South Central Railway is running a conveniently planned Special Train connecting Hyderabad City with Bengaluru, to clear rush of traffic on Sundays.
The special train, which departs from Kacheguda will terminate at Krishnarajapuram, Bengaluru, (conveniently accessible to the Electronic City) so as to immensely benefit the huge number of IT sector professionals travelling between the two cities.
Train No. 07603 Kacheguda-Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) Special Train will depart Kacheguda at 18:00 hrs on Sundays i.e., 30th April, 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th May, 2017 and arrive Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) at 06:00 hrs on Monday morning.
In the return direction, Train No. 07604 Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) - Kacheguda Special Train will depart Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) at 22:30 hrs on Mondays i.e., 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th May, 2017 and arrive Kacheguda at 11:15 hrs on Tuesdays.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool Town, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Satya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam, Penukonda, Hindupur and Yelahanka stations in both the directions.
These special trains will consists of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class accommodation. Vacant berths are available for advance reservation in all classes. Passengers, particularly those on waiting list for other train services bound to Bengaluru on Sundays from Hyderabad City can opt to book their confirmed reservations by this special train.

Indian Railways takes various initiatives to facilitate travel in this summer
In an endeavor to provide smooth travel experience to the railway travelers, Indian Railways have taken various initiatives for improved passenger experience. Considering the peak season during summers, Indian Railways is poised to offer convenient travel to the passengers without upsetting their plans. To ensure optimal utilization of available accommodation, following initiatives have been undertaken by Indian Railways:-
i)Finalization of first reservation chart at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
ii)After preparation of first reservation chart, current ticket booking facility provided through any reserved ticket booking window as well as on internet till preparation of second reservation chart.
iii)Transfer of vacant available accommodation after preparation of second reservation chart to next remote location.
iv)Following facilities are also provided online through IRCTC website:
a)Waitlisted passengers given the option of accommodation in any other train without payment of any difference of fare or grant of refund thereon under VIKALP scheme. This facility can also be availed for e tickets booked prior to 01.04.2017
b)Tickets booked across reserved ticket booking window can be cancelled through IRCTC website or through 139.
c)In case of e tickets, boarding points can be changed through IRCTC website at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train.
d)The facility of online booking of wheel chair provided free of cost to passengers.
e)The facility of online booking of retiring rooms through IRCTC website has been introduced.
f)Disposable bedrolls can be purchased through IRCTC website.

TRANSFER OF VACANT BERTHS FOR OPTIMAL UTILISATION OF BERTHS
Indian Railway is introducing the facility of transfer of berths remaining vacant after second charting at the train originating station to the next and subsequent stations for clearing the waitlisted passengers at such stations.
·The PRS system will automatically allot vacant berths available at the originating stations after preparation of second chart to the subsequent stations where waitlisted passengers are available. The passenger will get SMS on his registered mobile indicating the coach and berth number allotted. This will help passengers boarding at road side stations to get confirmed berths. Presently they get their berths confirmed only if confirmed berths from the pooled quota (PQ) allotted to the station are cancelled.
·The TTEs will be able to allot vacant berths on board after departure of the train only upto the next station where quota is available for the train. In case no person boards the train at the next station he can further allot/extend the same to the next quota station.
·At present about 3 lakh berths per year go unutilised while there may be demand at intermediate stations. This system will help in better utilization of available berths at the time of departure of trains from the originating station and also reduce the discretion available with TTEs in allotting the berths.

Vacant berths are available in II AC and III AC Classes of Train No. 02793 Secunderabad-Patna Suvidha Superfast Special train being run by South Central Railway on 29th April 2016 to clear extra rush of passengers.
The train will depart Secunderabad at 08:35 hrs on 29th April, 2016 (Friday) and arrive Patna at 16:10 hrs on next day.

Railways to cut down the role TTEs in alloting vacant berths to passengers in Train.
New Delhi: The 'High-occupancy' traind all over Indian railways which include prominent trains from Lucknow division like superfast Lucknow Mail and Pushpak Express will have a facility in place that will not require passengers 'bargain' over vacent berths aboard the train with the Train Ticket Examiner(TTEs).
Most of the passengers will not deny that 'requesting' a TTE to allot a vacant berth in a train is aharrowing experience.To cut down the role of TTE and make the allotment of vacant berths a transparent process,railways have started giving hand-held machines to TTE's to update the information regarding berths left vacant in a train due to passengers who do not show up.
TTE will have to update the status of vacant berth which gets updated on the hand-held will show in the railways reservation system as well as in the charting of the next station in the route of the train.It will also show at the current reservation counter at the station.Facility will soon be launched in trains from Lucknow division.'This will make allotment of vacant berths a transparent process," said senior divisional commercial manager(DCM) Northern Railways,Lucknow,Ashwini Srivastava.
TTEs will neither be able to hide the information nor extort money from passengers for alloting vacent berths.TTEs on-board high-occupancy trains will get the machines first. Railways have already conducted trials for the new move in few trains.
