Augmentation Of Suburban Trains in Sealdah Division

For convenience of the suburban commuters, Sealdah Division has augmented 28 suburban services from 10-car to 12-car in Sealdah South section and 4 suburban services from 9-car to 12-car in Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City Jn. & Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./ Hasnabad section during 2017-18 despite acute platform congestion at Sealdah Main & North stations.

Besides, 4 new suburban services have been introduced in Sealdah/Sonarpur – Diamond Harbour section and 2 new suburban services in Barasat Jn. – Hasnabad section with the new timetable – 2017 w.e.f. 1.11.2017.

 Moreover, 5 suburban services have also been augmented from 9-car to 12-car in Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City & Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./Hasnabad section w.e.f. 11.11.2017.

Further, 3 down trains have been augmented from 9-car to 12-car services during morning peak period and 4 Up trains have been augmented from 9-car to 12-car services during evening peak period to facilitate the daily passengers of Sealdah – Shantipur/Krishnanagar City and Sealdah – Bongaon Jn./Hasnabad sections.
