01027/01028  Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai–Varanasi – Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai Weekly Summer  Special Train ( 10  trips)
   01027 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai – Varanasi weekly summer special train will depart from  Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai  at 06.45 a.m. o­n every Tuesday from 24.04.2018  to 22.05.2018  to reach Varanasi at 12.00  noon  the next day (05 trips).  In the return direction, the 01028  Varanasi – Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai weekly summer special train will depart from  Varanasi at 01.55 p.m. o­n every Wednesday from 25.04.2018 to 23.05.2018 to reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at  04.15 p.m. the next day (05 trips).

STATE-run Maharatna PSU BHEL (Bharat Heavy Industries Limited) and Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) are likely to form a joint venture to make locomotives and steel coaches for metro trains in India. A media report says talks are on in this regard. If the two firms join hands, BHEL's Bhopal unit will be able...
to raise its turnover by Rs 1,500 crore to Rs 2,000 crore, the media report quoted a BHEL source as saying.
 "Talks with Japanese firm Kawasaki are going on and are at an advanced stage. Bhel's Bhopal unit specialises in making motors and related systems such as control panels, alternators and propulsion systems. The unit will be given priority for making steel coaches," the source said.
Many states are developing metro rails and two lines of 32 km each have also been proposed in Bhopal and Indore. "As of now, the company supplies motors and other related systems to Indian Railways," the source said.
The Bhopal unit, which is also the mother unit of the Maharatna PSU, has delivered a profit during a difficult FY16.
The JV will be concretised by financial year 2019-20. The company is expected to make 1,500 coaches over a period of 15 years, or 100 coaches per year.
"Though other units like Jhansi and Hardwar may also manufacture and supply such systems for metro, the Bhopal has a geographical edge due to its central location. Besides it has an adequate trained workforce, material handling facility and shopfloor. The unit can prune certain existing products and can replace them with the steel coaches," the source further said.
BHEL has supplied motors and other parts to the integral railway coach factory for the Kolkata metro, Diesel Locomotive Works, and Chittranjan Locomotives Works, Varanasi of the Indian railways. It also supplies to various zones of Indian Railways.
Profits of BHEL plunged by 82 per cent during Q1 2015-16 over the past year, owning mostly to their decrease in sales to the power sector. Today, with 20,000 MW per annum capacity for power plant equipment manufacturing, BHEL's mammoth size of operations is evident from its widespread network of 17 manufacturing units, two repair units, four regional offices, eight service centres, eight overseas offices, six JVs, 15 regional marketing centres and current project execution at more than 150 project sites across India and abroad. BHEL, which is under the administrative control of Ministry of Heavy Industries,  also has a widespread overseas footprint in 76 countries with cumulative overseas installed capacity of BHEL manufactured power plants nearing 10,000 MW including Malaysia, Oman, Libya, Iraq, the UAE, Bhutan, Egypt and New Zealand.

Bhopal Coach Rehabilitation Workshop releases ‘Aircraft-Like’ Coaches for Indian Railways

Bhopal: With plush interiors, ‘bio-toilets’, illuminated signs and even stairs to climb to upper berths, 20 state-of-the-art rail coaches unlike any other will soon be part of the Indian Railways network.

Designed by the Indian Railways Coach Rehabilitation Workshop in Bhopal, the modern coaches are made to make train journeys comfortable and safe for passengers.


The coaches will be first introduced on ISO certified trains and Rajdhani Expresses

Gone are the blue and brown seats, these revamped coaches feature berths in a striking purple shade. More spacious than older ones, these ‘jerk-proof’ seats promise a far more comfortable journey. Ample use of chrome and matte surfaces lend the coaches a space-age look.

“We have spent around Rs. 14 lakhs on each coach. The interiors are not unlike that of an aircraft with modern seats and other facilities. We will be revamping three more trains. As far as inducting them is concerned, that will happen only after railway ministry clears them,” Ramesh Chandra, General Manager of West Central Railways, told.

The coaches have a number of other facilities including fire-proof seats, carpet-like floors, LED reading lights, mobile charging points and an eco-friendly ‘bio-toilet’ system.

Brajesh Pandey, a chartered accountant and a frequent traveller, said, “Over the years railways has been hiking fares but in terms of facilities it has not been able to deliver. It’s good to learn about the modern coaches. I am proud that they are not only made in India but made in Madhya Pradesh.”

As per plans, 111 coaches are to be manufactured by the workshop in Bhopal. The test run of the ready 20 coaches has been successful and after minor tweaks these coaches will sent to Delhi for approval by the Railway Ministry.

The 01683 Bhopal- Lucknow Jn. Weekly Tatkal Special train will depart fromBhopal o­n every Thursday from 05.11.2015 to 19.11.2015 (3 trips) at 10.00 a.m. to reach Lucknow Jn. at 08.35 p.m. the same day. In the return direction, the 01684 Lucknow Jn.- Bhopal Weekly Tatkal Special train will depart from Lucknow Jn. on every Friday from 06.11.2015 to 20.11.2015 (3 trips) at 00.10 midnight to reach Bhopal at 11.35 a.m. thesame day .

In the return direction, the 02792 & 02794 Patna- Secunderabad Special train will depart from Patna o­n 09.11.2015 to 19.11.2015 respectively (single-single trip)at 09.30 a.m. to reachSecunderabadat 07.25pa.m. thenext day .

WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN INDORE – RAJENDRA NAGAR (WEEKLY)SPECIAL TRAIN IN OCTOBER & NOVEMBER, 2015

For the convenience of passengers during the festive occasion of  Dasshera & Diwali and with a view to meet the travel demand during the season, Western Rly will run Indore- Rajendra Nagar. This train will run o­n special fare with special charges. 

·09305/09306  Indore- Rajendra Nagar weekly special train

Train No. 09305  Indore- Rajendra Nagar (weekly)  special train will leave Indore  at 14.00  hrs on every Monday and will reach Rajendra Nagar  at 17.05 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 19thOctober,2015 to  23rdNovember, 2015 with total 6 trips.

Similarly,  in return direction  Train No. 09306  Rajendra Nagar - Indore (weekly)  special train will leave at Rajendra Nagar 11.10   hrs o­n every Wednesday  and will reach Indore   at 15.20  hrs, the next day. This train will run from 21st October,2015 to  25th  November, 2015 with total 6 trips.

This train will halt at Dewas, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Bhopal, Bina, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur central, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Jaunpur city, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara, Danapur and Patna Jn,  stations in both the directions.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier , Sleeper Class and second class reserved  coaches.

Booking for train No. 09305 Indore –Rajendra Nagar will be open on  15th October, 2015.

Madhya Pradesh State Cabinet clears 4.9 hectares of land for Sidhi-Rewa rail line project

Bhopal (BPL): State cabinet chaired by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday sanctioned allotment of 4.9 hectare land for construction of Sidhi-Rewa broad gauge rail line project. Cabinet also extended special recruitment drive timeline to fill backlog posts reserved for SC, ST and OBC categories and handicapped persons quota by one year. Deadline for recruitment has been extended from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.

In another decision, cabinet sanctioned establishment of district employment offices at Ashoknagar, Anuppur and Alirajpur. For this government created of 5 posts for each office and recurring and non-recurring expenditures on furniture/office equipment for them.

Cabinet also decided that 15 BPO centres will be opened in rural areas by messrs Rural Shores, Bengaluru. Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Electronics Development Corporation has been authorized to invite tenders for this.

Government decided to upgrade 20 middle schools to high schools and sanctioned 20 posts of principals. Sanction has been granted for 120 posts of contractual school teacher grade-II, 20 posts of contractual school teacher grade-III, 20 posts of lower division clerk (computer trained) and 20 posts of peon for these schools.

Cabinet also sanctioned continuation of contractual posts of system analyst, data entry operator and IT operator for establishment of office of Commissioner Commercial Taxes under Commercial Taxes Department till March 31, 2016. State government decided to merge services of serving employees of State Oilseed Federation against various posts for establishment of office of the Commissioner Commercial Taxes under Merger Scheme of general administration department

Bhopal Railway Station under vigil of hidden Surveillance Cams

Bhopal (BPL): Now, Bhopal station is under round-the-clock vigil of railways. An integrated security system (ISS) was inaugurated by Bhopal MP Alok Sanjar on Saturday as part of ongoing railway passengers’ week.

The system has 80 CCTVs and would monitor all platforms, booking offices, reservation offices, waiting rooms, foot-over-bridge (FoB) and all major points at Bhopal station. The CCTVs have been installed with a view to improve passenger safety services and monitoring cleanliness inside the station premises.

A control room too has been established where RPF personnel and other railway staff would carry on 24X7 monitoring of the feed from cameras. Present DRM Alok Kumar and MLA Vishwas Sarang were also present at Bhopal station.

The ISS was inaugurated by previous DRM Bhopal Rajiv Chaudhary on October 28 last year. He had also said the number of cameras may be increased depending upon need and may also be repositioned after initial feedback.

Sanjar also inaugurated extended cover over shed at platform no 1 of Habibganj railway station, followed by washable apron of platforms 2 and 4. The extended shed would benefit passengers of trains like Shatabdi Express ahead of monsoons and also from scorching sun.

Addressing media at Habibganj station, Sanjar said over sheds at platforms 2/3 and 4/5 would be constructed soon. Also, he assured that demands like increasing capacity of first class waiting room, construction of new service bridge at Pul Bodge would be looked into.

Railway officials, including senior divisional commercial manager Brijendra Kumar and local MLA Surendranath Singh was also present at Habibganj station during the programme.

DRM Alok Kumar also inspected the waiting rooms, toilets, concourse areas, food stalls, foot-over-bridge (FoB), cleanliness and hygiene at platforms, enquiry counters, parking areas, dormitories, and retiring rooms at Bhopal station on Saturday.

He also spoke to passengers about quality of food at the station and inspected rate list of food items sold.

Railways, MP govt to form company to enhance services: Prabhu

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today said that Railways and MP government will join hands to form country's first company to enhance railway services in the state.

"We have entered into understandings with 20 states to start such companies. But, the first one will be start in MP," he said after laying foundation stone of the Diesel Locomotive Traction Alternator Workshop (DLTAW) here.

He said that the Habibganj railway Station in Bhopal will be developed into a model station.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, also present on the occasion, praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for making available the land for DLTAW free of cost, in her constituency Vidisha.

She said that the development of Vidisha was her top priority adding that many more development works will be carried out here.

Prabhu also laid the foundation stone of a goods godown at Sauri station, inaugurated the CCTV cameras installed at Vidisha station and two renovated platforms - one each at Vidisha and Sanchi stations here.
