CHENNAI CENTRAL – MANGALORE CENTRAL SPECIAL TRAIN TO RUN FROM CHENNAI CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION

In view of engineering works pertaining to the strengthening of a Road Over Bridge at Katpadi railway station, various changes were made in train services, including partial cancellation of Train No.06627 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central ('West Coast') special train between Chennai Central – Jolarpettai o­n various days from 08 July, 2021 to 26 July, 2021.

As the engineering works at Katpadi have been completed ahead of schedule, Train No.06627 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central special train has been restored to run from Chennai Central.  So, o­n 26.07.2021, the train will not leave from Jolarpettai, as announced earlier, but will leave from Chennai Central.

Thus, Train No.06627 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central special train will run from Chennai Central Railway Station o­n and from 26.07.2021.

Central Railway will operate Mega Block o­n its suburnban sections of Trans-Harbour and Harbour line for carrying out maintenance work o­n 25.7.2021.

Thane-Vashi/Nerul Up and Dn Trans-Harbour Line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm

Dn services for Vashi/Nerul/Panvel leaving Thane from 10.35 am to 4.19 pm and

Up services for Thane leaving Panvel/Nerul/Vashi from 10.15 am to 4.09 pm will remain suspended during the block period.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm &

Chunabhatti / Bandra- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/Wadala Road from 11.34 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 09.56 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Goregaon/ Bandra from 10.45 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended.

There will be no Mega block o­n Main Line

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Trans-Harbour line and Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.           

These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

WESTERN RAILWAY STARTS TO RUN RAJDHANI EXPRESS WITH NEW UPGRADED TEJAS RAKES

First rake with exclusive Tejas type Smart Sleeper coaches introduced in Indian Railways

A new era of train travel experience with enhanced comfort is being rolled out by Western Railway with the introduction of newly upgraded Tejas sleeper coach rakes. These bright golden hued coaches, with enhanced smart features are being introduced to run Western Railway’s prestigious Mumbai Rajdhani Express train and will boast to offer best in class travel experience. This new rake made its maiden run from Monday, 19th July, 2021. This achievement has been accomplished under the able guidance, energetic leadership as well as continuous monitoring by Shri Alok Kansal – General Manager of Western Railway.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the existing rakes of Train No.02951/52 Mumbai – New Delhi Rajdhani Special Express, o­ne of the most prestigious & premium trains of WR are being replaced with brand new Tejas type sleeper coaches. Two such Tejas type sleeper coach rakes have been made ready to run as Rajdhani Express. Out of these two rakes, o­ne rake comprises of exclusive Tejas Smart sleeper coaches, which is first of its kind to be introduced over Indian Railways. The new train will have special smart features for enhanced passenger safety and comfort. The smart coach aims to provide world-class facilities to passengers with the help of intelligent sensor-based systems. It is equipped with Passenger Information and Coach Computing Unit (PICCU) provided with GSM network connectivity, which reports to the remote server. PICCU will record the data of WSP, CCTV recording, Toilet odour sensors, panic switch and other items integrated with fire detection and alarm system, air quality and choke filter sensor & energy meter.Shri Thakur stated that with the use of Tejas SMART Coach, Indian Railways aims to move to predictive maintenance instead of preventive maintenance. The introduction of this modern Tejas Sleeper type train for long distance journey, is another paradigm shift by Indian Railways for enhancing the travel experience for the passengers.

Additional Smart Features: 

●PA/PIS (Passenger Announcement/Passenger Information System): Two LCDs inside each coach display vital journey related information to the passengers such as the next station, distance remaining, expected time of arrival, delay and safety related messages.

●Digital destination board: Flush type LED Digital Destination Board has been installed o­n each coach by splitting the displayed data into two rows. The first row displays Train number and Coach type while second row displays scrolling text of destination and intermediate station in multiple languages.

●Security & Surveillance monitoring:Six nos. of cameras are fitted in each coach which gives live recording. CCTV cameras with day night vision capability, Facial recognition even in low light condition, Network Video Recorder are provided.

●Automatic Plug Door: All main entrance doors are centralized controlled by Guard. Train will not start until all doors are closed.

●Fire Alarm, Detection and Suppression system: All coaches are provided with Automatic Fire Alarm and Detection System. The Pantry and Power Cars have automatic fire suppression system in case detected.

●Emergency Talk back for medical or security emergency

●Improved Toilet Unit: Provided with anti-graffiti coating, Gel coated shelf, New design dustbin, Door latch activated light, Engagement display.

●Toilet Occupancy Sensor: Automatically displays the toilet occupancy inside each coach

●Panic Button in Lavatories:Fitted in each lavatory, in case of any emergency.

●Toilet Annunciation Sensor Integration (TASI): Two nos. of Toilet Annunciation Sensor Integration are fitted in each coach which will relay dos and don’ts announcement in the lavatories, whenever it is engaged.

●Bio-Vacuum Toilet system:  Provides improved hygiene condition in the toilet due to improved flushing and also save water per flush.

●Stainless Steel Under-frame:  Complete under-frame is of austenitic stainless steel (SS 201LN) which increases life of the coach because of reduced corrosion.

●Air Suspension Bogies: Provided with Air Spring Suspension in bogies to improve passenger comfort and ride quality of these coaches.

●On Board condition monitoring system for Bearing, Wheel, to improve safety

●HVAC - Air quality measurement for Air Conditioning system

●Water level sensor to indicate water availability o­n real time basis

●Textured Exterior PVC Film:  Exterior is provided with textured PVC film.

●Improved interiors: Seats and berths having fire – resistant silicon foam, provide better comfort and safety to passengers.

●Roller Blind o­n window:  Instead of curtains roller blinds provided for easy sanitization.

●Mobile Charging points: Provided for each passenger.

●Berth reading light: Provided for each passenger.

●Upper berth climbing arrangement: Convenient upper berth arrangement.

Shri Thakur stated that Tejas type Sleeper coaches are manufactured at Modern Coach Factory (MCF) which will gradually replace the premium long-distance trains over Indian Railways network.

There will be no Mega block o­n Main Line

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Transharbour line and Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

METRO TO RUN 104 MAINTENANCE SPECIAL SERVICES FROM 12.07.2021  BETWEEN  DAKSHINESWAR AND KAVI SUBHASH

Kolkata, Date: 10.07.2021

To ensure social distancing in Metro premises and trains, Metro will run 104 (52 UP & 52 DN) Maintenance Special Services instead of 90 Maintenance Special Services from 12.07.2021 (Monday) .

In the morning, the first service will leave from Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash at 08:00 hrs (instead of 08.30 hrs.) and the last service will leave from Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash at 11:30 hrs (no change in timing).

In the evening, the first service will leave from Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash at 15:30 hrs (instead of 15.45 hrs.) and the last service will leave from Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash at 19.15 hrs (instead of 19.00 hrs).

These services will ply at an interval of 8 minutes during peak hours from Monday to Saturday. There will be no services o­n Sunday.

Essential staff associated with health care service, veterinary service, Assembly, law and order, courts, social welfare homes, banks, correctional services, power, drinking water supply, telecom, internet, fire services, disaster management and civil defence, sanitation, NGO and Private Sector  associated with essential services, food and beverages, insurance, press, sewerage and funeral services etc. can avail these services with their proper ID and Metro Smart Cards. No tokens will be issued.

All commuters availing these services are requested to maintain social distancing and all other Covid Protocols strictly in Metro premises and o­n the trains.

PRS system Downtime (shutdown) for Data compression is planned o­n intervening night of 10.7.2021 & 11.7.2021.

PRS and Coaching refund activities will not be available from 23.45 hrs of 10.7.2021 to 02.45 hrs of 11.7.2021. Refund will be done manually as per extant rules.

IVRS system, Current Reservation, Refund Counters, Coaching Refund terminal, Charting work and Internet Booking for Mumbai PRS will not be available during the above period.

Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block o­n its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works o­n 11.7.2021.

Thane-Kalyan Up and Dn slow lines from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm

Dn Slow/Semi fast services leaving Mulund from 10.43 am to 3.46 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations, halting at Thane, Diva, Dombivali stations and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up Slow/ Semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.37 am to 3.51 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Kalyan and Mulund stations, halting at Dombivali, Diva, Thane stations and further will be re-diverted o­n Up Slow line at Mulund station and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

All Up and Dn slow services leaving/arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive/depart 10 minutes behind schedule.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm &

Restoration of Special Trains Between Mumbai and Madgaon/Kochuveli 

Central Railway has decided to restore the services of special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Madgaon / Kochuveli to clear the extra rush of passengers and also expected rush of Ganpati Festival. These specials will run as per monsoon timetable upto 31.10.2021 and further from 1.11.2021 o­nwards will run as per Non-monsoon timetable. The details are as under -

1. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus– Madgaon Bi- Weekly Double Decker Specials

  • 01085 Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus o­n every Monday and Wednesday at 05.33 hrs from 2.8.2021 to 31.10.2021 and arrive Madgaon at 17.00 hrs same day (as per Monsoon timings) and further from 1.11.2021 o­nwards o­n every Monday and Thursday to till further advice will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.33 hrs and arrive Madgaon at 16.45 hrs same day (as per Non-monsoon timings).

Central Railway will run 72 special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus / Panvel and Sawantwadi Road / Ratnagiri to clear the extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival 2021. The details are as under:

1. CSMT-Sawantwadi Road Daily Special (36 trips)

01227 special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00.20 hrs daily from 05.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 14.00 hrs same day.

01228 special will leave Sawantwadi Road at 14.40 hrs daily from 05.9.2021 to 22.9.2021 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 04.35 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chilpun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Nandgaon Road, Sindhudurg and Kudal.
