Extension of Kurla Local up to and from Ghatkopar
Central Railway has decided to extend Local   97615 (C-15) and 97618 (C-18) Kurla Local upto Ghatkopar with new number 97505 (G 5) and 97506 (G 6) with effect from 31.12.2018 as under.
·G-5 Ghatkopar local will leave CSMT at 09.57 hrs and will reach Ghatkopar at 10.31 hrs
·G-6 CSMT local will leave Ghatkopar at 10.35 hrs and will reach CSMT at 11.12 hrs
G-5 and G-6 CSMT–Ghatkopar locals will not run o­n Sundays/ Holidays.
Due to this the timings of following locals will be as under:-
·TL-15 Titwala local will leave CSMT at 09.53 hrs (existing 09.57 hrs) and reach Kalyan at 11.24 hrs and no change between Kalyan- Tilwala section.
·K-35 Kalyan local will leave CSMT at 10.02 hrs and will reach Kalyan at 11.32 hrs
·T 45 Thane local will leave CSMT at 10.06 hrs and will reach Thane at 11.04 hrs
·T 47 Thane local will leave CSMT at 10.10 hrs and will reach Thane at 11.08 hrs
·K 37 Kalyan local will leave CSMT at 10.14 hrs and will reach Kalyan at 11.45 hrs
Total services o­n main line will be 856 daily as at present. Total Ghatkopar services will increase from 4 to 6 daily.

Central Railway will operate traffic and power block at Ghatkopar on 23/24.06.2018 (Saturday/Sunday Night) from 00.15 hours to 06.15 hrs. (6.00 hrs) on Up & Dn slow line for launching of girders of New FOB.
Diversion of Suburban Services
All down slow locals leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 11.30 pm on 23.06.2018 to 5.28 am on 24.06.2018 will be diverted on Dn fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations. These locals will not halt at Vidyavihar, Kanjur Marg and Nahur stations.
All Up slow locals leaving Thane from 11.49 pm on 23.06.2018 to 6.08 am on 24.06.2018 will be diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations. These locals will not halt at Nahur, Kanjur Marg and Vidyavihar stations.
All Up Mail /Express trains arriving Dadar/Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus during block period will arrive destination 25- 30 minutes late.
All Dn Mail/Express trains towards Igatpuri/Lonavala/Roha leaving during block period will also be handed over 25-30 minutes late.
Passengers are requested to kindly bear with administration for the inconvenience caused. Such blocks are essential for infrastructure provision.

Central Railway operate Traffic and Power block at Ghatkopar on 12/13.03.2018 (Monday-TuesdayNight) from 00.45 hrs to 05.55 hrs (5.10 hrs) on 5thline and 6thline for dismantling of old FOB.
Re-Scheduling of Mail/Express Trainon 13.03.2018
Train No. 22129 LTT- Allahabad Express schedule departure 05.23 hrs will be rescheduled at 06.00 hrs.
Train No. 11061 LTT- Muzaffarpur Pawan Express schedule dep. 12.15 hrs will be rescheduled at 14.20 hrs.
Short Termination of Mail/Express Trains at Thane

Mumbai Metro Train Schedule

Mumbai Metro Train Schedule 
The headway between each train on Weekdays (Monday to Saturday) will be 4 minutes at peak hours and 8 minutes at non-peak hours. The headway between each train on Sundays or Public Holidays will be 8 minutes.
  • The 1st train* will leave from Versova at 05:20 hrs and Ghatkopar at 05:29 hrs.
  • The last train* from Versova will leave at 23:20 hrs. The last train from Ghatkopar will leave at 23:46 hrs.
  • *Subject to change from time to time, please contact Customer Care at station for an update on the same.

Special Traffic Block o­n 07.11.2015 /08.11.2015 Midnight

Central Railway will operate a special traffic block for replacement of steel girders of a bridge with PSC slab between Vidyavihar and Ghatkopar o­n Saturday/Sunday midnight o­n 07.11.2015 / 8.11.2015 as under:

Dn fast line (00.15 - 05.45 hrs), Up slow line (00.15-06.30 hrs) and Dn slow line (01.45 - 03.45 hrs)Suburban

Up slow trains leaving Thane from 23.48 hrs to 00.42 hrs and 04.01 hrs to 05.35 hrs will be diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations and will halt at all stations wherever platforms are available. 

Up slow trains will be not be available at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar stations. Passengers are permitted to travel via Bhandup, Vikhroli and Kurla o­n their valid tickets.

Long Distance 

Dn mail/express trains leaving from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai and Dadar from 00.05 hrs to 05.25 hrs will be diverted on Dn slow line between Matunga and Mulund stations

Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused due to this block.

Central Railway will operate Mega Block o­n its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work on 04.10.2015: -

KALYAN - THANE UP SLOW LINE FROM 11.15 AM TO 3.15 PM.

Up Slow and semi-fast line services leaving Kalyan from 10.47 am to 03.04 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Kalyan and Thane stations.Up slow line services will not be available at Thakurli, Kopar, Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations. Passengers of these stations are permitted to travel via Dombivali and Thane stations. 

All Dn fast line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 10.08 am to 2.42 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast line services leaving Thane from 10.46 am to 3.26 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. 

All slow locals arriving and leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus between 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule. 

MASJID - CHUNABHATI UP AND DN HARBOUR LINES & 
VADALA ROAD-MAHIM UP AND DN HARBOUR LINES FROM 11.30 AM TO 3.30 PM

All DN harbour line services to Panvel / Belapur / Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 11.09 am to 3.45 pm and UP harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel / Belapur / Vashi from 10.08 am to 2.49 pm will remain suspended.

All DN Harbour line services to Bandra / Andheri leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from10.48 am to 3.33 pm and UP harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Andheri / Bandra from 10.40 am to 3.45 pm will remain suspended.

Special locals will be run between Panvel - Kurla from Kurla Platform No.8 during the block period. 

Harbour line passengers for Bandra/ Andheri are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

As a result of this, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling on foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

THANE - KALYAN DN FAST LINE FROM 10.30 AM TO 3.00 PM

Dn fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 9.37 am to 2.25 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts. Dn fast services beyond Thane will be diverted on Dn slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations halting at all stations and will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast line services leaving Thane station from 10.46 am to 3.28 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. 

All Dn and Up slow locals leaving / Arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus during 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Rescheduling of Express Train - 16345 Dn Netravati Express scheduled departure 11.40 am on 20.9.2015 is rescheduled to leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 2.30 pm.

THANE - KALYAN DN FAST LINE FROM 10.30 AM TO 3.00 PM

Dn fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 9.37 am to 2.25 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts. Mumbai Metro fares can be much lower, insist experts

Mumbai: Metro commuters can evade a fare burden if the authorities think out-of-the-box, liberalizing commercial exploitation rules at stations and subside the interest burden on the loan component and electricity tariff.

The three-member fare-fixation committee (FCC) has recommended fares in the range of Rs.10-110 for the 11.4 km Metro corridor that has 12 stations on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route.

The Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) has taken a loan from Indian and foreign banks with an interest of 13% during construction and 11.7% post re-financing. But the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has sought a Japan Bank of Industrial Cooperation (JBIC) loan at 1.2% interest through government lending. Also, all foreign exchange fluctuations are borne by the government in the case of DMRC, while MMOPL has to bear the entire risk of forex fluctuations. DMRC has also been given transit-oriented development rights along the Metro corridor, helping it raise earnings through non-fare box revenue.

An expert said, “The state government should liberalize rules of commercial exploitation of air space at Metro stations along the corridor, which have emerged as a major corporate hub over the past decade. They can earn handsome revenue which can help reduce fares. Real estate rates in Mumbai are among the highest and the authorities should allow MMOPL to take advantage of it with stricter norms to ensure that the earnings should bring down fares.” He added, “If low interest rates and cheap electricity tariff are available for Mumbai Metro, fares can be Rs.10-60.” Another expert said, “The government should review the discriminatory PPP policy.”

3-day Celebrations to mark Mumbai Metro’s first Anniversary

Mumbai: Three-day celebrations starting Saturday will mark Mumbai Metro’s first anniversary. There, however, will not be any fare discount for commuters.

Mumbai Metro was inaugurated on June 8 last year, making it the first Metro rail of western India.

As per the plans, Saturday onwards there will be exhibitions, performances and felicitation programme, among other activities.

Between Saturday and Monday, there will be two exhibitions. Students of engineering and technical institutes will comprise the first exhibition at Western Express Highway station, highlighting use of technology in transportation systems. The second exhibition will be at Ghatkopar station, wherein exhibits will showcase Mumbai Metro One’s focus on customer initiatives.

The third plan will have performances at the stations — concourse and platforms — as well as inside the trains, whenever possible. These will be conducted by the National Streets Performing Artists.

On Saturday morning, heroes of Mumbai Metro, ie commuters who have already been recognised for their helpful acts, will be felicitated. These commuters have been helping the Mumbai Metro staff in various ways, such as by nabbing those littering, and catching hold of those clicking photos of women commuters on the sly.

Differently-abled and senior citizens will be given a ride on Metro as part of the celebrations. On Monday, a cultural programme has been organised for the staff inside the Mumbai Metro depot premises at Four Bungalows.

Mumbai: After the completion of its one year of commercial service Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) has come up with retail offers for its commuters. The smart card users of Mumbai Metro, on Monday, would be able to go on a shopping spree on the 11.4 km long metro corridor connecting Versova with Ghatkopar via Andheri. as MMOPL has tied up with several retailers in a bid to offer a unique shopping experience to its commuters.

They would be to get discounts and offers while shopping at several retail outlets along the corridor just by displaying their smart travel cards.

“Since beginning we have been offering various commuter-friendly offers. And now, as we have taken unique initiative to enhance commuter delight by offering them volley of retail offers to mark one successful year of commuter-service,” said MMOPL spokesperson. The complete Women Shoppe will offer heavy discounts on products by displaying Mumbai Metro One smart card. Commuters may also avail discounts on executive health check ups at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and also on contact lenses at Sunayan Optics. There would be offers and discounts on mobile too.

UP fast services leaving Thane from 10.46 am to 3.53 pm will be diverted on UP slow line between Mulund and Parel stations halting at all stations upto Parel and further re-diverted on UP fast line proper at Parel station and will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

DN fast line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 10.08 am to 2.51 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

All slow locals arriving and leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai between 11.00 am to 4.00 pm will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

Realtors take advantage of ambitious Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro Rail system

Mumbai: Taking advantage of the ambitious Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar system, builders had hiked property rates of projects in the periphery of the infrastructure, citing the fast commute afforded by the location and the time and energy saved. Realty experts remain divided over the move.

The construction of the Metro rail in the Versova-Ghatkopar corridor is a godsend for builders, who had lost the opportunity to increase property rates of their projects that are adjacent to suburban local lines.

Builders had chosen to cash in on the Metro by hiking the rates of the projects near the corridor at regular intervals, citing the fast commute afforded by the location and the time and energy saved. This trend of hiking rates ended when the commercial run of the Metro started and by then builders had hiked the rate by 12-15 per cent. In the non-Metro corridor, however, the increased rate was upped by eight to 10 per cent in the last year.
