The following unreserved special train will be run to clear the extra rush of traffic.
Unreserved special train from Ernakulam Jn. to Agra Cantonment
Train No.06040 Ernakulam Jn. – Agra Cantonment unreserved special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 19.00 hrs. on 11.03.2018 and reach Agra Cantonment at 15.00 hrs. on 13.03.2018.
Composition: General Second Class – 19 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, ongole, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi and Gwalior.

CHENNAI: The first Antyodaya rake is to be operated as a bi-weekly daytime special train between Tambaram and Sengottai from Monday. The rake comprising 16 unreserved Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches will start running from Tambaram.
Compared to the conventional coaches, the interiors and exteriors of LHB coaches have been wrapped with vinyl sheets to ensure that train sports a new look. Every coach reportedly has a drinking water vending machine to ensure comfort of passengers. Besides, a fire extinguisher has also been mounted.
The Antyodaya coaches have a vestibule to enable passengers to move from one coach to the last coach of the train, a senior railway official said. Proposed in the 2016 Union Budget, the Antyodaya coaches are ideal for night travel trains, with the added facilities.
To cater to more unreserved passengers in highly congested routes, the Railways announced that two Antyodaya Express trains would be introduced from Tambaram to Tirunelveli and Sengottai.
To begin the daily service, railways required two rakes of Antyodaya coaches. The second rake of 20 coaches had been handed over to Southern Railway only a week ago.
“After completing the mandatory safety procedures, the second rake would be put to use and accordingly the bi-weekly special train will be converted as regular Antyodaya Express,” he said.
According to a press note, Tambaram-Sengottai unreserved special train will leave Tambaram at 7 am on March 5, 7, 12 and 14 and reach Sengottai at 10.30 pm the same day.
Similarly, in the return direction, Sengottai-Tambaram unreserved special train will leave Sengottai at 6 am on March 6, 8, 13 and 15 and reach Tambaram at 10.30 pm the same day.
The trains will stop at Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Chidambaram, Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Tiruchy, Pudukkottai, Karaikudi, Manamadurai, Aruppukkottai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Rajapalayam, Sankarankovil and Tenkasi.

Increasing Unreserved Passenger Coaches In Railways
To cater to the needs of passengers of un-reserved segment following endeavours have been made by the Indian Railways:-
(i) As a matter of policy, it has been decided that all the Mail/Express trains (except fully reserved trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, etc.) introduced after 2007-08, shall have at least 6 general class coaches in their standard composition as per feasibility.
(ii) Operation of fully unreserved services like Jan Sadharan, Janseva, Jan Nayak Express etc. to facilitate un-reserved segment of passenger. In the Railway Budget 2016-17, it has been further announced to introduce Antyodaya Express, which are long-distance, fully unreserved, superfast train services. Accordingly, of the 11 pairs of Antyodaya trains decided to be introduced during the year 2016-17 and 2017-18, four (4) pairs of Antyodaya Express have already been introduced till date.
(iii) In pursuance of the announcements made in the Railway Budget 2016-17, regarding attachment of two to four Deen Dayalu coaches in some long distance trains for unreserved travel to enhance our carrying capacity for the masses, Indian Railways have inducted 321 Deen Dayalu coaches (General Class coaches) in 53 pairs of trains during the year 2016-17. Similarly, during the year 2017-18, 76 Deen Dayalu coaches are being utilized.
In addition to the above, during 2017-18 (till November, 2017) Indian Railways have also utilized about 137 General Class coaches for permanent augmentation of the loads of existing trains (which includes both Passenger and Express train services).
The passenger coaches plying over Indian Railways (IR) have been designed with the necessary safety features considering the operating conditions over IR. Linke Hoffman Busch (LHB) design coaches are of a superior design than Integral Coach Factory (ICF) type coaches and have better safety features like anti-climbing etc. It has been decided that only LHB coaches would be manufactured from April, 2018 onwards.

AS PER THE DIRECTIVES OF HON’BLE RAILWAY MINISTER, SHRI SURESH PRABHU, RAILWAYS WILL RUN 12 FULLY UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS on THE OCCASION OF ASHADI EKADASHI BETWEEN ADILABAD / NAGARSOL / AKOLA / BIDAR / KHANAPUR AND PANDHARPUR.
This is in addition to 82 Ashadi specials already run by Central Railway.
Central Railway will run 12 Unreserved special trains between Adilabad / Nagarsol / Akola / Bidar / Khanapur and Pandharpur to clear the extra rush of pilgrims attending Ashadi fair being held at Pandharpur. The details are as under:-
(A) Adilabad-Pandharpur Specials (2 Trips)
07501 Dn Special will leave Adilabad at 9.00 hrs on 3.7.2017 and will arrive Pandharpur at 01.15 hrs next day.
07502 Up Special will leave Pandharpur at 07.00 hrs on 5.7.2017 and will reach Adilabad at 20.35 hrs same day.
Halts: Kinwat, Bodhadi Bujurg, Dhanora, Sahasrakund, Himayatnagar, Hadgaon Road, Bhokar, Mudkhed, Hazur Sahib Nanded, Purna Jn, Parbhani Jn, Gangakher, Parli Vaijnath, Latur Road, Latur, Usmanabad and Kurduwadi.
Composition: 10 General Second Class
(B) Bidar- Latur Road Specials (2 Trips)
07517 Dn Special will leave Bidar at 15.45 hrs on 3.7.2017 and will arrive Latur Road at 18.30 hrs same day.

REVISION IN THE DATES OF CHANGE IN COMPOSITION OF TRAINS
The composition of Train No.16127 / 16128 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore express trains are to be revised.
Two second class chair car coaches (reserved) will be removed and, in their place, two general second class coaches will be added.
It was announced earlier that this change will come into effect ex. Chennai Egmore on 06.02.2017 and ex. Guruvayur on 07.02.2017.
The dates of this change coming into effect have been revised.
Accordingly, this change will come into effect ex. Chennai Egmore on 27.02.2017 and ex. Guruvayur on 28.02.2017.

EASTERN.RAILWAY PROVIDES MORE ACCOMMODATION TO SECOND CLASS SITTING PASSENGERS
Kolkata, 29 July, 2015:-
To provide more accommodation to the second class sitting passengers, Eastern Railway has arranged to convert Sleeper Class coaches of some trains to second class unreserved & reserved coaches during day journey.
As such, out of two Sleeper Class coaches of 53175 Sealdah-Lalgola Passenger, one is being converted to unreserved second class and one to reserved second class coach.
In 53178 Lalgola-Sealdah Passenger, out of three Sleeper Class coaches, two are converted as unreserved second class and one to reserved second class coach.
Reservation charges is Rs. 15/- only for the reserved coaches.
Besides, three Sleeper Class coaches of 13063 Howrah-Balurghat Exp., two Sleeper Class coaches of 13418 Malda Town-Digha Exp. & both the Sleeper Class coaches of 13241 Banka-Rajendranagar Exp. will be treated as second class reserved coaches from the first week of September, 2015.
