Duranto special will run o­n existing days, path, stoppages and timings   

Reservation:  Bookings for extended trips of 02095 Duronto special o­n flexi fare will open o­n 3.10.2021 at all PRS locations and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.

Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these special trains adhering all norms, SOPs related to COVID19 during the boarding, travel and at destination.

CORONA EFFECT: CANCELLATION OF 35 TRIPS OF 10 SERVICES OVER W.RLY DUE TO LOW OCCUPANCY
 Western Railway has decided to cancel 35 trips of 10 train services due to low occupancy arriving out of COVID-19. Details of the cancelled trains are as under:-
 1.Train No.12227 Mumbai Central – Indore Duronto Express cancelled o­n 21st, 26th& 28th March 2020.
2.Train No.12228 Indore - Mumbai Central Duronto Express cancelled o­n 22nd, 27th& 29th March 2020. 
3.Train No.22923 Bandra (T) – Jamnagar Humsafar Express cancelled o­n 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th& 30th March, 2020.

Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derails LIVE UPDATES: 7 coaches go off track near Asangaon
Nagpur Mumbai Duronto Express derailed near Asangaon in Maharashtra this morning. Local trains have been affected by the accident. Central Railways officials said there have been no casualties so far.
Seven coaches of Nagpur-bound Duronto Express derailed on Tuesday near Asangaon in Maharashtra. Railway officials said there have been no casualties so far. Reports suggest a rescue team has reached from Kalyan.
“Seven coaches of Duronto Express Nagpur-Mumbai 12290 derailed between Asangaon and Vasind railway stations. So far, no casualties have been reported,” the Central Railway PRO said.
The derailment took place just days after the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed in Auraiya district on August 23 At least 81 people were injured after nine coaches of the train derailed in Uttar Pradesh, making it the second train accident in a week. On August 19, Kalinga Utkal Express had also derailed in Muzaffarnagar killing 22 people. Taking moral responsibility for the train accidents under his watch, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had offered to resign but was asked by the Prime Minister to “wait”. A) Revision in the composition of Train No.  22653 / 22654 Thiruvananthapuram Central - H.Nizamuddin - Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Express.
Southern Railway has decided to run the train No. 22653 / 22654 Thiruvananthapuram Central - H.Nizamuddin - Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Express with revised composition. The details are as under :
Existing Composition :
Total = 18 Coaches = 2 tier AC – 01 Coach, 3 tier AC – 01 Coach, Sleeper – 07 Coaches, General – 06 Coaches, SLR – 02 Coaches.
Revised Composition
Total = 19 Coaches : Composite (1st AC + 2 tier AC) – 02 Coaches, 3 tier AC – 01 Coach, Sleeper – 07 Coaches, General – 06 Coaches, SLR – 02 Coaches.
With effect from:
Ex Thiruvananthapuram Central from 05/08/2017.
Ex H.Nizamuddin from 07/08/2017.
B) Augmentation of Coach in 12284 / 12283 H.Nizamuddin - Ernakulam - H. Nizamuddin “Duranto” Express.
Northern Railway has decided to augment Two coaches in train No. 12284/12283 on temporary basis  The details are as under :

PROVISION OF OPTIONAL CATERING o­n RAJDHANI/DURONTO/ SHATABDI EXPRESS TRAINS
Kolkata, 31 July, 2017.
Optional catering service shall be introduced o­n all those Rajdhani/ Shatabdi/Duronto and other similar trains (except Gatiman Express) where catering charges are part of the ticket fare. Such trains under Eastern Railway are (1) 12259/12260 Sealdah -New Delhi-Sealdah Duronto Express, 
(2)12273/12274 Howrah-New Delhi- Howrah Duronto Express, 
(3) 12301/12302 Kolkata Rajdhani Express, 
(4)12305/12306 Kolkata Rajdhani Express, 
(5) 22201/22202 Sealdah-Puri-Sealdah Duronto Express and 
(6) 12313/12314 Sealdah Rajdhani Express.
Optional catering services o­n the above mentioned trains will be provided to passengers booking tickets from 1.8.2017 o­nwards for the journeys to commence o­n 1.8.2017 and o­nwards.
Passengers will be required to mandatorily exercise either of the options at the time of the booking of ticket so as to enable them to be aware of this scheme. Accordingly, catering service will be excluded or included after the mandatory option is exercised by the passengers. The catering charges shall be included in the ticket fare o­nly in case passengers opt for catering services and excluded in case passengers do not require catering services.
Duration of trials of this scheme will be for a period of 180 days subject to mid-term review of the scheme after 3 months.

Doctors to be deployed on-board Duronto Trains: MOS (Railways)

NEW DELHI: The central government on Wednesday said that the Indian Railways has deployed doctors on-board Duranto trains on a pilot basis for a period of two years.

“A pilot project of deployment of doctors in Duronto Trains was undertaken for a period of two years,” Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain informed the Lok Sabha.

However, the Minister clarified that patients with serious aliments would be de-boarded for medical treatment as necessary equipments like ECG machines do not function properly on-board due to vibrations.

“Station masters of all stations have details of doctors, clinics and hospitals, both government and private, in the vicinity of the station, so that their services could also be availed, in emergencies,” the minister explained.

“Ambulance services of both railway hospitals and state governments are utilised when required,” he concluded.

1. Train no.12615 Chennai Central - Delhi Sarai Rohilla Grand Trunk Express, scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 19.15 hrs. on 05.02.2017, has been rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 06.40 hrs. on 06.02.2017 (late by 11 hours and 25 minutes) due to late running of pairing train.
2. Train no.12269 Chennai Central - Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express, scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 06.40 hrs. on 06.02.2017, has been rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 10.15 hrs. on 06.02.2017 (late by 3 hours and 35 minutes) due to late running of pairing train.
3. Train No.11014 Coimbatore - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 08.55 hrs. on 05.02.2017, has been rescheduled to leave Coimbatore at 21.30 hrs. on 05.02.2017 (late by 12 hours and 35 minutes) due to late running of pairing train.

Train no.11063 Chennai Egmore - Salem express, scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 23.00 hrs. on 05.02.2017, has been rescheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 05.00 hrs. on 06.02.2017 (late by 6 hours) due to late running of pairing train.

South Central Railway  will augment Tr. No.12285 / 12286 Secunderabad-H.Nizamuddin-Secunderabad Bi-weekly Duronto Express with one Sleeper Class Coach permanently with a view to carry 72 more sleeper class passengers on every trip.

This augmentation will take place with effect from 29th October, 2015 for Tr. No.12285 Secunderabad-H.Nizamuddin Bi-Weekly Duronto Express and with effect from 30th October, 2015 for Tr.12286 H.Nizamuddin-Secunderabad Bi-weekly Duronto Express.

Indian Railways is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week from 26th to 31stOctober 2015 all over its network.

Coinciding with the same, Doordarshan will be telecasting a short educational film on Railways focussing on “Vigilance o­n Indian Railways” at 04:30 pm o­n Thursday, 29th October 2015 in the show ‘Good Evening India’ on Doordarshan channel.

The film carries a message from Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways; Shri A.K. Mital, Chairman Railway Board and the Vigilance Commission.

TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF EXPRESS TRAINS

In order to cater to the extra rush of rail passengers and to enhance the passenger carrying capacity, Railways has decided to augment the following trains o­n temporary basis as under:

·The 12911/12912 Valsad- Haridwar- ValsadExpress Train will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class Coach from 20.10.2015 to 17.11.2015 when departing from Valsadand from 21.10.2015 to 18.11.2015 when departing from Haridwar.

·The 19057/19058 Udhna- Varanasi- UdhnaExpress Train will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class Coach from 16.10.2015 to 13.11.2015 when departing from Udhnaand from 18.10.2015 to 15.11.2015 when departing from Varanasi.

·The 14854/14864/14866 - 14853/14863/14865Jodhpur- Varanasi- Jodhpur Marudhar Express Train will be augmented by one additional AC 2 Tier Coach from 16.10.2015 to 30.10.2015 when departing from Jodhpur and from 17.10.2015 to 31.10.2015 when departing from Varanasi.

·The 19709/19710 Jaipur- Kamakhya- Jaipur Kavi Guru Express Train will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class Coach from 19.10.2015 to 26.10.2015 when departing from Jaipurand from 22.10.2015 to 29.10.2015 when departing from Kamakhya.

·The 12265/12266 Delhi Sarai Rohilla- Jammu Tawi- Delhi Sarai Rohilla Duronto Express Train will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class Coach from 16.10.2015 to 29.11.2015 when departing from Delhi Sarai Rohilla and from 17.10.2015 to 30.11.2015 when departing from Jammu Tawi.

·The 22462/22461 Srimata Vaishno Devi Katra- New Delhi-  Srimata Vaishno Devi Katra Shree Shakti Express Train will be augmented by one additional AC 3 Tier Coach from 15.10.2015 to 30.11.2015 when departing from Srimata Vaishno Devi Katra and from 16.10.2015 to 01.12.2015 when departing from New Delhi.

SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY PROVIDES COMMERCIAL STOPPAGES AT GUNTAKAL AND SECUNDERABAD STATIONS FOR TRAIN NOS. 12213/12214 YESVANTPUR-DELHI SARAI ROHILLA-YESVANTPUR DURONTO EXPRESS :

South Central Railway (SCR)has advised for providing commercial stoppages at Guntakal and Secunderabad stations for one pair of Train No.12213/12214 Yesvantpur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Yesvantpur Duronto Express, as per the details mentioned below:--

Accordingly, Train No.12213 Yesvantpur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Duronto Express will arrive/depart at Guntakal station at 03-48/03-50 hrs; and arrive/depart at Secunderabad station at 08-55/09-10 hrs., with effect from 09th January, 2016.

In the return direction, Train No.12214 Delhi Sarai Rohilla –Yesvantpur Duronto Express will arrive/depart at Secunderabad station at 21-15/21-30 hrs; and arrive/depart at Guntakal Station at 03-00/03-02 hrs., with effect from 04th January, 2016.


SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY(SCR) &SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY(SWR) PROVIDES COMMERCIAL STOPPAGES AT RENIGUNTA, VIJAYAWADA, VIZIANAGARAM & BHUBANESHWAR STATIONS FOR TRAIN NOS. 12245/12246 HOWRAH-YESVANTPUR-HOWRAH DURONTO EXPRESS :

South Central Railway (SCR) & South Eastern Railway (SER)have advised for providing commercial stoppages at Renigunta, Vijayawada, Vizianagaram & Bhubaneshwar stations for one pair of Train No.12213/12214 Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express, as per the details mentioned below:--

Accordingly, Train No.12246 Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express will arrive/depart at Renigunta station at 16-50/16-55 hrs;Vijayawadaat 22-25/22-35 hrs., Vizianagaram at 04-35/04-45 hrs; and arrive/depart at Bhubaneshwar at 10-05/10-15 hrs.,with effect from 04th January, 2016.
