WESTERN RLY'S JUMBO BLOCK BETWEEN BORIVALI AND GOREGAON STATIONS ON SUNDAY,13TH SEPT, 2020
To carry outmaintenance work of tracks, signaling & overhead equipment, a major block of five hours will be taken on UP & DOWN Slow lines between Borivali and Goregaon from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs on Sunday, 13th September, 2020.
According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Rly, during the block period, all DOWN Slow line special suburban services will run on Fast line between Goregaon & Borivali stations. Similarly, all UP Slow line special suburban services will run on Fast lines between Borivali and Andheri stations. Hence, these services willnot halt at Ram Mandir station. Also, no trains will be dealt from Platform No. 1, 2, 3 & 4 at Borivali station. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.

WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN TWO TRIPS OF SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BORIVALI AND JAIPUR
To clear the extra rush in regular trains during the ongoing Diwali vacation and to ensure better convenience to the passengers, WesternRailway will run two trips of Special Train on Special Fare between Borivali and Jaipur, the details are as under:
●Train No. 09752 / 09751 Borivali – Jaipur Special Train on Special fare[02 trips]
- Train No. 09752 Borivali – Jaipur Special Train on Special Fare will depart from Borivali at 00.25 hrs on Tuesday and will arrive Jaipur at 22.00 hrs. on the same day. This train will run on 5th November, 2019. Similarly,
- Train No. 09751 Jaipur – Borivali Special Train on Special Fare will depart from Jaipur at 15.30 hrs on Sunday and will arrive Borivali at 14.30 hrs the next day (Monday). This train will run on 3rdNovember, 2019.
The train will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
The train will halt at Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Sabarmati, Mahesana Jn., Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Rani, Marwar Jn., Beawar, Ajmer Jn., Kishangarh and Phulera Jn. stations in both directions.
The booking for Train No. 09752 will be opened on 3rd November, 2019 at 12.00 hrsat all PRS counters and IRCTC website.

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling & overhead equipment, a day block will be taken from 11.00hrs to 15:00 hrs on Up and Down slow lines between Borivali and Bhayandar stations on Sunday, 25th March, 2018.
During the block all Up slow trains will run on Up fast line Ex Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali/Goregaon and all Virar bound Down slow trains will run on Dn fast line Ex Goregaon to Vasai Road/Virar. There will not be any originating/terminating suburban service from/upto Bhayandar station during the block period, but all passing suburban trains which have scheduled halt on Bhaynandar station, will stop at Bhayandar station.

A four hours jumbo block will be taken from 11:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on Sunday, 18th June, 2017 on Up & Dn slow lines between Borivali and Naigaon stations for maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipments. During the block all Up trains will run on Up fast line Ex- Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali/Goregaon and all down trains will run on down fast line Ex-Goregaon/Borivali to Vasai Road/Virar.
Due to this, some Up & Dn suburban trains will remain cancelled. The list of cancellation will be available with on duty Station Masters in suburban section. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.

MAJOR BLOCK OF 12 HOURS on DOWN SLOW LINES AT JOGESHWARI on 23rd APRIL, 2017
A 12 hours major block will be taken on Down slow line at Jogeshwari station from 00.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs on Sunday, 23rd April, 2017 by Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation in connection with Harbour extension work. During the block, Down slow line trains will be run on Down fast line between Andheri & Goregaon and will not halt at Ram Mandir for want of platform.
All Down fast trains of Dahanu Road/Virar/Vasai/Bhayander/ Borivali/Malad running fast between Andheri & Borivali will take additional halt at Jogeshwari except 15-car trains from 23/04/2017 to 7/05/2017.
All Down slow trains halting at Jogeshwari PF No.3 will not take double halt as platform will be available at East Side only. Due to the block, some local trains will remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations.

WESTERN RAILWAY TO INCREASE SUBURBAN
SERVICES TO 1322 W.E.F. 10TH OCTOBER, 2016
For the comfort and convenience of
passengers, Western Railway is introducing 8 new services on the suburban
section, 4 each in Up & Dn direction respectively. The additional services
on the Virar sector are being introduced by optimum utilization of existing
links. 10 services are also being extended viz. 4 in Up and 6 in Down
direction. These changes will come into effect from 10th October, 2016.
Due to major changes in the timings and introduction of new Mail/Express trains
in the new Main Line Time Table of Western Zone w.e.f. 1/10/2016, suitable
changes were necessary in the existing suburban time table. Accordingly 5
existing suburban services have been planned to be cancelled including 4
existing services in up direction and one existing service in down direction.
The reasons for reduction in these existing suburban services have been told as
to incorporate the 8 additional services as indicated in the tables as under.
Therefore, the number of daily average of total suburban services on Western
Railway will now increase from 1319 to 1322 including 110 harbour services, as
8 new services are being introduced, while 5 are being reduced.

As per some other changes, five
existing suburban services have been decided to be short terminated, while the
timings and the paths of some of the existing suburban services will also be
changed due to speeding up of existing Mail/ Express trains, to ease congestion
during peak hours, reduction of diversions, revision in the departure timings
of Mail/ Express trains and adjustments for additional suburban services.
Similarly as 19024 Firozpur Janta Express will be speeded up, the duration of its
halt at Borivali is reduced and its regulation at Andheri has been away with
and hence it will arrive at Mumbai Central at 19:35 hrs instead of 20:10
hours. To accommodate 19024 at Dadar, Train No. BO 90878 will be dealt on
Pf-6 instead of Pf-5
