CANCELLATION OF TRAIN SERVICES
Due to non-interlocked working to facilitate doubling works in Delhi – Meerut City – Saharanpur section of Northern Railway, train services between Kochuveli – Dehradun have been cancelled as detailed below.
1.Train No.22659 Kochuveli – Dehradun express, scheduled to leave Kochuveli o­n 07.07.2017, has been fully cancelled.
2.Train No.22660 Dehradun – Kochuveli express, scheduled to leave Dehradun o­n 10.07.2017, has been fully cancelled.

SANGAM EXPRESS PROVIDED ADDITIONAL STOPPAGE AT PANKI STATION

For the convenience of rail passengers, Railways has decided to provide additional stoppage to the train nos. 14163/14113-14164/14114 Allahabad-Dehradun/Meerut Cantt. Allahabad  Sangam  Express  Train at  Panki Station from 15.05.2017 o­n  experimental basis for six months , as per the following programme -
           The 14163/14113 Allahabad-Dehradun/Meerut Cantt. Sangam  Express  Train will arrive at  PankiStation at 09.43 p.m., while its return service, the 14164/14114 Dehradun/Meerut Cantt. - Allahabad  Sangam  Express Train will arrive at  Panki Station at 03.37 a.m. with o­ne minute  stoppage in both the directions.

Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express derails in UP; railways, Adityanath announce compensation -Live

Eight coaches of the Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express derailed on Saturday morning.

The incident took place at 8:15am between Rampur and Mundapanda --- near a bridge over the Koshi river.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Here are the Live updates: 

• Railways ministry says all the stranded passengers are being taken to their destination and traffic along the route has been restored.

• Railway releases a list of injured passengers.

The injured passengers have been moved to district hospitals in Rampur, some five kilometres away from the derailment site.

 After Yogi Adityanath, Indian Railways announces Rs 50,000 compensation for the injured.

• Northern railway spokesperson says two passengers have been injured and there are no casualty in the accident. Earlier, authorities said 10 people were injured.

• UP chief minister Adityanath Yogi announces Rs 50,000 compensation to those seriously injured in the accident and Rs 25,000 for passengers with minor injuries.

• NDRF teams, railway and police officials are on the spot of the accident for rescue efforts.

• Moradabad Divisional Railway manager (DRM) has reached the spot to oversee the rescue and relief operations.

• Railways wants to normalise rail traffic as the route is a double line, .

• Railways issues helpline for victims and families of the train derailment: 0121-6401215

• Railways minister Suresh Prabhu tweets: “Personally monitoring situation.Directed senior officers to rush to the spot.Ensure speedy relief and rescue operations,” adding that an enquiry has been ordered into the incident and strict action will be taken against defaulters, if any.

This is the latest in a string of similar accidents the public transporter has suffered in recent months, underlining the challenge the government faces in turning around the colonial-era rail network that carries more than 23 million passengers daily.

Last November, 142 people were killed and more than 200 injured when 14 coaches of the Indore-Patna Express train derailed in Kanpur Dehat district of Uttar Pradesh.

Then in January, 32 died and over 50 injured when the Bhubaneswar Express derailed in Vizianagaram. In March, 50 people were injured when eight coaches of the Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express (12189) derailed in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district.

Most of these accidents are attributed to human error or poor infrastructure coupled with inadequate maintenance

Due to TRD Construction work in connection with Doubling work Between Meerut City-Daurala Station o­n the Ghaziabad-Meerut City-Saharanpur rail section  over Delhi Division o­n Northern Railway from 04/05.11.2016 to  26/27.11.2016 ( from 11.00 p.m. to 01.15 a.m. & from 01.20 p.m. to 02.50 p.m. ) the following trains will be regulated  to run o­n the section during block as under:

  • Train no 04401 Anand Vihar Terminal-Udhampur Special Train will be regulated for 70 minutes enroute (between Ghaziabad-Meerut City) .

Regulation of Trains from  5.11.2016 to 27.11.2016
  • ·Train no 64561 Delhi Jn. -Ambala MEMU Train will be regulated for 75 minutes enroute (at Meerut City) .
  • ·Train no 54472 Rishikesh- Delhi Jn. PassengerTrain will be regulated for 20 minutes enroute (at Sakhoti Tanda) .

Diversion/Regulation/Rescheduling Of Trains From 07.09.2016 to 14.09.2016 Due To 05 Traffic Blocks On Meerut City-Saharanpur Section

Due to 05 Traffic Blocks for Track Renewal between Tapri-Nagal & Bamanheri-Muzaffarnagar stations in Meerut City-Saharanpur Section o­n Delhi Division of Northern Railway from 07.09.2016 to 14.09.2016, the following trains will remain diverted/regulated/rescheduled to run o­n the section during block as under:
Diversion Of Trains
·The 18238 Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express train (journey commencing on 07.9.2016 , 08.09.2016 , 10.09.2016 , 11.09.2016 and  14.9.2016) will be diverted to run via Saharanpur-Shamli- Tilak Bridge-Hazrat Nizamuddin.
·The 12205 New Delhi-Dehradun AC Express train (journey commencing on 07.9.2016 ,  08.09.2016, 11.09.2016  and  14.9.2016) will be diverted to run via New Delhi-Shamli- Tapri.
Regulation Of Trains
·The 12206 Dehradun -New Delhi AC Express train (journey commencing on 07.09.2016 ) will be regulated for 60 minutes at Tapri  & for 15 minutes on 08.09.2016 , 10.09.2016 & 11.09.2016  at Talheri Buzurg.
·The 14156 Udhampur-Kanpur Central Express train will be regulated for 35 minutes at Ambala o­n 07.9.2016 .
·The 14155 Kanpur Central-Udhampur Express Train  journey commencing on 10.09.2016 will be regulated for 30 minutes on  at Jagadhri Workshop.
Rescheduling Of Train
The 04401 Anand Vihar T.- Udhampur Special train (journey commencing from 08.9.2016 & 10.9.2016) will be reschedule for 00.30 midnight from Anand Vihar T. instead of 12.15 p.m.

Integrated online ticket system to start soon by IRCTC &UPSRTC

AGRA: In a first of its kind initiative, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) have come together to introduce integrated online ticket system. 

The initiative is a bid to reach destinations inaccessible by railways and also facilitate passengers who prefer to travel by road. 

Speaking to TOI, Vineet Seth, general manager, UPSRTC said, "This idea is a game-changer and it will not only promote tourism in the state but also give an exquisite experience of traveling with the UP roadways." 

Explaining how the process, Seth said, "One will be able to book UPSRTC bus along with train tickets from the IRCTC portal. The bookings will also include porter charges. Once the tickets are booked, the passenger list will be available with the UP roadways. If a passenger from Kashmir, to give an example, wants to visit UP, he or she can alight at Delhi and take the luxury bus from the station itself." 

"After alighting at the railway station, an IRCTC porter will take care of passengers' luggage till the time the bus arrives. Conductor of the bus will then cross check names of passengers and allot seats," he added. 

The service, expected to start from the next week, will be available for major tourist destinations including Agra, Meerut and the National Capital Region for the first three months.
