BANDRA TERMINUS – GORAKHPUR TRAIN AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK OVER NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY

In view of the o­ngoing work for commissioning of patch doubling work at Mau – Pipri Dih – Dullahapur stations & Mau - Khurahat stations in North Eastern Railway, a block will be undertaken from 06th to 18th December, 2025. Due to this, Train No. 19091/19092 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Express will be affected.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the details of the train affected are as under:

Train No. 19091 Bandra Terminus - Gorakhpur Express, journey commencing o­n 15th December, 2025 will short terminate at Varanasi station instead of Gorakhpur. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Varanasi and Gorakhpur stations.Similarly, 

Train No. 19092 Gorakhpur – Bandra Terminus Express, journey commencing o­n 16th December, 2025 will depart from Varanasi station instead of Gorakhpur station. Hence, this train will be partially cancelled between Gorakhpur and Varanasi stations.

A FEW WR TRAINS AFFECTED DUE TO BLOCK ON CHURU – SADULPUR SECTION

A Block will be undertaken in January, 2026 for infrastructure work between Churu - Aslu – Dudhwa Khara stations o­n Churu - Sadulpur section of North Western Railway.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the details of the trains which will be affected due to the block are as under:

Diversion of Trains:

1.Train No. 14702 Bandra Terminus - Shri Ganganagar Express, journey commencing from 20th to 22nd January, 2026, will be diverted via Sadulpur - Loharu - Sikar stations and will have additional halt at Nawalgarh – Jhunjhunu - Loharu stations.

2.Train No. 14701 Shri Ganganagar - Bandra Terminus Express, journey commencing from 20th to 23rd January, 2026, will be diverted via Sikar - Loharu - Sadulpur stations and will have additional halt at Loharu – Jhunjhunu - Nawalgarh stations.

3.Train No. 04712 Bandra Terminus – Bikaner Special, journey commencing o­n 22nd January, 2026, will be diverted via Jaipur – Bikaner stations and will have additional halt at Phulera – Makrana – Degana – Nagaur - Nokha stations.

4.Train No. 04711 Bikaner – Bandra Terminus Special, journey commencing o­n 21st January, 2026, will be diverted via Bikaner – Jaipur stations and will have additional halt at Nokha - Nagaur - Degana - Makrana - Phulera stations.

5.Train No. 19271 Bhavnagar Terminus - Haridwar Express, journey commencing o­n 22nd January, 2026, will be diverted via Merta Road - Bikaner – Bathinda - Dhuri stations and will have additional halt at Nagaur – Nokha – Bikaner – Suratgarh – Hanumangarh – Bathinda stations.

6.Train No. 19272 Haridwar – Bhavnagar Terminus Express, journey commencing o­n 21st & 24th January, 2026, will be diverted via Dhuri - Bathinda – Bikaner – Merta Road stations and will have additional halt at Bathinda – Hanumangarh – Suratgarh – Bikaner – Nokha – Nagaur stations.

Rescheduling/Regulation of Trains:

1.Train No. 19027 Bandra Terminus – Jammu Tavi Express, journey commencing from 03rd to 17th January, 2026, (3 Trips) will be regulated enroute at Churu by 30 minutes.

2.Train No. 22915 Bandra Terminus – Hisar Express, journey commencing from 05th to 19th January, 2026, (3 Trips) will be regulated enroute at Churu by 30 minutes.

Line Block in Nagercoil – Tirunelveli Section: Changes in pattern of Train Services

In view of Line Block to facilitate doubling of track between Aralvaymozhi – Valliyur stations in Nagercoil – Tirunelveli section, the following are the changes in pattern of train services:

Partial Cancellation of Train Services:

1.Train No. 22627 Tiruchchirappalli – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express scheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli at 07.20 hrs o­n 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli – Thiruvananthapuram Central. The train will not run from Tirunelveli to Thiruvananthapuram Central.

2.Train No. 22628 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Tiruchchirappalli Superfast Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 11.35 hrs o­n 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram – Tirunelveli. The train will leave Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 14.30 hrs

3.Train No. 20691 Tambaram – Nagercoil Antyodaya Express scheduled to leave Tambaram at 23.00 hrs o­n 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, 28th, April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli – Nagercoil. The train will not run from Tirunelveli to Nagercoil

4.Train No. 20692 Nagercoil – Tambaram Antyodaya Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 15.50 hrs o­n 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 28th, 29th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil – Tirunelveli. The train will leave Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 17.05 hrs

5.Train No. 16861 Puducherry – Kanyakumari Express scheduled to leave Puducherry at 12.00 hrs o­n 24th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli - Kanyakumari. The train will not run from Tirunelveli to Kanyakumari

6.Train No. 16862 Kanyakumari – Puducherry Express scheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 13.50 hrs o­n 25th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Kanyakumari – Tirunelveli. The train will leave Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 15.40 hrs

7.Train No. 16191 Tambaram – Nagercoil Express scheduled to leave Tambaram at 23.00 hrs o­n 25th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli – Nagercoil. The train will not run from Tirunelveli to Nagercoil

8.Train No. 16192 Nagercoil – Tambaram Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 15.50 hrs o­n 26th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil - Tirunelveli. The train will leave Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 17.05 hrs

9.Train No. 12667 Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Express scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 18.55 hrs o­n 28th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil – Tirunelveli. The train will not run from  Nagercoil to Tirunelveli

10. Train No. 12668 Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore Express scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 16.15 hrs o­n 29th April 2022 will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil – Tirunelveli. The train will leave Tirunelveli at its scheduled departure time of 17.15 hrs

Rescheduling of Train Service:

1.Train No. 12634 Kanyakumari – Chennai Egmore Express scheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 17.05 hrs o­n 29th April 2022 will be rescheduled to leave Kanyakumari at 17.50 hrs (Late by 45 Minutes)

Changes in Pattern of Train Services

In view of Line Block/Power Block to facilitate track Doubling work between Ettumanu – Kottayam – Chingavanam stations, the following changes are made in pattern of train services

Diversion of Train Services:

·Train No. 22647 Korba – Kochuveli Bi-weekly Superfast Express scheduled to leave Korba at 19.40 hrs o­n 05th, 09th, 12th, 16th, 19th, 23rd, 26th February and 02nd  March, 2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Tripunittura , Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara. For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam South, Cherthala, Alappuzha Ambalapuzha and Haripad

· Train No. 17230 Secunderabad – Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Express scheduled to leave Secunderabad at 12.20 hrs o­n 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th February and 01st, 02nd, 03rd and  04th March,  2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara. For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha and Haripad

·Train No. 16649 Mangalore Central – Nagercoil Express scheduled to leave Mangalore central at 05.05 hrs o­n 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd February, 2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Tripunittura, Piravam, Ettumanur, Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara . For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam South, Cherthala, Alappuzha Ambalapuzha and Haripad

·Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram Central – New Delhi Superfast Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 12.20 hrs o­n 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd February, 2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanasseri, Kottayam and Vaikom. For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam

· Train No. 12202 Kochuveli – Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Garib Rath Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 08.45 hrs on 17th and 20th February, 2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Chengannur, Tiruvalla, and Kottayam.  For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha and Ernakulam.

·Train No. 18567 Visakhapatnam – Kollam Express scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam at 07.25 hrs o­n 17th February, 2022 will be diverted to run via Alappuzha duly skipping the stoppages at Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla and Chengannur. For the convenience of passengers additional stoppages will be provided at Cherthala, Alappuzha Ambalapuzha and Haripad

Regulation of Train Services:

·Train No. 15906 Dibrugarh – Kanniyakumari Vivek Express scheduled to leave Dibrugarh at 19.25 hrs on 15th February, 2022 will be regulated for 40 minutes and o­n 22nd February, 2022 will be regulated for 45 minutes enroute. The train will be regulated for 15 minutes in Ernakulam South - Kottayam section o­n 01st March, 2022

·Train No. 12778 Kochuveli – Hubballi Superfast Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 12.50 hrs on 17th February, 2022 will be regulated for 30 minutes enroute

· Train No. 22678 Kochuveli – Yesvantpur Superfast Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 12.50 hrs on 18th February, 2022 will be regulated for 30 minutes enroute

·Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram Central – New Delhi Superfast Express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 12.20 hrs on 24th, 25th February and 03rd, 04th March, 2022 will be regulated at Kottayam for 35 minutes. The train will be regulated for 35 minutes in Kayankulam – Kottayam section o­n 27th February, 2022

CHANGES IN PATTERN OF EXPRESS TRAIN SERVICES

According Priority to passengers’ safety and Safety of train operations, as a part of o­ngoing Engineering works, Line Block/Power Block is to be undertaken in Chennai Egmore – Villupuram section at Chennai Egmore Yard from 17th January to 03rd March 2022. Consequently, the following are the changes in the pattern of Express Special train services.

Short termination of express train service

Train No.12668  Nagercoil Jn – Chennai Egmore Weekly Superfast Express leaving Nagercoil at 16:15 hrs on Fridays from 21st January to 25th February 2022 (i.e., 21st, 28th January, 04th, 11th, 18th, 25th February 2022) will be short terminated at Tambaram on Saturdays and partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Egmore. Scheduled arrival at Tambaram is 04:10 hrs.

Change of origination of express train service

Train No.12667 – Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Jn. Weekly Superfast Express leaving Chennai Egmore at 18:55 hrs on Thursdays from 20th January to 03rdMarch 2022 (i.e., 20th, 27th January, 03rd, 10th, 17th, 24th February, 03rdMarch 2022) will originate at 19:30 hrs from Tambaram and partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram.

CHANGES IN PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICES
As a part of ongoing Engineering works, Line Block/Power Block is permitted in Chennai Egmore – Villupuram - Gudur section. CC Apron work at Chennai Egmore yard Road 4 is permitted for a period of 60 days from 10.10.2019 to 08.12.2019 at various timings.
In view of the above line block, there will be changes in the pattern of few train services. The inconvenience caused to passengers is regretted. Passengers are requested to cooperate with Railways in ensuring smooth train operations.
Partial cancelation of train services:
Train No. 12632 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Nellai Express journey commencing from 09.10.2019 to 07.12.2019 is partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Egmore. This train will run from Tirunelveli to Tambaram.
Train No. 12662 Sengottai – Chennai Egmore Pothigai Express journey commencing from 09.10.2019 to 07.12.2019 is partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chennai Egmore. This train will run from Sengottai to Tambaram.
Train No. 56060 Villupuram – Tambaram Passenger journey commencing from 10.10.2019 to 08.12.2019 is partially cancelled between Chengalpattu and Tambaram. This train will run from Villupuram to Chengalpattu.
Change in origin Station
Train No. 12631 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Nellai Express journey commencing from 10.10.2019 to 07.12.2019 is partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram. This train will depart from Tambaram instead of Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings.
Train No. 12261 Chennai Egmore – Sengottai Pothigai Express journey commencing from 10.10.2019 to 07.12.2019 is partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram. This train will depart from Tambaram instead of Chennai Egmore as per scheduled timings.
Diversion of train
Train No. 12389 Gaya – Chennai Egmore Weekly Express journey commencing on 13th, 20th & 27th October, 03rd, 10th, 17th & 24th November, 01st December, 2019 is diverted to Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central instead of Chennai Egmore.
Change in Origin
Train No. 12390 Chennai Egmore – Gaya Weekly Express journey commencing on 15th, 22nd & 29th October, 05th, 12th, 19th & 26th November, 03rd December, 2019 is starts from Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central instead of Chennai Egmore. This train will depart Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central at 07.25 hrs.
Passenger special
For the benefit of passengers, a special will be operated from Chengalpattu to Tambaram, leaving Chengalpattu at 09.15 hrs from 10.10.2019 to 08.12.2019.

Line Block and Power Block is permitted in Chennai – Gudur section between Ponneri - Kavaraipettai stations for 110 minutes from 00.45 hrs to 02.35 hrs o­n 08th, 09th and 11th July, 2019 for construction of Road Over Bridge in lieu of launching of composite girder. On 23rdJune 2019, There will be two Passenger Specials from Chengalpattu to Tirumalpur at 08.50 hrs and 15.20 hrs, o­ne Passenger Special from Chengalpattu to Arakkonam at 11.13 hrs, and o­ne Passenger Special from Kanchipuram to Chennai Beach at 13.30 hrs o­n 23rd June 2019.

CHANGE IN THE PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICE
Line Block and Power Block is permitted in Chennai – Chennai Beach section at Chennai Beach and Royapuram yards from 23.30 hrs to 03.30 hrs (4 hours) from 17.05.2019 to 22.05.2019 for machine packing of points and crossovers. Details of the Block and repercussion of train services are given below.
Change of originating / Destination station:
• Train No.42608 Gummudipundi – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Gummudipundi at 21.40 hrs will be partially cancelled between Korukkupet and Chennai Beach and will instead be diverted to MMC from 17th to 21st May, 2019.
• Train No.43801 Chennai Beach – Arakkonam EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 01.20 hrs will leave at 01.25 hrs from MMC instead of Chennai Beach from 18th to 22nd May, 2019.

CHANGE IN PATTERN OF TRAINS DUE TO LINE BLOCK FOR SIGNAL UPGRADATION WORK AT PATTABIRAM                                                             
Line Block for upgradation and commissioning of new comprehensive centralised signalling system including new centralised Electronically Interlocked Panel combining Pattabiram East Siding, Pattabiram West Siding, and Pattabiram Railway Station is permitted from 21st to 23rd December 2018.
Consequently, there will be a 7 hour disconnection block from 05.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs and a Total traffic block from 12.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs o­n Sunday, 23rd December 2018 due to which the following are the changes in train services :-

·Train No.11041 Mumbai CST – Chennai Express leaving Mumbai CST at 14.00 hrs o­n 22nd December 2018 will be delayed/regulated enroute between Tiruttani and Arakkonam for 45 minutes and will arrive Chennai Central 30 minutes late o­n 23rd December 2018.
·Train No12296 Danapur – KSR Bengaluru Sanghamitra Express leaving Danapur at 20.10 hrs o­n 21st December 2018 will be delayed/regulated at Chennai Central for 135 minutes from 13.55 hrs to 16.10 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018.
·Train No.22351 Patliputra – Yeswantpur Express leaving Patliputra at 20.15 hrs o­n 21st December 2018 will be delayed/regulated at Chennai Central for 50 minutes from14.45 hrs to 15.35 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018.
·Train No.12695 Chennai – Trivandrum Express leaving Chennai at 15.25 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018 will be delayed/regulated enroute for 15 minutes.

·Train No.11042 Chennai Central – Mumbai CST Express leaving Chennai Central at 12.20 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018 will be diverted to run via Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu – Arakkonam.

All other Mail/Express trains passing Pattabiram from 05.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018 will be delayed by about 20 to 30 minutes owing to manual piloting of trains at Pattabiram.
CHANGES IN EMU / SUBURBAN TRAINS o­n 23rd DECEMBER 2018
All EMU trains to and from Pattabiram Military Siding/E Depot will be fully cancelled from 03.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs in both directions o­n 23rd December 2018.
All EMU trains from MMC towards Arakkonam will be fully cancelled from 10.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018. However, Passenger Special EMUs will be operated from MMC to Avadi every half an hour from 10.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs o­n 23rd December 2018.
All EMU trains from Chennai Beach towards Arakkonam will be short terminated at Avadi and will return as Passenger Special EMU from Avadi to Chennai Beach.
All EMU trains from Arakkonam side to MMC/Chennai Beach/Velachery will be short terminated at Tiruninravur and will be turned back to Tiruvallur /Kadambattur/Arakkonam/Tiruttani o­n 23rd December 2018 till 16.00 hrs.
EMU Passenger Special will be operated from Arakkonam to Tiruninravur at 12.20 hrs and 12.45 hrs to connect Train No.16054 Tirupaty – Chennai Central Express and Train No.12680 Coimbatore – Chennai Intercity Express which will be short terminated at Arakkonam o­n 23rd December 2018.

Due to Line Block to facilitate engineering works at Kadambattur yard in Chennai – Arakkonam section for 3 hours 55 minutes from 00.05 hrs to 04.00 hrs changes will be made in the pattern of suburban train service on 06th, 08th, 10th and 12th December, 2018 (4 days) as explained below.
The following suburban train service will not stop at Senji Panambakkam.

PARTIAL CANCELLATION OF TRAIN SERVICE

Line Block is permitted between Vaniyambadi –Kettandapatti-Jolarpettai stations in Arakkonam – Jolarpettai section for Track Welding work for 3 hours 20 minutes from 11.20 hrs to 14.40 hrs o­n 28th September 2018.

Consequently, the following changes are made in the pattern of train service:

·Train No.56261 Arakkonam – KSR Bengaluru Passenger train is partially cancelled between Arakkonam – Jolarpettai o­n 28th September 2018 and will run from Jolrpettai to KSR Bengaluru o­nly.

·However, in lieu of the partial cancellation, a Passenger Special will be run from Arakkonam to Jolarpettai o­n 28th September leaving Arakkonam at 08.00 hrs and reaching Jolarpettai at 10.30 hrs, with stoppages at Sholingur, Walajah Road, Mukundarayapuram, Katpadi, Gudiyattam and Ambur.

Due to Line Block to facilitate deep screening of points & crossings with Ballast Cleaning Machine at Villupuram yard for 17 days from 12.07.2018 to 31.07.2018 (except Sundays), changes will be made in the pattern of train services as detailed below.

1.Train No.56037 / 56038 Chennai Egmore – Puducherry – Chennai Egmore passenger train services will be partially cancelled between Tindivanam – Puducherry.These trains will run between Chennai Egmore – Tindivanam o­nly.
2.Train No.56041 / 56042 Tirupati – Puducherry – Tirupati passenger train services will be partially cancelled between Tindivanam – Puducherry.These trains will run between Tirupati – Tindivanam o­nly.

2.Train No.16128 / 16130 Guruvayur / Tuticorin – Chennai Egmore link express, scheduled to reach Dindigul o­n 30.03.2018, will be diverted from Dindigul via Karur to reach Tiruchchirappalli.Consequently, the train will skip the stoppage at Manaparai.
