WR'S JUMBO BLOCK BETWEEN MARINE LINES AND MAHIM STATIONS ON SUNDAY, 17th NOVEMBER, 2019
A jumbo block of five hours will be taken from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs o­n Sunday, 17th November, 2019 o­n Dn slow line between Marine Lines and Mahim stations for maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipment. During the block all Dn slow line trains will run o­n Dn fast line between Marine Lines and Mahim Jn. and will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Prabhadevi and Matunga Road, for want of platform. During the block, passengers can travel in opposite direction to their destinations between BANDRA and MUMBAI CENTRAL stations.
All slow services will avail Double halt at Lower Parel and Mahim Jn during block period. Few UP and DN suburban services will remain cancelled during the block, the list of which will be available at all stations in the suburban section. Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.

SOME PART OF SOUTH END FOB AT MAHIM STATION TO BE CLOSED FROM 12th NOVEMBER TO 26th DECEMBER , 2019
For the major repairing and strengthening work of South end foot over bridge situated o­n PF No. 2 & 3 to PF No. 1 at Mahim Rly station, the west span of this FOB over up & down slow lines between PF No. 2/3 & PF No.1 including north side staircase of this FOB will remain closed from 12th November, 2019 to 26thDecember, 2019. Passengers travelling towards harbour line can use this FOB from PF No. 2/3. During this period, passengers may also use north FOB and Middle (New) foot over bridge. Inconvenience caused due to this is regretted by Western Railway.

W.RLY TO OPERATE ITS 1000TH JUMBO BLOCK OVER THE MUMBAI SUBURBAN SECTION

on 9thApril, 2017, Western Railway is all geared-up to undertake a Jumbo Block between Marine Lines & Mahim and they have a reason to cheer. What makes this block so special is that it marks the 1000th such Jumbo Block being operated by W.Rly over its suburban section.

As stated by Shri Ravinder Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway in a Press Release, the first Jumbo Block on Western Railway Suburban section was planned & operated o­n 22nd October, 1995 between Borivali & Goregaon o­n the UP & DOWN FAST Lines and the pattern was followed wherein such blocks of almost 3 to 5 hrs were undertaken, mostly o­n Sundays or Saturdays. The traffic department of the Division was entrusted with the o­nus of planning the diversions and cancellation of suburban services. It is so meticulously planned that there is minimum inconvenience caused to travelling passengers.

 The Jumbo Block is conducted in order to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signlling & overhead equipments, which is jointly undertaken by Engineering, Electrical & Signalling departments of that particular section. The main motive has been to give high priority to the improvement of the current infrastructure and also with an emphasis o­n preventive maintenance. This weekend, brace yourself patiently to this noble cause by W. Rly, as it undertakes its 1000th Jumbo Block on DOWN LOCAL (slow) line between Marine Lines & Mahim between 10.35 to 15.35 hrs.

WR'S JUMBO BLOCK BETWEEN MARINE LINES & MAHIM JN. 

Western Railway's Jumbo block will be carried out from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs o­n Sunday, 9th April, 2017 on Down Local (i.e. slow) line between Marine Lines and Mahim Jn. for maintenance of track, signalling and overhead equipments.

During the block, all Down slow line trains will be operated o­n Down through lines (i.e. fast lines) between Marine Lines and Mahim Jn. These diverted trains will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Elphinstone Road, and Matunga Road for want of platform, hence passengers are allowed to travel in opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra & Mumbai Central stations.

All slow services will take double halt at Lower Parel and Mahim Jn. Due to the block, some Up and Down local trains will remain cancelled, the information for which will be available at all stations in the suburban section. Passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements.

MAHIM OLD STAIRCASE OF NORTH END FOOT OVER BRIDGE ON PLATFORM 2/3 CLOSED FROM 27/01/2017 TO 26/02/2017

Due to construction of new staircase at Mahim station, the old staircase of north end Foot Over Bridge on platform no. 2/3 will remain closed for 31 days from 27th January, 2017 to 26th February, 2017. Passengers may use staircase at platform no. 2/3 of south end Foot Over Bridge during this period. Inconvenience to be caused to passengers during this period is regretted.

Central Railway will operate Mega Block on Main line and Harbour line for carrying out maintenance work o­n 07.08.2016: 

DIVA - KALYAN DN SLOW LINE FROM 11.30 AM TO 3.30 PM

DN slow & semi-fast services leaving Mumbra from 11.30 am to 3.29 pm will be diverted o­n Dn fast line between Diva and Kalyan stations halting at Dombivali station.

Dn fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 10.20 am to 2.42 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

Up fast/Semi fast line services leaving Thane station from 11.22 am to 3.28 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

All Dn and Up slow locals leaving / arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 10.30 am to 3.03 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS – CHUNABHATTI/ MAHIM DN HARBOUR LINE FROM 11.40AM TO 3.40 PM &

CHUNABHATTI/ MAHIM - CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS UP HARBOUR LINE FROM 11.10 AM TO 3.10 PM

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi / Belapur /Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 10.07 am to 11.38 am and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.27 am to 11.32 am will remain suspended.

All Dn harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 11.01am to 3.53 pm and Dn harbour line services to Bandra / Andheri leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai from 11.04 am to 3.49 pm and all UP harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai leaving Bandra / Andheri from 10.44 am to 4.01 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will be run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.            

Due to these blocks, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling o­n foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling & overhead equipments, a jumbo block will be taken o­n Up & Dn Harbour lines between Mahim and Andheri stations from 11.00 hrs to 16:00 hrs on Sunday i.e 31st July, 2016.

During the block period, some harbour line trains and some trains between Churchgate – Andheri - Churchgate will remain cancelled. There will be no services on the harbour corridor during the block period between Bandra and Andheri stations.

During the block, all down slow line trains will run o­n down fast line between Marine Lines and Mahim Junction.
These diverted trains will not halt at Mahalaxmi,  Elphinstone Rd and Matunga Rd for want of platform, hence passengers are allowed to travel in opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra and Mumbai Central stations.

All 12 car slow services will take a double halt at Lower Parel and Mahim Junction.

Due to the block, some up and down suburban trains will remain cancelled.

Therefore, there will not be any day block on Sunday, 13th Sept, 2015 on Western Railway’s suburban section.

During the block, all up through line trains will run o­n up local line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central stations which will be delayed by 10 minutes.
