Survey ordered for new Railway Line from Latur Road to Gulbarga

MUMBAI: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has thrown his weight behind the laying down of the new railway line from Latur Road to Gulbarga junction in Karnataka.
In a letter addressed to Union railway minister Piyush Goyal, the CM has pushed for the new railway line while expressing the state government’s resolve to bear 50% of the total cost of the project. In his official remark on the letter, the railway minister has ordered an immediate survey of the new railway line that has been demanded.
The new line has also received recommendation from state cabinet minister Sambhaji Patil-Nilangekar, who is the guardian minister of Latur district.
“Sambhaji Patil-Nilangekar has brought to my notice that a new railway line connecting the Gulbarga junction with Latur Road station, will help to reduce the present rail travel distance by 150km and the travel time by around three hours. This will also become an alternate route to the existing single line between Latur Road and Vikarabad junction,” said Fadnavis, adding that the new line will reduce fuel consumption to a large extent.
Requesting an order for the immediate survey for the new line, the CM has said that he may consider sharing 50% of the cost to initiate the new railway line.
Welcoming the proposal to start a new railway line from Latur Road to Gulbarga, railway activist Raj Somani said that the letter written by the CM to the Union railway minister also mentioned a new line from Rotegaon-Kopargaon and Aurangabad-Chalisgaon.
“The new railway line from Latur Road to Gulbarga is projected to be like the Rotegaon-Kopargaon and Aurangabad-Chalisgaon lines. We demand the speedy completion of these two lines as well,” he said. A new line on the 22km route between Rotegaon-Kopargaon has been one of the most sought after routes in the region. A survey of the proposed route was in progress after the necessary sanction was received in 2017-18. If it comes up, the route will considerably reduce the travel time to Shirdi via Aurangabad and will also ease congestion on the busy Manmad junction.

Introduction of New Train Service between Bidar - Gulbarga 
Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India will flag off the new DEMU train between Bidar – Gulbarga at 18:00 hrs o­n 29th October, 2017 at Bidar Railway Station. However, The Regular services will commence from 30thOctober, 2017.
Inaugural Service:-
Accordingly, Train No.07655 Bidar – Gulbarga Inaugural Special Train consisting of 10 DEMU coaches will depart Bidar at 18:00 hrs o­n 29th October, 2017 (Sunday) and arrive Gulbarga at 21:30 hrs o­n the same day.
Enroute, this train will stop at Khanapur, Kanaji, Hallikhed B, Nandagaon, Humnabad, Kallur Road, Hallikhed K, Margutti, Kamalapur, Nawadgi, Kurukotta and Sultanpur  stations.
Regular Services between Bidar – Gulbarga - Bidar :- 
1)Train No. 77651 Bidar – Gulbarga DEMU Train will depart Bidar at 06:15 hrs on every day except   Sundays and arrive/depart Khanapur at 06:31/06:32 hrs, arrive/depart Kanaji at 06:48/06:49 hrs, arrive/depart Hallikhed B at 07:04/07:05 hrs, arrive/depart Nandagaon at 07:24/07:25 hrs, arrive/depart Humnabad at 07:37/07:38 hrs, arrive/depart Kallur Road at 07:55/07:56 hrs, arrive/depart Hallikhed K at 08:20/08:21 hrs, arrive/depart Margutti at 08:28/08:29 hrs, arrive/depart Kamalapur at 08:38/08:39 hrs, arrive/depart  Nawadgi at 08:49/08:50 hrs, arrive/depart Kurukotta at 08:59/09:00 hrs, arrive/depart  Sultanpur at 09:45/09:46 hrs and arrive Gulbarga at 10:00 hrs o­n the same day with  effect from 30th October, 2017.

URS FESTIVAL UNRESERVED SPECIAL TRAINS  BETWEEN  GULBARGA  AND HYDERABAD
Railways have decided to run 4 unreserved special trains between Gulbarga and Hyderabad  to clear the extra rush of passengers due to  Urs-e-Shareef festival of Hazrath Khaja Bandanawaz at Kalaburgi, Gulbarga from 08.08.2017 to 12.08.2017.
The details are as under-
  • Train No.07177 unreserved special train will leave Gulbarga at 06.00 hrs on 09.08.2017 & 12.08.2017 and will reach Hyderabad at 11.30 hrs same day.
  • Train No.07178 unreserved special train will leave Hyderabad at 23.30 hrs on 08.08.2017 & 11.08.2017 and will reach Gulbarga at 05.00 hrs next day.
  • Halts: Shahabad, Wadi Jn, Sulehalli, Chittapur, Malkhaid Road, Seram, Kurgunta, Nawandgi, Mantatti, Tandur, Rukmapur, Dharpur, Godamgura, Vikarabad, Chitgidda, Gullaguda, Ravalapallikalan, Sankarpalli, Nagalapalli, Lingampalli, Hafeezpet, Sanathnagar and Begumpet.
  • Composition: Ten General second class and Two luggage cum Guard’s brake van.

Special Trains for Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrath Khaja Bandanawaz at Gulbarga
 
In order to clear extra rush of passengers attending Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrath  Khaja Bandanawaz , at Gulbarga from 8th to 12th August, 2017. South Central Railway will run four Special Trains between Hyderabad and Gulbarga as per the following schedule:- 
Tr.No.07178 / 07177 Hyderabad – Gulbarga – Hyderabad Special Trains:- (04 services) Train No. 07178 Hyderabad - Gulbarga special train will depart Hyderabad at 23:30 hrs on 8th & 11th August, 2017 and arrive Gulbarga at 05:00 hrs on the next day.  
In the return direction, 
Train No. 07177 Gulbarga - Hyderabad special train will depart Gulbarga at 06:00 hrs on 9th & 12th August,  2017  and arrive Hyderabad at 11:30 hrs on the same day.Enroute, these special trains will stop at Begumpet, Sanatnagar, Hafeezpet, Lingampalli, Nagalapalli, Shankarpalli, Ravalapallikalan , Gullaguda, Chitgidda, Vikarabad, Godamgura, Dharur, Rukmapur, Tandur, Mantatti, Nawandgi, Kurgunta, Seram, Malkhaid Road, Chittapur, Sulehalli, Wadi and Shahbad stations in both the directions.The Special Trains will consist of 12 coaches viz., ten General Second Class and Two Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.

Accordingly, Train No. 57660 Falaknuma – Gulbarga Passsenger will depart Falaknuma at 05:00 hrs (instead of 05:05 hrs),arrive/depart Secunderabad at 05:45/05:55 hrs (instead of 05:50/06:05 hrs) and arrive Gulbarga at 12:40 hrs.

South Central Railway to Run Four Jansadharan Special Trains between Hyderabad and Gulbarga for Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrath Khaja Bandanawaz at Gulbarga

In order to clear extra rush of passengers attending Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrath Khaja Bandanawaz , at Gulbarga from 31st August to 2ndSeptember, 2015. South Central Railway will run four Jansadharan Special Trains between Hyderabad and Gulbarga as per the following schedule:-

Hyderabad – Gulbarga – Hyderabad Jansadharan Special Trains:- (04 services)

I)Train No. 07178 Hyderabad - Gulbarga Jansadharan special train will depart Hyderabad at 22 00 hrs o­n 31st August, 2015 and arrive Gulbarga at 04 30 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07177 Gulbarga - Hyderabad Jansadharan special train will depart Gulbarga at 05 30 hrs o­n 1st September, 2015 and arrive Hyderabad at 11 50 hrs o­n the same day.

II) Train No. 07180 Hyderabad - Gulbarga Jansadharan special train will depart Hyderabad at 23 30 hrs o­n 2nd September, 2015and arrive Gulbarga at 07 55 hrs o­n the next day

In the return direction, Train No. 07179 Gulbarga - Hyderabad Jansadharan special train will depart Gulbarga at 08 30 hrs o­n 3rd September, 2015 and arrive Hyderabad at 15 00 hrs o­n the same day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Begumpet, Sanatnagar, Hafizpet, Lingampalli, Nagalapalli, Shankarpalli, Ravalapallikalan , Gullaguda, Chitgidda, Vikarabad, Godamgura, Mailarum, Dharur, Rukmapur, Tandur, Mantatti, Nawandgi, Kurgunta, Seram, Malkhaid Road, Chittapur, Sulehalli and Wadi.

The Special Trains will consist of 10 coaches viz., eight General Second Class and Two Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.

New Zones and Divisions on Indian Railways

New Zones and Divisions on Indian Railways are set up keeping in view various factors like size, workload, accessibility, traffic pattern and other operational/administrative requirements, consistent with the needs of economy and efficiency. 

At present, there is no plan to set up new divisions on Indian Railways, except those with headquarters at Gulbarga, Jammu and Silchar, which were announced in February, 2014. In addition, a Committee of senior officers from Railways has also been constituted to examine the issue of setting up a new railway zone in the successor State of Andhra Pradesh, in terms of Item No.8 of Schedule 13 (Infrastructure) of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. 

Konkan Railway is not attached to any Zonal Railway. It is under the control of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, formed with the mandate of construction and operation of Konkan Railway. 

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Manoj Sinha in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.
