EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS
Train No.22625 / 22626 Chennai Central – Bengaluru – Chennai Central Air-Conditioned Double Decker Express trains have been temporarily augmented by one Double Decker AC Chair Car ex Chennai Central from 04.05.2017 to 30.06.2017 and ex Bengaluru from 04.05.2017 to 30.06.2017.
This temporary augmentation has been extended and will continue for two more days – upto 02.07.2017.

Central Railway Press Release 

Augmentation of one AC Chair Car coach in  CSTM – Gorakhpur Superfast Holiday Special train. 

Central Railway have decided to attach o­ne AC Chair Car Coach o­n special charges in 02598 / 02597 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus – Gorakhpur Superfast Holiday Special to cater to the demand during summer vacation. 
  • 02598 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 1420 hrs o­n every Sunday upto 26.6.2016 and arrive Gorakhpur at 1845 hrs next day. 
  • 02597 Special will leave Gorakhpur at 0825 hrs o­n every Saturday upto 25.6.2016 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 12.15 hrs next day.

HALTS: Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Jhansi, Habibganj, Itarsi, Bhusaval and Kalyan     .

REVISED COMPOSITION: Two AC-2 Tier, Eight AC-3 Tier, One AC Chair Car, Four Sleeper class and Four Second class 

Reservation: Bookings for New additional o­ne AC Chair Car coach in train No. 02598 o­n special charges will open from 8.5.2016.

Southern Railway(SR) has advised this railway that they have decided to augment Train Nos. 22625/22626 CHENNAI-BENGALURU CITY-CHENNAI DOUBLE DECKER EXPRESSwith ONE additional AC Chair Cartemporarily,with effect from 14thSeptember, 2015to14th December, 2015 from both the ends.

Accordingly, the revised composition ofDouble Decker Express for the said periodhas total 13 coaches (instead of 12), consisting of Eleven AC Chair Cars &Two Luggage-cum Brake with Generator Cars.

Extension of Temporary Coaches In few Express Trains to Generate 3800 AC Chair Car Seats

With a view to clear extra rush of passengers, SCR will extend the run of temporarily Coaches attached to the following express trains as detailed below:-

1.The extra Coach of one AC Chair Car Coach, attached to Tr. No.12747 / 12748 Guntur-Vikarabad-Guntur Palnadue Express to run till 6th August, 2015, is now extended to run till 15th August, 2015, generating 1296 AC Chair Car Seats.

2.The extra Coach of  two AC Chair Car Coaches, attached to Tr. No.17618 / 17617 Nanded- CST Mumbai –Nanded Tapovan Express to run till 6th August, 2015, will continue run up to 17th August, 2015, generating 2592 AC Chair Car Seats.

These additional Coaches will generate 3888 AC Chair Car Coaches.

38,000 Berths / Seats Generated by Attaching Additional Coaches to Several Express Trains Up to 1st August, 2015

In order to clear waitlisted passengers and extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will temporarily augment the following Trains with additional AC II Tier / AC III Tier / AC Chair Car / Sleeper Class coaches as detailed below:-

A.Temporary Augmentation in view of Godavari Pushkaram

1.Train No. 17256 Hyderabad-Narsapur (Daily) Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 14thto 31st July, 2015.

2.Train No. 17255 Narsapur-Hyderabad (Daily) Express will be augmented with  one Sleeper Class Coach from 15th July to 1st August, 2015.

3.Train No. 17639 Kacheguda-Akola (Daily) Intercity Express will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 14thto 31st July, 2015.

4.Train No. 17640 Akola-Kacheguda (Daily) Intercity Express will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 15thto 1st August, 2015.

5.Train No. 12718 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam (Daily) Ratnachal Express will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 14th to 31st July, 2015.

6.Train No. 12717 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada (Daily) Ratnachal Express will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 14th to 31st July, 2015.

7.Train No. 17401 Tirupati – Machilipatnam (Daily) Narsapur Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 14th to 31st July, 2015.

8.Train No. 17402 Machilipatnam - Tirupati (Daily) Narsapur Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 15th July to 1st August, 2015.

B.Extension of Temporary Augmentation of following trains

1.Train No. 17618 Nanded-Mumbai CST Tapovan Express (Daily) will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 16th to 30th July, 2015.

2.Train No. 17617 Mumbai CST- Nanded Tapovan Express (Daily) will be augmented with one AC Chair Car Coach from 17th July to 1st August, 2015.

3.Train No. 12715 Nanded – Amritsar Sachkand Express (Daily) will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 16th to 30th July, 2015.

4.Train No. 12716 Amritsar – Nanded Sachkand Express (Daily) will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 18th July to 2nd August, 2015.

5.Train No.17256 Hyderabad-Narsapur (Daily) Express will be augmented with one AC III Tier Coach from 11th to 31st July, 2015.

6.Train No. 17255 Narsapur-Hyderabad (Daily) Express will be augmented with  one AC III Tier Coach from 12th July to 1st August, 2015.

7.Train No. 17230 Hyderabad – Trivandrum (Daily) Sabari Express will be augmented with one AC III Tier Coach from 13th July to 2nd August, 2015.

8.Train No. 17229 Trivandrum- Hyderabad (Daily) Sabari Express will be augmented with one AC III Tier Coach from 15th July to 4th August, 2015.

9.Train No. 17250 Secunderabad-Machilipatnam (Daily) Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 11th to 31st July, 2015.

10.Train No. 17249 Machilipatnam - Secunderabad (Daily) Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 12th July to 1st August, 2015.

11.Train No. 17007 Secunderabad-Darbanga (Bi-weekly) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 25th and 28th July, 2015.

12.Train No. 17008 Darbanga- Secunderabad (Bi-weekly) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 28th and 31st July, 2015.

13.Train No. 17002 Secunderabad-Sainagar Shirdi (Bi-weekly) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 12th, 19th and 26thJuly, 2015.

14.Train No. 17001Sainagar Shirdi-Secunderabad (Bi-weekly) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 13th, 20th and 27thJuly, 2015.

15.Train No. 12770 Secunderabad-Tirupati Seven Hills (Bi-weekly (Tu, F)) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 28th and 31st July, 2015.

16.Train No. 12769 Tirupati-Secunderabad Seven Hills (Bi-weekly (M, F)) Express will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th, 31st July and 3rd August, 2015.

17.Train No. 12761 Tirupati - Karimnagar Express (Bi-weekly (W, Sa) will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 15th, 18th, 22nd, 25th, 29th July and 1st August, 2015.

18.Train No. 12762 Karimnagar - Tirupati Express (Bi-weekly (Su, Th)) will be augmented with one AC II Tier Coach on 16th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 29th July and 2nd August, 2015.

19.Train No. 17401 Tirupati – Machilipatnam (Daily) Narsapur Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from 11th to 31st July, 2015.

AUGMENTATION OF TRAIN NOs. 12007/12008 CHENNAI-MYSORE-CHENNAI SHATABDI EXPRESS WITH ONE ADDITIONAL SECOND CLASS AC CHAIR CAR PERMANENTLY BY SOUTHERN RAILWAY:--
Southern Railway has advised that an additional Second Class AC Chair Car has been attached permanently to Train Nos. 12007/12008 Chennai-Bangalore City-Chennai Shatabdi Express, with effect from 29th June, 2015 from both ends. 

These trains are now running with total 13 coaches (instead of 12 coaches earlier), consisting of One First Class AC Chair Car, Ten Second class AC Chair Cars and Two Luggage & Brake with Generator (Vestibule) Cars, with effect from 29th June, 2015. 

EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY AUGMENTS TRAIN NOs. 15228/15227 MUZAFFARPUR-YESVANTPUR-MUZAFFARPUR WEEKLY EXPRESS WITH ONE ADDITIONAL AC 3-TIER COACH PERMANENTLY :-

East Central Railway has decided to augment Train Nos.15228/15227 MUZAFFARPUR-YESVANTPUR-MUZAFFARPUR WEEKLY EXPRESS with ONE additional AC 3-tier coach, by replacing One Second Class Sleeper Coach permanently, with effect from Muzaffarpur end from 02nd November, 2015 and from Yesvantpur end from 04th November, 2015.

These trains will be running with total 24 coaches, consisting of One AC 2-tier coach, Four AC 3-tier coaches, Eleven Second class Sleeper coaches,Four General Second Class coaches,Two Second Class Luggage-cum-brake van-cum-disabled coaches, One Parcel Van and a Pantry Car.
