Central Railway to run 76 Winter Special trains for Christmas & New Year

Central Railway will run 76 Winter Special Trains between Mumbai-Karmali / Nagpur / Mangaluru / Thiruvananthapuram and between Pune-Nagpur / Amravati / Sanganer to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling during Christmas / New Year  and Winter holidays. 

The details are as under: -  

1 CSMT-Karmali-CSMT Daily Specials - 36 services

  • 01151 Daily Special will leave CSMT daily at 00.20 hrs from 19.12.2025 to 05.01.2026 and will reach Karmali at 13.30 same day. (18 services)
  • 01152 Daily Special will leave Karmali daily at 14.15 hrs from 19.12.2025 to 05.01.2026 and will arrive CSMT at 03.45 hrs next day. (18 services)
  • Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal and Thivim
  • Composition: 2 AC-2 Tier, 8 AC-3 Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 Second Class cum Guard’s brake van.

2 LTT- Thiruvananthapuram North-LTT  Weekly Specials - 8 services

  • 01171 Weekly Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Thursday at 16.00 hrs from 18.12.2025 to 08.01.2026 and will arrive Thiruvananthapuram North at 23.30 hrs next day. (4 services)
  • 01172 Weekly Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North every Saturday at 16.20 hrs from 20.12.2025 to 10.01.2026 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01.00 hrs o­n third day. (4 services)

  • 01186 Weekly Special will leave Mangaluru Jn every Wednesday at 13.00 hrs from 17.12.2025 to 07.01.2026 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 06.50 hrs o­n next day. (4 services)

  • Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha.

  • 01402 Weekly Special will depart Nagpur at  16.10 hrs every Saturday from  20.12.2025. to 03.01.2026 and arrive Pune at 11.45 hrs next day  (3 services)
  • Halts: Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon,  Manmad, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha.

6. Pune – Sanganer – Pune   Weekly Superfast Specials - 6 services

  • 01405 Weekly special will leave Pune at 09.45 hrs every Friday  from 19.12.2025 to 02.01.2026  and arrive Sanganer at 06.45 hrs next day. (3 services)
  • 01406 Weekly special will leave Sanganer at 11.35 hrs every Saturday from 20.12.2025 to 03.01.2026 and arrive Pune at 09.30 hrs next day. (3 services)
  • Halts: Lonavala, Kalyan, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat,  Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Ramganj Mandi, Kota  and Sawai Madhopur.
  • Composition: 4 AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 Second Class cum Guard’s brake van.

7. Pune-Amravati-Pune Weekly Specials - 6 services 

  • 01403 Weekly Special will leave Pune at 19.55 hrs every Saturday from   20.12.2025. to 03.01.2026 and arrive Amravati at 09.25 hrs next day (3 services)*
  • 01404 Weekly Special will depart Amravati at  12.00 hrs every Sunday from  21.12.2025. to 04.01.2026 and arrive Pune at 00.15 hrs next day  (3 services)*
  • Halts: Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon,  Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur and Badnera*.

Central Railway has announced running of 574 summer specials from/to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/Lokmanya Tilak Terminus/Panvel/Pune/Nagpur and Sainagar Shirdi to various destinations for the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush of passengers during April to June 2022.  

These include:

126 summer specials between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Manmad, Nagpur, Malda Town and Rewa;

6 summer specials between Dadar and Madgaon;

282 summer specials between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Shalimar, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Samastipur and Thivim:

18 summer specials between Panvel and Karmali;

20 summer specials between Nagpur and Madgaon;

100 summer specials between Pune and Karmali, Jaipur, Danapur, Virangana Lakshmibai station and Kanpur Central;

20 summer specials between Sainagar Shirdi and Dahar ka Balaji:

2 summer specials between Latur and Bidar

Bookings for all these summer specials are already opened. Please log in to www.irctc.co.in or visit nearest computerised reservation centre for reservation.

CR to run 36 weekly summer special trains between Mumbai and Nagpur / Malda Town

Central Railway will run 36 weekly summer special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Nagpur / Malda Town to clear the extra rush of passengers as under:

1)CSMT-Nagpur Weekly – 18 trips

01033 weekly superfast will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus every Saturday at 00.20 hrs from 09.4.2022 to 04.6.2022 and arrive Nagpur at 15.32 hrs same day.

01034 weekly superfast will leave Nagpur every Sunday at 13.30 hrs from 10.4.2022 to 05.6.2022 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 04.10 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Maklapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha

Composition: o­ne AC-2 Tier, Five AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class including guard's brake van and o­ne generator van.

2)CSMT-Malda Town Weekly – 18 trips

01032 weekly will leave Malda Town every Wednesday at 12.20 hrs from 13.4.2022 to 08.6.2022 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 03.50 hrs o­n third day.

Central Railway will run 14 summer special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thivim to clear the extra rush of passengers as under:

01045 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 22.15 hrs o­n 7.4.2022, 9.4.2022, 11.4.2022, 13.4.2022, 15.4.2022, 17.4.2022 and 19.4.2022 (7 trips) and arrive Thivim at 11.20 hrs next day.

01046 will leave Thivim at 14.10 hrs o­n 8.4.2022, 10.4.2022, 12.4.2022, 14.4.2022, 16.4.2022, 18.4.2022 and 20.4.2022 (7 trips) and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 04.05 hrs next day.

Central Railway will introduce AC suburban services between CSMT and Goregaon/Vashi/ Panvel/ Bandra  on Harbour line (by replacing non-ac services) with effect from 3.1.2022.  These AC services will be run as non-AC (normal) suburban services o­n Sundays.  The details of 16 services that will run as AC services are as under:

Increase in frequency of Mumbai-Chennai Triweekly Express

Central Railway has decided to increase the frequency of 22157/22158 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai-Chennai Egmore Triweekly Express to daily with effect from 12.12.2021 ex CSMT and from 15.12.2021 ex. Chennai Egmore.

There is no change in halts, timings and composition of this train

Reservation: Bookings for the increased frequency of train no. 22157 will open from 5.12.2021 at all computerised reservation centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.

Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block o­n its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works o­n 31.10.2021.

Matunga - Mulund Up and Dn Slow Lines from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm

Dn slow line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.18 am to 3.36 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations and will not halt at Vidyavihar, Kanjurmarg and Nahur stations. Further will be re-diverted o­n proper slow line at Mulund.

Up slow line services leaving Thane from 10.37 am to 3.55 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga and will not halt at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar stations. Further will be re-diverted o­n proper Up slow line at Matunga station.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm &

Chunabhatti / Bandra- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus / Vadala Road from 11.34 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9.56 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus leaving Goregaon/ Bandra from 10.45 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block o­n its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works o­n 3.10.2021.

Thane-Diva Up and Dn slow lines from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm

Dn Slow/Semi fast services leaving Mulund from 10.43 am to 3.46 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Mulund and Diva stations, halting at Thane and Diva stations and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up Slow/ Semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.37 am to 3.41 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Diva and Mulund stations, halting at Diva and Thane stations and further will be re-diverted o­n Up Slow line at Mulund station and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

All Up and Dn slow services leaving/arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive/depart 10 minutes behind schedule.

Panvel- Vashi Up and Dn harbour lines from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm

(Belapur-Kharkopar services not affected; Nerul-Kharkopar services remain cancelled)

Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 10.49 am to 4.01 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.03 am to 3.16 pm will remain suspended.

Up Transharbour line services towards Thane leaving Panvel from 9.01 am to 3.53 pm and Dn Transharbour line services towards Panvel leaving Thane from 10.01 am to 3.20 pm will remain suspended.

Dn line services for Kharkopar leaving Nerul from 10.15 am to 2.45 pm and Up line services for Nerul leaving Kharkopar from 10.45 am to 3.15 pm will remain cancelled.

Local train services between Belapur and Kharkopar will run as per schedule during the block period.

Special local trains will run o­n Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.

Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations during the block period.

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.           

On Main Line there is a 10 hours special block already announced o­n Up Slow line between Diva and Thane in connection with 5th and 6th Line.

Second Vistadome Coach Being Introduced o­n Pune-Mumbai Route

Railways decided to attach o­ne Vistadome coach in Train No. 02123/02124 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Pune – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai Deccan Queen Superfast Express special train from 15.8.2021.

This is the second Vistadome coach being introduced o­n this route. The first was introduced o­n this route by Train No. 01007/01008 CSMT-Pune-CSMT Deccan Express special train with effect from 26.6.2021. Considering the huge demand from the passengers o­n this route & overwhelming response to the Vistadome coach in Deccan Express, now it has been decided to attach o­ne Vistadome coach in Deccan Queen Superfast Express special train.

Train No. 02124 will leave Pune at 07.15 hrs and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 10.25 hrsTrain No. 02123 will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 17.10 hrs and arrive Pune at 20.25 hrs.

Composition: - o­ne Vistadome coach, Four AC Chair Car, 9 Second Class Seating  and Two second class seating cum guard’s brake van and o­ne Pantry Car.

Reservation: Bookings for the newly attached Vistadome coach in  train no 02123/02124 will be opened o­n 08.08.2021 at all PRS centers and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.

Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board this special train, adhering all norms, SOPs related to COVID19 during the boarding, travel and at destination.

Central Railway will run 72 special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus / Panvel and Sawantwadi Road / Ratnagiri to clear the extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival 2021. The details are as under:

1. CSMT-Sawantwadi Road Daily Special (36 trips)

01227 special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00.20 hrs daily from 05.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 14.00 hrs same day.

01228 special will leave Sawantwadi Road at 14.40 hrs daily from 05.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 04.35 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chilpun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Nandgaon Road, Sindhudurg and Kudal.

2. CSMT-Ratnagiri Bi-weekly Special (10 trips)

01229 bi-weekly special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus every Monday and Friday at 13.10 hrs from 06.9.2021 to 20.9.2021 and arrive Ratnagiri at 22.35 hrs same day.

01230 bi-weekly special will leave Ratnagiri every Sunday and Thursday at 23.30 hrs from 09.9.2021 to 23.9.2021 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 08.20 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane(only for 01229), Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chilpun, Sawarda, Aravali Road and Sangameshwar Road,

3. Panvel-Sawantwadi Road Tri-weekly Special (16 trips)

01231 tri-weekly special will leave Panvel every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 08.00 hrs from 07.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 20.00 hrs same day.

01232 tri-weekly special will leave Sawantwadi Road every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 20.45 hrs from 07.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Panvel at 07.10 hrs next day.

  • 01323 special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 12.00 hrs o­n 1.5.2021 and 2.5.2021 (2 trips) and arrive Gorakhpur at 20.00 hrs next day
  • 01324 special will leave Gorakhpur at 23.45 hrs o­n 2.5.2021 and 3.5.2021 (2 trips) and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 08.00 hrs o­n third day
  • Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Basti

Dn slow services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.48 am to 3.36 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vidyavihar stations, skipping the halt at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, Curry Road, Vidyavihar and further rediverted o­n Dn slow line proper.

Up slow services leaving Ghatkopar from 10.40 am to 3.52 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Vidyavihar and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus skipping halt at Vidyavihar, Currey Road, Chinchpokli, Sandhurst Road and Masjid.

Services will not be available at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, Curry Road and Vidyavihar during the block period.

Kurla-Vashi Up & Dn harbour lines from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm
