 SPECIAL TRAIN TO RUN BETWEEN SEALDAH & ALIPURDUAR JN.

Kolkata, February 08, 2021:

To clear the extra rush of the passengers, Eastern Railway will run special train between Sealdah & Alipurduar Jn.

  • 05481 Alipurduar Jn.- Sealdah  Special will   leave Alipurduar Jn at 12:15 hrs. o­n 09.02.2021 & 10.02.2021 ( 02 trips ) to reach Sealdah at 07:15 hrs. o­n the next day.
  • 05482 Sealdah - Alipurduar Jn. Special will   leave Sealdah at 07:30 hrs. o­n 12.02.2021 & 13.02.2021 (02 trips) to reach Alipurduar Jn. at 01:00 hrs.( midnight) o­n the next day.

The date of booking of tickets for the above special Trains will be notified shortly.

ER TO RUN TWO PAIRS OF PASSENGER TRAINS IN SEALDAH – LALGOLA SECTION

Kolkata, December 29, 2020

For the convenience of the Passengers, ER will restore the services of Sealdah-Lalgola-Sealdah (53181/53178 & 53175/53172) w.e.f. today (29.12.2020).

  • 53181 Sealdah –LalgolaPassenger will leave Sealdah at 23:30 hrs w.e.f. 29.12.2020 to reach Lalgola at 05:00 hrs o­n the next day and 
  • 53178 Lalgola-Sealdah Passenger will leave Lalgola at 09:10 hrs w.e.f 30.12.2020 to reach Sealdah at 15:10 hrs o­n the same day.
  • 53175 Sealdah-Lalgola Passenger will leave Sealdah at 12:40 hrs w.e.f. 31.12.2020 to reach Lalgola at 18:25 hrs o­n the same day and 
  • 53172 Lalgola – Sealdah Passenger will leave Lalgola at 22:05 hrs w.e.f. 31.12.2020 to reach Sealdah at 04:30 hrs o­n the next day.

Timings and stoppages of these trains will be as per schedule which were followed prior to 23.03.2020.

 For the convenience of the passengers during this festive season, Eastern Railway (ER) is going to run fully reserved Festival Special trains between Sealdah & Silchar, Sealdah & Agartala and Kolkata & Gorakhpur, informed the ER authority.

          The 03175 Sealdah – Silchar Festival Special will leave Sealdah at 6.35 am on every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday between October 24, 2020 & November 30, 2020 (17 trips) to reach Silchar at 4.15 pm on the next day and the 03176 Silchar – Sealdah Festival Special will leave Silchar at 10.45 am on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday between October 26, 2020 & December 2, 2020 (17 trips) to reach Sealdah at 7.25 pm on the next day.

          The 03173 Sealdah – Agartala Festival Special will leave Sealdah at 6.35 am on every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday between October 25, 2020 & November 29, 2020 (21 trips) to reach Agartala at 8.45 pm on the next day and the 03174 Agartala – Sealdah Festival Special will leave Agartala at 5.55 am on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday between October 27, 2020 & December 1, 2020 (21 trips) to reach Sealdah at 7.25 pm on the next day.

          The 05048 Gorakhpur – Kolkata Festival Special will leave Gorakhpur at 11.30 am on every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Friday between October 20, 2020 & November 30, 2020 (24 trips) to reach Kolkata at 4.45 am on the next day and the 05047 Kolkata – Gorakhpur Festival Special will leave Kolkata at 2.30 pm on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday between October 22, 2020 & December 1, 2020 (24 trips) to reach Gorakhpur at 7.45 am on the next day.

          The 05050 Gorakhpur – Kolkata Festival Special will leave Gorakhpur at 8.00 am on every Wednesday & Saturday between October 21, 2020 & November 28, 2020 (12 trips) to reach Kolkata at 4.45 am on the next day and the 05049 Kolkata – Gorakhpur Festival Special will leave Kolkata at 2.30 pm on every Sunday & Wednesday between October 21, 2020 & November 29, 2020 (12 trips) to reach Gorakhpur at 9.45 am on the next day.

The 05052 Gorakhpur – Kolkata Festival Special will leave Gorakhpur at 10.10 am on every Thursday between October 22, 2020 & November 26, 2020 (six trips) to reach Kolkata at 4.45 am on the next day and the 05051 Kolkata – Gorakhpur Festival Special will leave Kolkata at 2.30 pm on every Friday between October 23, 2020 & November 27, 2020 (six trips) to reach Gorakhpur at 8.15 am on the next day.

The fare applicable for these festival special services shall be that of applicable for special trains.

02343 Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Sealdah at 22:05 hrs. daily w.e.f. 20.10.2020 till 30.11.2020 to reach New Jalpaiguri at 08:15 hrs. on the next day and 02344 New Jalpaiguri-Sealdah Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave New Jalpaiguri at 20:00 hrs. daily w.e.f. 21.10.2020 till 01.12.2020 to reach Sealdah at 06:00 hrs. on the next day.

03019 Howrah-Kathgodam Festival Special (via Bandel) will leave Howrah at 21:45 hrs. daily w.e.f. 20.10.2020 till 30.11.2020 to reach Kathgodam at 09:30 hrs. on the 3rd day and 03020 Kathgodam-Howrah Festival Special (via Bandel) will leave Kathgodam at 21:45 hrs. daily w.e.f. 22.10.2020 till 02.12.2020 to reach Howrah at 12:40 hrs. on the 3rd day.

02331 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Howrah at 23:55 hrs. on every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday between 20.10.2020 & 28.11.2020 (18 trips) to reach Jammu Tawi at 13:10 hrs. on the 3rd day and 02332 Jammu Tawi-Howrah Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Jammu Tawi at 22:45 hrs. on every Thursday, Sunday and Monday between 22.10.2020 & 30.11.2020 (18 trips) to reach Howrah at 11:30 hrs. on the 3rd day.

Booking for the above Special Trains in UP directions i.e., for train no. 03019, 03141, 03185, 02331, 03021 and 02343 will be available on and from 16.10.2020 at 08:00 hrs.

These trains will be fully reserved trains. General Second-Class coaches (LS/GS/SLR/SLRD) available in the train composition will also run as reserved class (2S).

In addition to fare, ‘SPECIAL’ charges will be applicable for these trains.

02352 Rajendranagar -Howrah Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Rajendranagar at 21:00 hrs. daily w.e.f. 20.10.2020 till 30.11.2020 to reach Howrah at 06:40 hrs. on the next day and 02351 Howrah- Rajendranagar Superfast Festival Special (via Dankuni) will leave Howrah at 20:35 hrs. daily w.e.f. 21.10.2020 till 01.12.2020 to reach Rajendranagar at 06:15 hrs. on the next day.

02518 Guwahati-Kolkata (Bi-Weekly) Festival Special will leave Guwahati at 21:00 hrs. on every Wednesday and Saturday between 21.10.2020 & 28.11.2020 (12 trips) to reach Kolkata station at 15:00 hrs. on the next day and 02517 Kolkata- Guwahati (Bi-Weekly) Festival Special will leave Kolkata station at 21:40 hrs. on every Thursday and Sunday between 22.10.2020 & 29.11.2020 (12 trips) to reach Guwahati at 15:55 hrs. on the next day.

02514 Guwahati- Secunderabad Weekly Festival Special will leave Guwahati at 06:20 hrs. on every Thursday between 22.10.2020 & 26.11.2020 (5 trips) to reach Secunderabad at 04:00 hrs. on the 3rd day and 02513 Secunderabad-Guwahati will leave Secunderabad on every Sunday at 07:20 hrs. between 25.10.2020 & 29.11.2020 (5 trips) to reach Guwahati at 06:00 hrs. on the 3rd day. The train will stop at Malda Town, New Farakka, Rampurhat, Bolepur (Shantiniketan) and Howrah over ER’s jurisdiction in both directions en-route.

For the convenience of the passengers, the railways, more aptly, the Eastern Railways (ER) has decided to run 02305/02306 Howrah-New Delhi-Howrah Weekly Rajdhani Special (via Patna) on its nominated days of run from Howrah from December 20, 2020 till further advice and from New Delhi from December 25, 2020 till further advice.

The 02305 Howrah – New Delhi Rajdhani Weekly Special (via Patna) will leave Howrah at 2.05 pm on every Sunday from December 20, 2020 to reach New Delhi at 10.00 am on the next day and the 02306 New Delhi – Howrah Rajdhani Weekly special (via Patna) will leave New Delhi at 4.55 pm on every Friday from December 25, 2020 to reach Howrah at 12.15 pm on the next day.

Due to the introduction of the 02305/02306 Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Rajdhani Special (via Patna), 02301 Howrah – New Delhi Superfast AC Special (via Dhanbad) originating from Howrah on every Sunday between December 20, 2020 & February 7, 2021 and the 02302 New Delhi – Howrah Superfast AC Special (via Dhanbad) originating from New Delhi on every Friday between December 25, 2020 & February 12, 2021 will remain cancelled, informed the railway authority.

The train will stop at Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Gaya, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Jn. & Kanpur Central enroute.
  • 03071 Howrah – Jamalpur Special (via Dankuni) will leave Howrah at 21.35 hrs. daily w.e.f. 12.10.2020 to reach Jamalpur at 7.25 hrs. on the next day. 03072 Jamalpur – Howrah Special (via Dankuni) will leave Jamalpur at 19.30 hrs. daily w.e.f. 13.10.2020 to reach Howrah at 5.45 hrs. on the next day.

02301 Howrah – New Delhi AC Special will arrive Asansol at 19.00 hrs. instead of 19.11 hrs. and Dhanbad at 20.00 hrs. instead of 20.10 hrs. w.e.f. 12.10.2020.

Kolkata, 27 December, 2019:-
        To clear the rush of pilgrims o­n the occasion of KALPATARU UTSAB at Dakshineswar o­n 01.01.2020, Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway will run two pairs of special trains in Sealdah-Dankuni section.
        The Up EMU Specials will leave Sealdah at 05.25 hrs & 14.30 hrs and the Down Specials will leave Dankuni at 06.20 hrs & 15.20 hrs respectively. The special trains will stop at all stations enroute.

To facilitate the passengers for advance booking of reserved accommodation during ensuing Puja Days, sixteen (16) PRS locations in Sealdah division will be kept open in the morning shift o­n three (03) consecutive Sundays i.e., o­n 09.06.2019, 16.06.2019 & 23.06.2019 and all Satellite Reservation Offices (SROs) in Howrah division will be kept open in morning shift o­n four (04) consecutive Sundays i.e., o­n 09.06.2019, 16.06.2019, 23.06.2019 and 30.06.2019. REGULATION OF TRAIN RUNNING IN SEALDAH – RANAGHAT SECTION

·Train movements will be controlled for commissioning of Automatic Signalling System between Barrackpore & Ichhapur

·Automatic Signalling System will increase the sectional capacity.

In connection with commissioning of Automatic Signalling system between Barrackpore and Ichhapur, non-interlocking work will be necessary from 07.09.2018.
Consequently, the following local trains will remain cancelled from 10.00 hrs. of 07.09.2018 to 10.00 hrs. of 10.09.2018 to avoid bunching of trains between Barrackpore and Ichhapur in Sealdah-Ranaghat section :—

To facilitate the pilgrims of Matua Maha Mela near Thakurnagar station, Eastern Railway will run o­ne pair of EMU local between Barasat & Bangaon stations for three days from 14 to 16.3.2018 leaving Barasat at 11.45 hrs to reach Bangaon at 12.52 hrs and leaving Bangaon at 13.15 hrs to reach Barasat at 14.22 hrs.

Moreover, additional stoppage of 33895/33896 Sealdah-Thakurnagar-Sealdah local will be provided temporarily at Bidhannagar Road, Durganagar, Bisharpara Kodalia, New Barrackpore and Hridaypur stations for seven days from 14 to 20.3.2018.

ER TO RUN MORE SUMMER SPECIALS A TOTAL OF 204 SUMMER SPECIALS BY ER
Kolkata, February 22, 2018:
To clear the rush of passengers in the forthcoming Summer season, Eastern Railway will run 52 nos. of more Summer special trains in two routes viz., Sealdah –Ananda Vihar  and Bhagalpur – Muzaffarpur.
26 weekly Summer specials will be run between Sealdah & Ananda Vihar (via Dankuni)  leaving Sealdah o­n every Saturday between April 7 & June 30, 2018 and Ananda Vihar o­n every Sunday between April 8 & July 01, 2018. The up train 02265 will leave Sealdah at 12.55 hrs and reach Ananda Vihar at 13.45 hrs the next day. The down train 02266 will leave Ananda Vihar at 18.45 hrs and reach Sealdah at 19.40 hrs the next day.
        26 weekly Summer specials will be run between Bhagalpur & Muzaffarpur leaving Bhagalpur o­n every Monday between April 2 & June 25, 2018 and Muzaffarpur o­n every Tuesday between April 3 & June 26, 2018. The up train 03453 will leave Bhagalpur at 21.00 hrs and reach Muzaffarpur at 04.00 hrs the next day. The down train 03454 will leave Muzaffarpur at 07.25 hrs and reach Bhagalpur at 13.45 hrs the same day.
It may be mentioned that, besides these, Eastern Railway will run 152 Summer special trains during the ensuing Summer season o­n various routes viz., Kolkata - New Jalpaiguri, Kolkata – Lucknow, Kolkata- Chhapra- Asansol, Howrah-Raxaul- Asansol, Asansol-Patna and Malda- Haridwar .

Augmentation Of Suburban Trains in Sealdah Division

For convenience of the suburban commuters, Sealdah Division has augmented 28 suburban services from 10-car to 12-car in Sealdah South section and 4 suburban services from 9-car to 12-car in Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City Jn. & Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./ Hasnabad section during 2017-18 despite acute platform congestion at Sealdah Main & North stations.
Besides, 4 new suburban services have been introduced in Sealdah/Sonarpur – Diamond Harbour section and 2 new suburban services in Barasat Jn. – Hasnabad section with the new timetable – 2017 w.e.f. 1.11.2017.
 Moreover, 5 suburban services have also been augmented from 9-car to 12-car in Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City & Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./Hasnabad section w.e.f. 11.11.2017.
Further, 3 down trains have been augmented from 9-car to 12-car services during morning peak period and 4 Up trains have been augmented from 9-car to 12-car services during evening peak period to facilitate the daily passengers of Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City and Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./Hasnabad sections.

To cater to the expected rush of passengers during ensuing Puja holidays, Eastern Railway will run EMU special trains in Howrah and Sealdah divisions:

Howrah Division:
·8(eight) EMU special trains will be run o­n every night of Saptami/Astami (27/28.9.2017), Astami/ Navami (28/29.9.2017) and Navami/Dashami (28/29.9.2017) between Howrah & Barddhaman (via Main line & Chord line), Howrah & Bandel and Tarakeswar & Sheoraphuli with stoppages at all stations en-route. Howrah- Barddhaman MEMU local via Main line (63501) will stop at all stations between Howrah & Bandel o­n those days.
·On the holidays of Durga Puja (27.9.2017 to 30.9.2017), Laxmi Puja (5.10.2017) and Kali Puja (19.10.2017), all the EMU locals of Howrah Division will run as Sunday running upto 15.00 hrs. except Bandel- Howrah local (37220). After 15.00 hrs. EMU locals will run like regular week days train.
Sealdah Division:
·20(twenty) EMU special trains will be run o­n every night of Panchami/Shasti( 25/26.9.2017), Shasti/Saptami (26/27.9.2017), Saptami/ Astami(27/28.9.2017) & Astami/Navami (28/29.9.2017) and Navami/ Dashami(29/30.9.2017) between Sealdah & Ranaghat, Sealdah & Bangaon , Sealdah & Dankuni, Ranaghat & Bangaon, Sealdah & Baruipur, Sealdah & Budge Budge and Sealdah & Naihati.
·On the holidays of Durga Puja (27.9.2017 to 30.9.2017) and Laxmi Puja (5.10.2017), all the EMU locals of Sealdah Division will run as Sunday running upto 14.00 hrs. After 14.00 hrs., all EMU locals will continue its services with stoppages at all stations en-route for those days. Four (4) Ranagaht-Naihati locals (31712/31711 & 31714/31713) and ten (10) Matribhoomi locals will remain cancelled during the period.

To cater to the rush of the passengers, Eastern Railway will run o­ne superfast special train from Sealdah to Puri and back leaving Sealdah o­n 11.8.2017 and leaving Puri o­n 12.8.2017.
  • 03101 Sealdah – Puri special leaving Sealdah at 23.50 hrs will reach Puri at 8.35 hrs o­n the next day. In return journey, 
  • 03102 Puri – Sealdah special leaving Puri at 14.00 hrs o­n 12.8.2017 will arrive at Sealdah station at 23.30 hrs o­n the same day.

This train will stop at Bhattanagar, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar & Khurda Road stations enroute and will have AC 2-tier & AC 3-tier accommodation.

Railways have decided to run 22 AC Superfast weekly special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Sealdah to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer 2017. The details are as under:

  • 02256 special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.20 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 18.4.2017 to 27.6.2017 (11 trips) and arrive Sealdah at 20.40 hrs next day.
  • 02255 special train will leave Sealdah at 17.30 hrs o­n every Sunday from 16.4.2017 to 25.6.2017 (11 trips) and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.45 hrs next day.
Halts: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Nagpur, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur.

Composition: 4 AC-2 Tier, 9 AC-3 Tier.

Reservation: Bookings for 02256 o­n special charges leaving o­n 18.4.2017 will open from 17.2.2017 and for the subsequent trips will open with Advance Reservation Period of 60 days.

As a part of the o­ngoing round the year cleanliness drive aiming at a cleaner and greener environment, Eastern Railway has adopted a series of measures including o­n-board housekeeping services (OBHS), solar lights at level crossing gates, bio-toilets in different trains and mechanized laundries.

At present, 74 trains (Howrah – 26, Sealdah – 36, Asansol – 3 and Malda – 9) are covered under OBHS for cleanliness of trains. During 2016-17, 11 more trains are likely to be covered under OBHS.

At present, 251 level crossing gates (Asansol-65, Howrah-52, Malda-74 and Sealdah-60) have been electrified with 74WP solar module (SPV). More level crossing gates will also be electrified with solar lighting system in near future.

Presently, 562 coaches (in 14 rakes of 9 trains) have been covered with bio-toilets. Total 2015 bio-toilets were retrofitted.

Apart from these, 3 mechanized laundries o­ne each Sealdah, Howrah and Malda are operating under the jurisdiction of this Railway and the combined capacity of these laundries are 10 tonnes per day.

Eastern Railway is committed to provide passengers/rail users a cleaner and hygienic environment in trains, platforms, Railway premises and different offices and all out effort will be on towards this direction.

EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN SPECIAL TRAINS FOR GANGASAGAR MELA

Kolkata, 27 December, 2016.

For the convenience of the pilgrims of Gangasagar Mela, Eastern Railway will run a total of seven galloping EMU special trains of which two up and three down specials will run between Sealdah/Kolkata & Namkhana, o­ne up special between Namkhana & Lakshmikantapur and o­ne up special between Lakshmikantapur & Sealdah stations for five days o­n and from 12 to 16 January, 2017.

The down galloping special will leave Sealdah at 6.15 hrs, 14.40hrs and Kolkata at 21.30 hrs to reach Namkhana at 8.45hrs, 17.33 hrs and 1.05 hrs respectively. The Up galloping special will leave Namkhana at 9.10 hrs and 18.35 hrs to reach Sealdah at 11.35 hrs and 21.25 hrs respectively, Lakshmikantapur at 23.15 hrs to reach Sealdah at 00.48 hrs and Namkhana at 2.05 hrs to reach Lakshmikantapur at 2.58 hrs.

In addition to these, this railway will run all Sunday exempted services of Lakshmikantapur –Namkhana section o­n 15.1.2017(Sunday), 34981 Kakdwip-Lakshmikantapur local of 14 & 15.01.2017 will be extended to Sealdah, 34923/30711 Namkhana-Majerhat local via Ballygunge will be extended to Sealdah o­n 15.01.2017, 30414 Sealdah-B.B.D Bag local will be extended to Kolkata o­n 12, 13 & 14.1.2017.

30413 B.B.D Bag-Sealdah local will remain cancelled o­n 12, 13 & 14.1.2017.

In connection with the doubling work between Labutala & Champapukur stations o­n Barasat-Hasnabad section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division, Non-Interlocking programme will continue between those two stations for 10 days (3 days Pre-NI & 7 days NI Work) from 29.11.2016.
Consequently, some EMU locals of the section will remain cancelled / short terminated /diverted/ controlled enroute during the period of NI Work.
