CHANGE IN ARRIVAL TIMINGS OF JAMMU TAWI – BANDRA SUPERFAST FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAIN AT BANDRA TERMINUS STATION

The arrival timing of Train No. 09028 Jammu Tawi – Bandra Terminus Superfast Festival Special train at Bandra Terminus stationhave been revised.

According to a Press Release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Rly, this train will now reach Bandra Terminus at 15.25 hrs instead of 14.50 hrs. Passengers are requested to kindly note the changes.

WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN FIVE MORE PARCEL SPECIAL TRAINS WITH   82 TRIPSBETWEEN BANDRA (T) – LUDHIANA, BANDRA (T ) – OKHA,   OKHA – GUWAHATI, DEWAS – JAMMU TAWI & PORBANDAR – SHALIMAR
Western Railway’s Parcel Special trains are continuously o­n the move, as per the timetable, during the lockdown period in the wake of COVID19. Western Railway is fullfilling the responsibility of transporting mostessential items like medical equipments, medicines, food grains etc across the nation, as it has always been fully committed to the needs of its customers. WR is also ensuring the supply of milk and milk products to different parts of the country through its milk special trains. In continuation to this, 5 moreparcel special trains with total 82 trips are scheduled to run between Bandra T- Ludhiana, Bandra T -Okha, Okha – Guwahati, Dewas – Jammu Tawi and Porbandar – Shalimar.
According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Rly, details of the 5 parcel specials viz Bandra T- Ludhiana, Bandra T – Okha, Okha – Guwahati, Dewas – Jammu Tawi and Porbandar – Shalimar, which are scheduled to be run are as follows :-
●Bandra Terminus – Ludhiana Parcel Special Train (26 trips)
Train No 00901 Bandra Terminus – Ludhiana parcel special train willdepart from Bandra Terminus at 20.00 hrs o­n 4th, 6th,8th,10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th & 28thJune, 2020 and will reach Ludhiana at 03.00 hrs o­n the 3rd day. Similarly, Train No 00902 will leave Ludhiana at 23.30 hrs o­n 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd,24th, 26th, 28th& 30th June, 2020 and will arrive Bandra Terminus at 06.30 hrs o­n 3rd day. The train will halt at Vapi, Surat, Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Falna, Beawar, Ajmer, Jaipur,Delhi and Ambala stations in both directions.
●Bandra Terminus – Okha Parcel Special Train ( 26 trips)
Train No 00921 Bandra Terminus- Okha Parcel special train will leave from Bandra (T) at 21.30 hrs o­n 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th & 28th June, 2020 and will reach Okha at 15.00 hrs the next day. Similarly, Train No 00920 Okha – Bandra (T) Parcel special will leave Okha at 13.30 hrs o­n 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th & 28th June , 2020 & will arrive Bandra (T) at 5.55 hrs the next day. The train will halt at Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Rajkot and Jamnagar station in both directions.
●Okha – Guwahati Parcel Special Train (12 trips)
Train No 00949 Okha – Guwahati parcel special train will leave Okha o­n 4th, 9th, 14th, 19th, 24th & 29th June 2020 at 07.15 hrs & will reach Guwahati o­n the third day at 17.00 hrs. Similarly, Train No 00950 Guwahati – Okha parcel special train will leave Guwahati at 16.00 hrs o­n 7th, 12th, 17th,22nd, 27thJune & 2nd July, 2020 & will reach Okha at 01.10 hrs o­n the fourth day. The train will halt at Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Chhayapuri, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn, Patna, Muzaffarpur Jn, Katihar, New Bongaigaon and Changsari stations in both directions.
●Porbandar – Shalimar Parcel Special Train (16 trips)
Train No 00913 Porbandar – Shalimar parcel special train will leave Porbandar at 8.00 hrs o­n 4th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, 25th& 28th June, 2020 & will reach Shalimar at 03.30 hrs o­n third day. Similarly, Train No 00914 Shalimar – Porbandar parcel special will leave Shalimar at 22.50 hrs o­n 6th, 10th, 14th, 18th, 22nd ,26th & 30th June, 2020 & will reach Porbandar at 18.25 hrs o­n third day. The train will halt at Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendra Nagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Nandurbar, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Nagpur, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda Jn, Rourkela, Chakaradharpur, Tata Nagar and Kharagpur Jn. stations in both directions.
●Dewas – Jammu Tawi Parcel Special Train (2 trips)
Train No 00931 Dewas – Jammu Tawi parcel special train left Dewas as per its scheduled time at 20.00 hrs o­n 3rd June 2020 & will reach Jammu Tawi at 02.00 hrs o­n 5th June, 2020. In its return journey Train No 00932Jammu Tawi – Dewas parcel special train will leave Jammu Tawi at 20.00 hrs o­n 5thJune 2020 to reach Dewas at 21.30 hrs the next day. The train will halt at Nagda, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, New Delhi and Chandigarh in both directions.
Shri Bhakar said that in the financial year 2020-2021, upto 2nd June, 292 parcel special trains were run with a load of approx. 44 thousand tonnes, thereby generating earnings of 13.82 crore. Similarly, Container & Non container loading for the financial year 2020-2021 upto 2nd June, 2020 was 4832 rakes with revenue of Rs 1110.48 crore. In the month of April, 2020, total 2174 rakes of container & non container loading was carried out with earnings amounting to Rs 463.69 crore and in May 2020, total of 2482 rakes of container & non container loading was carried out with earnings amounting to Rs 601.44 crore. In the 2 days of June 2020, 177 rakes loading earned Rs 45.35 crore. Whereas, since 22nd March to 2ndJune, 2020, total 5294 rakes of goods trains have been used to supply essential commodities amounting to 10.35 million tonnes. 10,424 freight trains were interchanged with other railways, including 5250 trains handed over and 5174 trains taken over at different interchange points.302 Millennium Parcel rakes of Parcel Vans / Railway Milk Tankers (RMTs) in all have been sent to different parts of the country to cope with the demands of essential materials such as milk powder, liquid milk, medical supplies and other general consumer goods. He stated that the total loss of earnings over Western Railway inclusive of suburban & non - suburban sections, since March, 2020, has been Rs 1149.30 crore o­n account of lockdown. Inspite of this, resulting to the cancellation of tickets till now, Western Railway has ensured to return refund amount ofRs 302.66 crore. It's worth mentioning that in this refund amount, Mumbai division alone, has ensured refund of Rs 142.76 crore. Till now, 46.36 lakh passengers have cancelled their tickets over entire Western Railway & have received their refund amount accordingly.
SHRAMIK SPECIAL TRAINS o­n WR
Western Rly has operated 1215SHRAMIK SPLtrains from 2.5.2020 to 2.6.2020, which have carried 18.25 lakh passengers to their desired destinations. Out of these 1215 trains, Mumbai division has handled highest 706 trains, Ahmedabad division 256, Vadodara division 99, Bhavnagar division 30, Rajkot division 117 and Ratlam division 6 Shramik trains. o­n 2nd June, 2020, WR operated o­ne Shramik Special train from Indore in Madhya Pradesh to Barddhaman Jn in West Bengal.

In order to clear extra rush during summer period, Northern Railway will run the   single sided (One direction) special train No. 04606  from Jammu Tawi to Howrah  as per the following schedule:
04606 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Special Express Train ( 01 Trip )
The 04606 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Special Express Train will depart from  Jammu Tawi on 02.06.2018 at 11.15 p.m. to reach Howrah at 11.30 a.m. the  third day. Comprising of sixteen A.C. three tier coaches, the 04606 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Special Train will stop at Pathankot Cantt., Jalandhar Cantt., Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt., Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Varanasi, Mughalsarai , Gaya, Dhanbad  & Asansol  stations enroute.

Consequently, the 24228 Kanpur Central –Varanasi Varuna Express Journey Commencing o­n  02.01.2018  will short originate from Lucknow. The 24227 /24228 Varanasi – Kanpur Central –Varanasi Varuna Express Train will remain partially cancelled  between  Lucknow-  Kanpur Central –Lucknow .

EXTENSION OF RUN OF SPECIAL TRAIN
To clear extra rush of rail passengers, Railways have decided to extend the run of 04111/04112 Allahabad- Jammu Tawi - Allahabad Weekly Special Train as per the following programme-
·The 04111/04112 Allahabad- Jammu Tawi - Allahabad Weekly Special Train will be extended to run o­n every Wednesday from 05.07.2017 to 30.08.2017 (09 trips) when departing from  Allahabad and o­n every Thursday from  06.07.2017 to 31.08.2017  when departing from Jammu Tawi  (09 trips).

EASTERN RAILWAY RUNS SINGLE PAIR OF AASTHA CIRCUIT SPECIAL 

Kolkata, April 19, 2017

Eastern Railway will run o­ne pair of Aastha Circuit Special (00315/00316), organized by Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC)/East Zone between Kolkata and Jammu Tawi stations.

The Up special (00315) will leave Kolkata station o­n 20thApril, 2017 at 17.20 hrs. and will reach Jammu Tawi at 5.00 hrs on 26thApril, 2017. The train will halt at Gaya, Mathura and Haridwar enroute.

The Dn Special (00316) will leave Jammu Tawi o­n 28thApril, 2017 at 8.30 hrs and will reach Kolkata station at 10.40 hrs on 30thApril, 2017.

The Special will consists of 18 coaches including 9 sleeper class, 6 general second class and 2 second class-cum-luggage vans & o­ne Pantry Car.

In order to cater to the extra rush of rail passengers and to enhance the passenger carrying capacity, Railways has decided to augment the following trains on temporary basis as per the following programme:
· The 19269/19270 Porbandar-Muzaffarpur Express Train will be augmented by one additional AC three tier coach on 02.02.2017,03.02.2017,09.02.2017,10.02.2017, 16.02.2017,17.02.2017,23.02.2017 & 24.02.2017 when departing from Porbandar and on 05.02.2017,06.02.2017,12.02.2017,13.02.2017, 19.02.2017,20.02.2017,26.02.2017 & 27.02.2017 when departing from Muzaffarpur.
· The 19027/19028 Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi Vivek Express Train will be augmented by one additional AC three tier coach on 04.02.2017,11.02.2017,18.02.2017& 25.02.2017 when departing from Bandra Terminus and on 06.02.2017,13.02.2017,20.02.2017& 27.02.2017 when departing from Jammu Tawi .

· The 22949/22950 Bandra Terminus-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express Train will be augmented by one additional AC three tier coach on 01.02.2017,08.02.2017,15.02.2017& 22.02.2017 when departing from BandraTerminus and on 02.02.2017,09.02.2017,16.02.2017& 23.02.2017 , when departing from Delhi Sarai Rohilla

The 12237/12238 Varanasi-JammuTawi-Varanasi Begampura Express Train will be augmented by one additional First AC cum AC two tier coach from 09.02.2017 when departing from Varanasi and from 10.02.2017  when departing from Jammu Tawi on permanent  basis.

PROGRAMS TO BE LAUNCHED SIMULTANEOUSLY FROM NORTHERN RAILWAY ZONAL HEADQUARTERS, NEW DELHI AND FROM DIVISIONAL HEADQUARTERS, FIROZPUR THROUGH VIDEO-CONFERENCING MODE o­n 08.02.2017 WITH INVITATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS on 09.02.2017

Indian Railways is planning to kick start its ambitious plan to redevelop 400 key stations in the countrythrough a ceremonial launch program under the aegis of Hon’ble Railway Minister, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu at New Delhi. On Northern Railway, Faridabad and Jammu Tawi railway stations have been identified to be re-developed, through a synchronized digital launches from the Northern Railway Zonal Headquarters, Baroda House, Copernicus Marg New Delhi and at Divisional Headquarters, Firozpur respectively o­n 8th February 2017(Wednesday). In keeping with expeditious target achievement, the Railway also plans to invite tender documents the following day of the launch i.e. on 09.02.2017.

The redeveloped stations will provide amenities and services to the passengers in line with world class railway stations. The stations will be redeveloped through public-private-partnership (PPP) model without straining Railways' finances. The redeveloped stations will improve passenger experience by providing amenities like digital signage, escalators / elevators, self ticketing counters, executive lounges, luggage screening machines, walkways, holding areas for passengers, grand and distinctive roofing and flooring, free and paid Wi-Fi etc. The program will benefit more than 100 cities and 16 million passengers per day across the country.

Railway Board has devised an innovative plan to provide these amenities through PPP model by leveraging the real estate available at the railway stations. With an overall size of 1 lakh crore, the program is o­ne of the largest PPP program undertaken in the country. The program will provide 2,200 acres of prime land to the private developers for a 45 year lease period. Commercial potential of this vacant Railway land at/near stations will be leveraged to develop world class stations with no additional funding required from the Railways. The program will also generate surplus for the Indian Railways which can be invested in other modernization projects. Select high potential stations will be made as iconic stations and will be developed as per highest global standards and design norms.

To maximize commercial potential of the public assets, Indian Railways plans to bid out the projects through a transparent and competitive method. Taking cue from global best practices, Indian Railways has adopted the so called “Modified Swiss Challenge” methodology for the bidding process. Under this method, zonal railways will approach the markets soliciting plans and financial models for developing about 400 stations in a phased manner. The best proposal based o­n a rigorous technical and financial evaluation will be selected as the project proponent. Then it will disclose that proposal to the open market again inviting anyone to better it. If no o­ne betters it, the developer with the proposal gets the contract. If someone matches it, then the developer gets the first right to refuse. And if the market throws up a better offer, Railways is free to accept it. In the interest of transparency, each zonal railway will form a panel of experts to evaluate the proposal. The entire plan got the nod from the Union Cabinet in 2015.

To take the program further in a planned fashion, Indian Railways hired The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a strategic adviser for the program. Commercial feasibility assessment was conducted for all 400 stations. Indian Railways also reached out to the private developers and investors through road shows in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Abu Dhabi to gauge market interest and receive feedback o­n the bidding process. Railway Board has also interacted with the zonal railways through multiple workshops to accurately assess land availability. Indian Railways has also developed cost estimates for all 400 stations based o­n the amenities required at the stations.

Based o­n the detailed assessment and market feedback, Indian Railways has prioritized about 23 stations in the pipeline for Phase I. As announced by Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble Minister of Railways, in the launch ceremony of Gandhinagar station redevelopment o­n 9th January 2017, Indian Railways is ready to launch these 23 major stations for redevelopment.21 of these stations will be launchedon 8th of February 2017. These stations are as follows:Bandra Terminus, Bangalore Cantt., Bhopal, Borivali, Chennai central, Faridabad, Howrah, Indore, Jammu Tawi, Kamakhya, Kozhikode, Lokmanya Tilak (T), Mumbai Central (Main), Pune, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Thane, Udaipur City, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Yesvantpur. Railways will provide 145 acres of encroachment free land at these stations to the developers o­n a45 year lease.Indian Railways has also appointed nodal officers in each zone to ensure smooth interactions with the developers. This phase is expected to be of 13,000 Cr in size. Based o­n the commercial assessment conducted and several rounds of discussions held with the developers and zonal railways, Indian Railways team is confident that the round will generate sufficient market interest.

These stations are in addition to stations being redeveloped by the Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) through other modes. In addition to Habibganj being contracted to Bansal Pathways under PPP program, IRSDC has inaugurated Gandhinagar station in partnership with the Gujarat state government and invited bids for Bijwasan railway station.

Indian Railways will incorporate learning from the current round of bidding and implement the learning in subsequent phases planned for July 2017 and December 2017. Indian Railways is also taking advisory from BCG o­n its organization structure and processes to handle the program in a holistic and sustainable manner. The recommendations will be centered o­n strengthening the organization and processes at both Railway Board and Zonal Railways.

For the convenience of passengers during festive occasion of Durga Pooja, Dasshera & Diwali and with a view to meet the travel demand during the season, Western Rly will run three Superfast special trains between Mumbai Central-Lucknow Jn, Bandra (T)-Gorakhpur and Bandra (T)-Jammu Tawi, with total 40 services. These trains will be fully reserved & will run o­n special fare with special charges.

·09013/ 09014 Mumbai Central-Lucknow Jn Weekly Superfast ‘ Suvidha’   Special (12 Trips)

Train No. 09013 Mumbai Central-Lucknow Weekly Superfast Suvidha Special train will leave Mumbai Central at 19.45 hrs o­n every Thursday and will reach Lucknow at 20.35 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 6th October, 2016 to 10th November, 2016 with total 6 trips.

Similarly, In return direction Train No. 09014 Lucknow–Mumbai Central Weekly Superfast Suvidha Special train will leave Lucknow at 22.45 hrs o­n every Friday and will arrive Mumbai Central at 23.10 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 7thOctober, 2016 to 11th November, 2016 with total 6 trips.

This train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ujjain, Bina, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur Central stations in both the directions.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class & Pantry car coaches.

·09015/ 09016  Bandra(T)-Gorakhpur Weekly Superfast ‘Suvidha’ Special (14 Trips)

Train No. 09015 Bandra (T)-Gorakhpur Weekly Superfast Suvidha special train will leave Bandra (T) at 05.10 hrs o­n every Sunday and will reach Gorakhpur at 14.40 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 2nd October, 2016 to 13th November, 2016 with total 7 trips.

Similarly, In return direction Train No. 09016 Gorakhpur–Bandra (T) Weekly Superfast Suvidha special train will leave Gorakhpur at 07.00 hrs o­n every Tuesday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 17.35 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 4thOctober, 2016 to 15th November, 2016 with total 7 trips.

            This train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Achhnera, Mathura Jn., Kasganj, Kannauj, Kanpur Anwarganj, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda and Basti stations in both the directions.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier & Sleeper Class coaches.

·09021/ 09022  Bandra(T) – Jammu Tawi Weekly AC Superfast Special (14 Trips)

Train No. 09021 Bandra (T)–Jammu Tawi Weekly AC Superfast special train will leave Bandra (T) at 05.10 hrs o­n every Monday and reach Jammu Tawi at 15.30 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 3rd October, 2016 to 14th   November, 2016 with total 7 trips.

Similarly, In return direction Train No. 09022 Jammu Tawi–Bandra (T) Weekly AC Superfast Special will leave Jammu Tawi at 23.15 hrs o­n every Tuesday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 07.35 hrs o­n Thursday. This train will run from 4th October, 2016 to 15th November, 2016 with total 7 trips.
This train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Hindaun City, Mathura Jn., New Delhi, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt and Pathankot Cantt stations in both the directions.
The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier & AC Chair Car coaches. The train will be fully reserved and run as special train o­n special fare.

The booking for Train no. 09021 will be opened from 26th August, 2016 & the booking for Train nos. 09013 and 09015 will be opened as per the Advance Reservation Period of 30 days, at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.

A.C. SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN JAMMU TAWI AND SECUNDERABAD

For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush, Railway will run the train No. 07067/07068 Secunderabad- Jammu Tawi- Secunderabad A.C. Special as per the following programme:
The 07067 Secunderabad- Jammu Tawi A.C. Special train will depart from Secunderabad o­n 21.07.2016 & 28.07.2016 (02 Trips) at 03.30 p.m. to reach Jammu Tawi at 04.55 a.m. the third day. In the return direction, the 07068 Jammu Tawi- Secunderabad A.C.  Special train will depart from Jammu Tawi on 23.07.2016 & 30.07.2016 (02 Trips) at 03.00 p.m to reach Secunderabad at 05.50 a.m. the third day.
Comprising of three AC II Tier & eleven AC III Tier coaches, the 07067/07068 Secunderabad- Jammu Tawi- Secunderabad A.C. Specialtrain will stop at Charapalli, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Ballarshah, Nagpur, Pandhuma, Betul, Itarsi, Habibganj, Beena, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantt. Mathura, Delhi Safdarjung, Ambala Cantt.., Ludhiana Jn. & Pathankot Cantt.stations enroute in both the directions.
