Diversion of Train Services

North Western Railway has notified for Diversion of train services due to Pre Non Interlocking /Non Interlocking engineering works at Hanumangarh, Mandi Dabwali and Bagwali station o­n Suratgarh and Bathinda section as given below.

Diversion of Train Services

1. Train No. 22497 Shri Ganganagar – Tiruchchirappalli Humsafar Express leaving Shri Ganganagar at 13.45hrs o­n 27th, January 2025   will be diverted to run via Sarupsar, and Suratgarh,

2. Train No. 22498 Tiruchchirappalli – Shri Ganganagar Humsafar Express leaving Tiruchchirappalli at 04.45hrs o­n 24th, January2025 will be diverted to run via Suratgarh.

3. Train No. 20497 Mandapam** – Firozpur Humsafar Express leaving  Mandapam at 23.10 hrs o­n 21st, & 28th, January 2025 will be diverted to run via  Sadulpur, Hisar, and

Bathinda with additional  stoppages at Hisar and Sirsa.

 4. Train No. 20498 Firozpur – Mandapam** Humsafar  Express leaving Firozpur at 05.55 hrs o­n 25th, January & 01st, February 2025  will be  diverted to run via Bathinda, Hisar, and Sadulpur,  with additional  stoppages at  Sirsa, andHisar

**T.Nos.20497/20498 Rameswaram-Firozpur-Rameswaram Humsafar Express services currently originate/terminate from Mandapam station.

North Western Railway has notified the extension of Special Trains as detailed below:-

Weekly Special Trains:

1. The service of Train No. 02475 Hisar - Coimbatore Weekly Special Train o­n Wednesdays will be extended to run from 03rd February, 2021 until further advice

2. The service of Train No. 02476 Coimbatore – Hisar Weekly Special Train o­n Saturdays will be extended to run from 06th February, 2021 until further advice

3. The service of Train No. 02978 Ajmer - Ernakulam Weekly Special Train o­n Fridays will be extended to run from 05th February, 2021 until further advice

4. The service of Train No. 02977 Ernakulam - Ajmer Weekly Special Train o­n Sundays will be extended to run from 07th February, 2021 until further advice

Railways to start trial runs of solar train in sunny Jodhpur

Annually, the Railways are hoping to reduce 239 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by saving approximately 90,800 litres of diesel per rake.

In line with the Indian Railways ‘Solar Mission’, to reduce dependency on fossil fuels, its north western division will soon commence trials of coaches fitted with solar panels which will power all the electrical appliances inside a train.
The first trial run will be conducted in the next three to four days in Jodhpur, NWR Public Relations Officer Gopal Sharma told IndianExpress.com.
The work on one rake of Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU), which has six coaches, has already been completed by Noida-based firm Jakson Engineers Limited (JEL). The firm was awarded a Rs 1.57-crore contract last October by the Indian Railways Organisation for Alternate Fuels for fitting solar panels on 50 DEMU coaches.
Every coach will be carrying 12 solar panels on the rooftop. The twelve panels, each panel producing 300 Watts in ideal conditions, will be able to generate 3.6 Kilowatts of electricity and supplant the load of 1.5 Kilowatts required to power the CFL lights and fans inside the coaches. All panels will be firmly held by U-channels that are welded to the coach body on the rooftop.
Annually, the Railways are hoping to reduce 239 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by saving approximately 90,800 litres of diesel per rake.
“The train route will be decided only after studying the project’s viability post the trials,” said PRO Sharma.
Jakson Engineers Limited (JL) has also been tasked with providing solar panels for DEMU coaches set to be used by the Railways for its pilot projects in Chennai and Amritsar.
“We have dispatched solar panels for 30 DEMU coaches in Chennai and 50 DEMU coaches in Amritsar,” said Dinesh Khanchandani of JEL.
Last year, the Indian Railways conducted trial runs of the Rewari-Sitapur passenger train fitted with solar panels at a cost of Rs 3.90 lakh. Two trains plying on the Pathankot-Jogindernagar route in Kangra Valley section and Kalka-Shimla section were also equipped with solar panels on trial basis.
Presenting the Railway Budget for 2016-17, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu announced plans to generate 1000 MW solar power in the next five years. The Railways have already undertaken steps to install solar panels on rooftops of at railway stations and at level crossings across the country.

NWR TO AUGMENTTRAIN NOs. 12976/12975 JAIPUR-MYSURU-JAIPUR EXPRESS WITH ONE ADDITIONAL AC 2-TIER COACH TEMPORARILY

North Western Railway(NWR) has advised temporary augmentation of Train Nos. 12976/12975 Jaipur-Mysuru-Jaipur Express with ONE additional AC 2-tier coach temporarily, with effect from Jaipur end from 12th to 28th October, 2015 and from Mysore end from 15th to 31st October, 2015 (on nominated days).

The revised composition of Jaipur-Mysuru-JaipurExpress shall be total 24 coaches (as against 23 coaches as at present), comprising of One AC First Class-cum AC 2-tier coach,Three AC 2-tier coaches, Five AC 3-tier coaches, Ten Second Class Sleeper coaches, Two General Second Class coaches, Two Second Class luggage-cum-brake vans-cum-disabled coaches and a Pantry Car, on nominated days for the above said period.

Train Cancelled /Diverted ,Due to Heavy Rain -North Western Railway

North-Western Railway cancels two trains on Jodhpur-Gandhidham rail section 

JAIPUR: Following heavy rains and damage to tracks, North-Western Railway today cancelled two trains and diverted one on Jodhpur-Gandhidham division, an official said. 

Jodhpur-Gandhidham SF, train number 22483 was cancelled today, and train number 22484 on the return scheduled tomorrow is cancelled, the CPRO said in a statement here. 

While the train number 14321/14322 Barelly-Newbhuj- Barelly is diverted on August 26 and 27 via Palanpur- Ahmedabad, the CPRO said. 

The train services have been hit by rains and washout of sand beneath the tracks, the CPRO said.

CONCOR to set up Solar Energy Plants at Abu Road and Bhilwara Railway Stations under CSR initiatives

Under the use of Solar Energy Programme in Indian Railways, Two Railway Stations in Rajasthan Namely Aburoad and Bhilwara Station to be Illuminated with Solar Energy

Indian Railways continues to take steps for increased use of environment friendly solar energy to supplement its energy needs. Under this programme, an important initiative has been taken today i.e. on 7.7.2015 by Ajmer Division of North Western Railway to illuminate its two Railway Stations namely Abu Road and Bhilwara Railway stations in Rajasthan with solar energy.

In this connection Ajmer Divisional Railway office has signed an MOU with Railways PSU viz. CONCOR to set up the solar plant at Aburoad and Bhilwara station under CSR (corporate social responsibility). The MOU has been signed between the two organizations today i.e. on 7.7.15 at Delhi in the presence of Shri Naresh Salecha, DRM Ajmer Division and Board of Directors CONCOR. Officers of Railways & CONCOR were present on the occasion.

The funding of the solar project will be done by CONCOR under CSR (Corporate social responsibility) programme & solar plant will be set up by Ajmer Division. CONCOR will provide approx. Rs 100 lacs to Railway to set up the solar plant on both stations. It is the result of special efforts made by DRM Shri Naresh Salecha. Solar plants have already been installed & working at Ajmer and Udaipur stations of Ajmer Division.

In this project, Railway will set up 40 KWP solar plant at Aburoad station and 40 KWP solar plants at Bhilwara station. The Solar plant will be maintained for 5 years under warranty scheme. The energy generated from it will provide continuous power supply to Railway platforms and the offices situated at the stations. After set up, the solar plant will not only ensure energy conservation, but will also help to keep the environment pollution free. The solar plant at both stations will produce 1, 50,000 units per year & railway will save Rs. 10, 50,000 per year. The codal life/estimated life of this project is 25 years. In this way Railways will save Rs. 2.5 cr. or more. Passengers of Aburoad and Bhilwara railway stations will be benefitted by this project.
