction of this special train will enable passengers from a vast part of Assam to avail the facility of train travel to various parts of the country

CANCELLATION OF TRAIN SERVICES
The following train services are cancelled due to heavy rains and flooding of railway tracks in North-East Frontier Railway.
1.Train No.15629 Tambaram – Guwahati weekly express, scheduled to leave Tambaram at 21.45 hrs. on 14.08.2017, has been cancelled.
2.Train No.12507 Thiruvananthapuram – Guwahati (via Chennai Central) weekly express, scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram at 17.00 hrs. on 15.08.2017, has been cancelled.
3.Train No.15929 Tambaram – Dibrugarh weekly express, scheduled to leave Tambaram at 21.45 hrs. on 17.08.2017, has been cancelled.

Train services to North-East stopped due to floods

GUWAHATI, AUG 14:  
Train services to the Northeast from the rest of the country have been stopped till Wednesday in view of the flood in Assam, West Bengal and Bihar.
“The Railway Board has decided to cancel all incoming trains from various parts of the country towards NE Region, which were to reach either Katihar or Malda town till 10 am of August 16, 2017,” Northeast Frontier Railway chief public relations officer (CPRO) Pranav Jyoti Sharma said in a statement.
“Heavy rainfall in the last 72 hours in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and other NE states has resulted in railway operations being severely hampered as rain water has affected railway tracks at several places in Katihar and Alipurduar Division of NF Railway,” Sharma said.
In view of the flood situation, 11 outgoing trains have been cancelled by NF Railway today, Sharma said, adding four other trains have been short-terminated at various locations, he added.
Yesterday, 22 trains were cancelled, while 14 others were stopped at various places as tracks were flooded.
“While many rivers in Alipurduar and Katihar divisions are in spate, NF Railway authorities are keeping a close watch and continuously monitoring the situation of nearby railway bridges and tracks, taking all precautionary measures for safe train running,” the CPRO said.
Emergency control is being manned by senior officials at the headquarter and divisions, Sharma said, adding railway tracks were affected in as many as 12 locations initially, of which seven have been repaired and restored.
The authorities have opened additional counters at many stations, which are working round-the-clock to extend refund to passengers, he said.
Sharma informed that internal train connectivity from New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati, Guwahati to Dibrugarh and Murkongselek continued as usual. Trains on these routes are plying as per their normal schedule.
