Special Trains between Mumbai and Agra Cantonment / Habibganj

Railways will run special trains between Mumbai and Agra Cantonment / Habibganj to clear the extra rush of passengers as per details given below:

1. Mumbai- Agra Cantonment weekly special

  • 02161 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Friday at 16.25 hrs with effect from 19.2.2021 until further advice and arrive Agra Cantonment at 15.05 hrs next day.
  • 02162 special will leave Agra Cantonment every Saturday at 19.45 hrs with effect from 20.2.2021 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.15 hrs next day.
  • Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Timarni, Itarsi, Habibganj, Bina, Jhansi, Dabra, Gwalior, Morena.
  • Composition: o­ne AC-2 Tier, Four AC-3 Tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 3 second class seating.

2. Mumbai- Habibganj weekly special

  • 02153 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Thursday at 16.25 hrs with effect from 18.2.2021 until further advice and arrive Habibganj at 05.50 hrs next day.
  • 02154 Special will leave Habibganj every Friday at 18.00 hrs with effect from 19.2.2021 until further advice and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.25 hrs next day.
  • Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda (for 02154 o­nly), Itarsi, Hoshangabad.
  • Composition: o­ne AC-2 Tier, Four AC-3 Tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 3 second class seating.

Reservation: Bookings for fully reserved special trains no. 02161 and 02153 o­n normal fares will open from 16.02.2021 at all computerised reservation centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in.

Doordarshan India gears up for Global Coverage of President Trump’s Visit to India

Doordarshan has deployed a vast fleet of High Definition(HD) OB Vans and cameras distributed across multiple locations in the three cities of Ahmedabad, Agra and New Delhi to generate the Live Feed for DD India which will be distributed globally.
Doordarshan, the Television Network of Prasar Bharati - India’s Public Broadcaster, is all set for global coverage of ‘Namaste  Trump’ event and US President Trump's visit to India through its English News Channel “DD India”.
Apart from the major American and European TV News Networks who will be carrying the global live feed of DD India, the event will also be available in Korea through DD India on the myK Platform as well as in Bangladesh via satellite. International viewers will be able to watch DD India’s live feed through YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGDQNvybfDDeGTf4GtigXaw) and through Prasar Bharati’s Global Digital Platform – NewsOnAir available on Android and iOS Platforms.
Doordarshan’s deployment in Ahmedabad comprises one OB Van at the Airport with 16 cameras and two OB Vans at Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera Stadium) with 24 Cameras. 45 Cameras have been deployed for the coverage of road show. One production control room with connection to 45 Cameras for road show is set up at Indira bridge enroute to stadium. Another OB set up with loose 7 cameras is made at Sabarmati Ashram. All the four production control panels at Airport, Indira Bridge, Stadium and Sabarmati are linked via Optical Fibre Cables to be uplinked to Delhi. The coverage involves more than 50 Kms of Optical Fibre , nearly 100 camerapersons and as many for production and management of the technical infrastructure.
At Agra, a 10 Camera HD production set up is deployed for road show with 3 HD DSNGs. At Delhi, one HD OB Van with 10 Cameras and 2 HD DSNGs are deployed at Rashtrapati Bhawan for ceremonial reception, Guard of Honour and banquet in the evening. One HD OB with 8 cameras and 2 HD DSNGs are deployed at Hyderabad house for bilateral talks and signing of MOUs. One HD DSNG deployed at Airport Delhi for arrival and departure coverage. Two HD DSNGs are also deployed at Rajghat.
With this extensive deployment, Prasar Bharati’s global English news channel, DD India, is all set to provide a bird’s eye view of the much awaited multi-city two day visit of President Donald Trump to India.

The 04193 Agra Cantt.-Jammu Tawi Weekly Express Special train will depart fromAgra Canttat 10.40 a.m. on every Friday from 08.11.2019 to 13.12.2019 to reach Jammu Tawi at 01.25 a.m. the next day (06 trips). In the return direction, the 04194 Jammu Tawi-Agra Cantt.Weekly Express Special train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 05.30 a.m. on every Saturday from 09.11.2019 to 14.12.2019 to reach Agra Canttat 09.00 p.m. the same day (06 trips).
Comprising of one AC two tier, five AC three tier, eight Sleeper Class , six General Class &two disabled friendly second class cum luggage van coaches, the 04193/04194 Agra Cantt.-Jammu Tawi-Agra Cantt. Weekly Express Special trainwill stop at Mathura Jn. , Delhi Safdarjung, Ambala & Ludhianastations enroute in both the directions.

W.RLY TO RUN 8 MORE SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS WITH 136 TRIPS FROM MUMBAI TO JAIPUR, AJMER, GORAKHPUR & JAMMU TAWI AHMEDABAD TO PATNA, GANDHIDHAM TO AMRITSAR AND UDHANA TO AGRA CANTT
For the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush during summer vacation, Western Railway had already announced 186 services of 8 summer special trains to various parts of India like New Delhi, Indore, Gandhidham, Patna, Mangalore etc. In addition to these trains, Western Railway has now planned 136 services of 8 more Summer Special trains from Mumbai to Jaipur, Ajmer, Gorakhpur & Jammu Tawi, Ahmedabad to Patna, Gandhidham to Amritsar and Udhna – Agra Cantt. According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, after inclusion of these new special trains, the total number of Summer Special trains notified by Western Railway till date has gone upto 16 trains with 344 services. These special trains will run o­n special fare.
·09724/09723 Bandra Terminus – Jaipur Weekly Superfast Special Train o­n Special Fare(26 Trips)
Train No. 09724 Bandra Terminus – Jaipur (Weekly) Superfast Special train will leave Bandra Terminus o­n every Thursday at 06.15 hrs to reach Jaipur at 03.10 hrs the next day. This train will run from 4th April to 27thJune, 2019.
Similarly, Train No.09723 Jaipur – Bandra Terminus (Weekly) Superfast Special train will leave Jaipur every Wednesday 08.10 hrs and will reach Bandra Terminus at 04.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 3rd April to 26th June, 2019.
The train will have First AC, AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. The train will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nimach, Chittaugarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Kishangarh and Kanakpura stations in both directions.

Similarly, Train No. 09052 Agra Cantt – Udhna Weekly Super Fast Special train will leave Agra Cantt. at 13.40 hrs o­n every Friday and reach Udhna at 07.00 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 12th April to 28th June, 2019.
This train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper class and General Second class coaches. The train will halt at Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bayana and Fatehpur Sikri stations in both directions.

            It is notified for the information of the general public that the 13007/13008 Howrah - Shri Ganganagar – Howrah Udyan Abha Toofan Express will remain partially Cancelled between Howrah - Agra Cantt.- Howrah  from 09.12.2017  to  13.02.2018  from Howrah and from 10.12.2017 to 14.02.2018 from Agra Cantt. instead of earlier notified partial cancellation between Agra Cantt.-Shri Ganganagar - Agra Cantt.  Now the 13007 Howrah - Sir Ganganagar Udyan Abha Toofan Express will run between Agra Cantt.- Shri Ganganagar from 09.12.2017 to 14.02.2018 while the 13008 Shri Ganganagar – Howrah  Udyan Abha Toofan Express will run between Shri Ganganagar - Agra Cantt.  from  10.12.2017  to  13.02.2018.

IRCTC launches Golden Triangle Shatabdi Trains week-end package

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rolled out a rail ­based weekend travel package from November 21 that allows fast paced travellers to zip through the Golden Triangle the three historic and vibrant cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in three Shatabdi Express trains. The two ­day rail tour package to Agra and Jaipur from Delhi is an initiative in which train tickets in three Shatabdi Express have been linked to offer a comfortable and hassle­ free travel schedule to those travellers for whom time is precious. “This is one of the innovative travel packages which eminently suits those travellers who are planning a short­ duration getaway. The package allows them to experience the magnificence of some of the most famous monuments in India,” said IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director A K Manocha.

The package, slated for every Saturday and Sunday, will be beginning from November 21. The one night/two days Golden Triangle package begins with guests boarding the Delhi Habibganj Shatabdi early morning at New Delhi station and de­boarding at Agra. The package includes sightseeing of the world famous Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and Id­Matud­daula with lunch at a star hotel in Agra. Following this, the guests board the Agra Jaipur Shatabdi to reach Jaipur for the overnight halt. The next morning, after breakfast, guests would be taken to the famous Amber Fort, the 16th century palace known for large ramparts, gates and cobbled paths. Lunch will be organised at the hotel. Post­lunch, guests will have an opportunity to savour the grandeur of the Jaipur rulers at the City Palace museum. On the final leg of the journey, guests will travel on Jaipur New Delhi Shatabdi Express to reach here. All sightseeing will be conducted in air ­conditioned vehicles with experienced licensed guides onboard to narrate the stories and aesthetics involving the monuments, Manocha said. The package is priced at Rs.9444 per person on a double occupancy basis, and it excludes the entrance fee to monuments.

28 AC SUPERFAST BI-WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN MANMAD & HAZRAT NIZAMUDDIN                       

Railways have decided to run 28 Air-conditioned superfast bi-weekly special trains between Manmad and Hazrat Nizamuddin to clear the extra rush of passengers during puja and festival rush.  The details are as under: 

04433 AC superfast bi-weekly special will leave Manmad at 17.35 hrs o­n every Tuesday and Friday from 13.10.2015 to 27.11.2015 (14 trips) and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 15.10 hrs next day. 

04434 AC superfast bi-weekly special will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 19.50 hrs o­n every Monday and Thursday from 12.10.2015 to 26.11.2015 (14 trips) and arrive Manmad at 16.20 hrs next day.

Halts – Bhusaval, Habibganj, Jhansi and Agra.

Composition – One AC First class, 7 AC 2-tier, 7 AC 3-tier.

Maharaja Express bags Seven Star Global Luxury Award

Allahabad: Maharaja Express, the luxury train that offers royal tour on five routes, including Agra and Varanasi, was recently conferred the coveted ‘Seven Star Global Luxury Award’ in Indonesia. The award, launched in 2013, is given for excellence in the field of hospitality. The train is operated by Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Integrated online ticket system to start soon by IRCTC &UPSRTC

AGRA: In a first of its kind initiative, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) have come together to introduce integrated online ticket system. 

The initiative is a bid to reach destinations inaccessible by railways and also facilitate passengers who prefer to travel by road. 

Speaking to TOI, Vineet Seth, general manager, UPSRTC said, "This idea is a game-changer and it will not only promote tourism in the state but also give an exquisite experience of traveling with the UP roadways." 

Explaining how the process, Seth said, "One will be able to book UPSRTC bus along with train tickets from the IRCTC portal. The bookings will also include porter charges. Once the tickets are booked, the passenger list will be available with the UP roadways. If a passenger from Kashmir, to give an example, wants to visit UP, he or she can alight at Delhi and take the luxury bus from the station itself." 

"After alighting at the railway station, an IRCTC porter will take care of passengers' luggage till the time the bus arrives. Conductor of the bus will then cross check names of passengers and allot seats," he added. 

The service, expected to start from the next week, will be available for major tourist destinations including Agra, Meerut and the National Capital Region for the first three months.

IRCTC cab service plan sparks protest

Agra: Protesting against the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) move to provide online cab services, to ferry tourist in and around Agra and Mathura, Agra Cantt station driver and tour operators union has alleged that IRCTC did not consult them even once before launching the service. 

There are total 220 registered cabs and 550 taxi at Agra Cantt station that have been ferrying tourists in and around of Agra for last 40 years.

Speaking to TOI, Riyaz Usmani, vice president of union said, "We don't understand, how IRCTC can ignore our presence and prefer to hire new tour operators. Our union has been working for last 40 years here. IRCTC is hurting our livelihood as nearly 770 drivers and their families are associated with the business at Agra Cantt station." 

He said, "We all drivers are qualified, well-aware of local places and are accredited by the department of tourism. This is totally absurd on the part of IRCTC, that they have not given us chance to work in collaboration with them." 

Sandeep Dutta, public relation officer of IRCTC, said, "We are not giving any kind of favor to anyone. It was open tender and all tour operators were free to participate in it." 

In a bid to encourage tourism and provide hassle free cab service, IRCTC will be launching cab service between Agra-Mathura and Fatehpur Sikri this week. It will provide an option on its website to book cab other than train tickets for the same. 

The service will need to be booked at least 36 hours in advance so that the allotment of individual taxis and porters can arranged. The facilities can be reserved while booking tickets through IRCTC website. The passengers will be provided details about the cab 45 minutes before the arrival of the train at the destination. 

A passenger will need to pay Rs 1,500-1,600 for a half-day ride, which will take him to local monuments, while for full-day one has to pay Rs 2700 in which cab service provider can take the tourist to Mathura or Fatehpur Sikri to tour forts and other religious places. 

Meanwhile, UP tourism has also come up with a plan to give around 35 tour packages to tourists.

Mathura (MTJ): BJP MP Hema Malini today said that she wants Mathura railway station to be developed in such a way that it reflects birthplace of Lord Krishna.
“Mathura railway station should be a blend of heritage look with modernisation like escalator and better waiting rooms for general class passengers. Instead of taking rest on the ground, the passengers in general waiting rooms should be provided benches,” Malini said.

 “Mathura station must be developed in such a way that it reflects birthplace of Lord Krishna,” she added.

 She was here to inaugurate third entry systems with ticket booking facility at Mathura station.

 Stressing on the need to make the station neat and clean, she appealed to the passengers not to spit on the pillars.

 Appreciating the catering system, the MP said that for other facilities she would discuss with the Railway Minister.

 The MP suggested that more coaches should be added to trains running between Mathura and Vrindavan.

 Agra’s Divisional Railway Manager Prabhash Kumar said that he will try to get funds from MPLAD for giving heritage look to Mathura station.

 “I will try to get amount from Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund for giving heritage look to Mathura station,” Kumar said.

 “For maintaining cleanliness at Mathura station, washing apron system of boulders is in operation,” he said.

 He refuted the charge of mass cancellation of tickets owing to Gujjar agitation.

 “While most of the trains are commuting on Agra-Bina-Nagda route, few are passing through Bandikui and Jaipur,” he said.

 He informed that the work of 113 rail underbridges and overbridges in Agra division has been given green signal by the Ministry of Railways.

 Clearance has also been received for connecting circulating area with platform number 2 and 4, the DRM said.
