Special Trains Between Madurai and Vijayawada
In order to clear extra rush of passengers two Special Trains will be run between Madurai and Vijayawada as detailed below:-
Madurai-Vijayawada Special Train:
Train No. 06069 Madurai - Vijayawada special train will depart Madurai at 17:50 hrs on 14th January, 2017 (Saturday) and arrive Vijayawada at 03:30 hrs on Monday.
Enroute, this special train will stop at Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil Town, Trivandrum, Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Renigunta, Sri Kalahasti, Venkatagiri, Gudur, Nellore, Kavali, ongole, Chirala, Bapatla, Nidubrolu and Tenali stations.
Vijayawada-Madurai Special Train:
Train No. 06070 Vijayawada-Madurai special train will depart Vijayawada at 07:00 hrs on 16th January, 2017 (Monday) and arrive Madurai at 01:00 hrs on Tuesday.
Enroute, this special train will stop at Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvatur, Villupuram, Vriddachalam, Tiruchchirappalli and Dindigul stations.
These special trains will consists of 17 Coaches viz., two AC III Tier, thirteen Sleeper Class and two Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN CHENNAI CENTRAL - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
The following superfast special trains will be run between Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Superfast special trains between Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram
Train No.06007 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 18.15 hrs. on 28.08.2014, Thursday and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 11.00 hrs. the next day.
Train No.06008 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 20.20 hrs. on 31.08.2014, Sunday and reach Chennai Central at 12.35 hrs. the next day.
The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 13 Sleeper Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam and Kollam.
Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 27.08.2014

SCR to run Two Premium Superfast Special Trains between Secunderabad and Kochuveli (Tiruvananthapuram) via Vijayawada for Onam – Reservations opened
South Central Railway will run two Premium Superfast Special trains between Secunderabad and Kochuveli (Tiruvananthapuram) via Vijayawada in order to clear extra rush of passengers for onam festival.
Accordingly, Train No. 07230 Secunderabad-Kochi (Kochuveli) Premium Superfast Special train will depart Secunderabad at 08:30 pm on 5thSeptember, 2014 (Friday) and arrive Kochuveli (Tiruvananthapuram) at 11:00 pm on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07229 Kochuveli - Secunderabad Superfast Premium Special train will depart Kochuveli (Tiruvananthapuram) at 08:30 pm on 7th September, 2014 (Sunday) and arrive Secunderabad at 11:15 pm on the next day.
These trains will have only five stoppages enroute viz., Warangal, Vijayawada, Thrisur, Ernakulam and Kollam. These trains will have 17 Coaches viz., one AC II Tier, two AC III Tier, eleven Sleeper Class, one Pantry Car and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van coaches.
Advance booking for this Premium train can be done online through IRCTC Portal on internet and have commenced at 8:00 am today i.e. 24th August, 2014.
The Unique features of ‘Premium’ train service are:
1) ‘Premium special train´ is a fully reserved service aimed to meet the heavy demand for Rail travel during busy season on popular routes. It is primarily targeted at that segment of passengers, who are willing to pay premium fare for confirmed berths at the time of booking itself availing enhanced standards of service.
2) The fare structure for this Premium Special Train is variable and follows a dynamic pricing model. The fare will also include catering charges.
3) The booking of tickets can be done only through IRCTC’s portal on internet. Tickets will not be issued manually at reservation counters. However, vacant berths available after charting will be offered at current day booking counters at the train originating stations.
4) Only confirmed tickets will be issued for Premium Trains. Waitlisted tickets will not be issued. There will be no refund except when the train is fully cancelled on railway account due to unforeseen circumstances. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be applicable to this train. Ticket modifications/issue of duplicate ticket etc., is not permitted.
