  • 01136 Daund – Bhusaval weekly special further extended to run o­n every Thursday from 5.8.2021 to 28.10.2021
  • 01135 Bhusaval – Daund weekly special further extended to run o­n every Thursday from 5.8.2021 to 28.10.2021
  • These extended trips will run o­n existing composition, timings and path etc.
  • Reservation: Bookings for the extended trips of 01135 and 01136 special trains o­n Normal fare will open from 31.7.2021 at all computerised reservation centres and o­n website www.irctc.co.in

ASHADIFAIRSPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN DAUND/NEW AMRAVATI / KHAMGAON / LATUR/ NAGPUR & MIRAJ-PANDHARPUR AND MIRAJ-KURDUWADI 

Central Railway will run 79 special trains between Daund/New Amravati/ Khamgaon/Latur/Nagpur/Miraj-Pandharpur and Miraj-Kurduwadi stations to clear the extra rush of pilgrims attendingAshadifairbeing held at Pandharpur. The details are as under:-  
(1) Daund-Pandharpur Unreserved Specials (16 Trips)
  • 01497 Dn Daund-Pandharpur unreserved Specials will leave Daund at 8.00 hrs o­n 2.7.2016 to 9.7.2016  (8 Trips) and will arrive Pandharpur at 13.00 hrs same day.
  • 01498 Up Pandharpur-Daund unreserved Specials will leave Pandharpur at 15.00 hrs o­n 2.7.2017 to   9.7.2017 (8 Trips) and will reach Daund at 19.00 hrs same day. 
  • Halts: Bhigwan, Parewadi, Jeur, Kurduwadi and Modlimb
  • Composition: 12 General Second Class coaches. 

(2) New Amravati/Khamgaon-Pandharpur Unreserved Specials (7 Trips) 
  • 01155 Dn New Amravati – Pandharpur unreserved Special will leave New Amravati at 14.00 hrs on 29.06.2017, 01.07.2017 and 02.07.2017and will arrive Pandharpur at 11.30 hrs next day.
  • 01156 Up Pandharpur – New Amravati unreserved Special will leave Pandharpur at 16.00 hrs on 29.06.2017, 30.06.2017, 05.07.2017 and 06.07.2017 and will reach New Amravati at 10.40 hrs next day. 
  • Halts: Badnera, Murtizapur, Akola, Shegaon, Jalamb, Nandura, Malkapur, Bodwad, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Pachora, Chalisgaon, Nandgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmednagar, Daund, Bhigvan, Jeur and Kurduwadi stations in both the directions. 
  • Khamgaon portion coaches will be attached/detached at Jalamb with train No. 01155 & 01156.
The Khamgaon portion will run as 01153 & 01154 between Khamgaon and Jalamb  and the timings will be as under - 
  • 01153 Dn Khamgaon-Jalamb Special will leave Khamgaon at 16.20 hrsand will arrive Jalamb at 17.00 same day.
  • 01154 Up Jalamb-Khamgaon Special will leave Jalamb at 08.20 hrs and will arrive Khamgaon at 08.40 hrs same day. 

Composition: These special trains will have 20 coaches including 18 General second Class  and 2 General second class cum guard’s brake vans.

Out of these 20 coaches 8 coaches including 7 General Second  and o­ne General second class cum guard’s brake van will run Ex New Amaravati and 12 coaches including 11 General second class and 1 General second class cum guard’s brake van will leave from Khamgaon. 

(3) Pandharpur-Kurduwadi Specials (6 Trips)
  • 01495 Dn Pandharpur-Kurduwadi Special will leave Pandharpur at 13.00 hrs o­n 30.06.2017, 01.07.2017, 07.07.2017 and 08.07.2017and will arrive Kurduwadi at 14.00 hrs same day. 
  • 01496 Up Kurduwadi-Pandharpur Special will leave Kurduwadi at 14.30 hrs on 30.06.2017, 01.07.2017, 07.07.2017 and 08.07.2017and will reach Pandharpur at 15.35 hrs same day. 
  • Halt: Modlimb
  • Composition: 7 General Second class, 2 sleeper class coaches and 2 General Second Class cum guard’s brake vans. 

(4) Latur- Pandharpur Specials (10 Trips) 
  • 01489 Dn Latur – Pandharpur Special will leave Latur at 07.45 hrs on 30.06.2017, 03.07.2017, 04.07.2017, 05.07.2017 and 07.07.2017and will arrive Pandharpur at 14.00 hrs same day.
  • 01490 Up Pandharpur – Latur Special will leave Pandharpur at 15.30 hrs on 30.06.2017, 03.07.2017, 04.07.2017, 05.07.2017 and 07.07.2017 and will reach Latur at 19.25 hrs same day. 
  • Halts: Ausa Road, Dhoki, Yedsi, Usmanabad, Pangri, Barsi Town, Shendri, Kurduwadi and Modlimb stations in both the directions. 
  • Composition : 8 Sleeper class, 4 General second class and 2 General second class cum Guard’s brake vans. 

(5) NAGPUR-PANDHARPUR FULLY RESERVED SPECIALS (4 Trips)
  • 01226 Special will leave Nagpur at 07.50 hrs on 01.7.2017 and 03.07.2017and will arrive Pandharpur at 04.10hrs next day.
  • 01225 Special will leave Pandharpur at 05.30 hrs on 02.7.2017 and 05.07.2017and will arrive Nagpur at 23.30 hrs same day. 
  • HALTS: Ajni, Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Chandur, Badnera, Murtijapur, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmednagar, Daund and Kurduwadi. 
  • COMPOSITION: o­ne 2 Tier AC, o­ne 3 Tier AC and 8 Sleeper Class. 

(6) MIRAJ-PANDHARPUR DEMU SPECIALS (18 Trips) (URESERVED)
  • 01493 DEMU Special will leave Miraj at 05.30 hrs on 01.07.2017 to 09.07.2017 (9 Trips)and will arrive Pandharpur at 08.20 hrs same day.
  • 01494 DEMU Special will leave Pandharpur at 09.40 hrs on 01.07.2017 to 09.07.2017 (9 Trips)and will arrive Miraj at 13.30 hrs same day. 
  • HALTS: Arag, Salagare, Kavathe Mahankal,Dhalgaon,  Jath Road, Mhasoba Dongargaon and Sangola
  • COMPOSITION: 12 DEMU coaches 

(7) MIRAJ- KURDUWADI DEMU SPECIALS (18 Trips) (URESERVED)
  • 01491 DEMU Special will leave Miraj at 14.40 hrs on 01.07.2017 to 09.07.2017       (9 Trips)and will arrive Kurduwadi at 20.00 hrs same day.
  • 01492 DEMU Special will leave Kurduwadi at 20.30 hrs on 01.07.2017 to 09.7.2017  ( 9 Trips)and will arrive Miraj at 00.45 hrs next day. 
  • HALTS: Arag, Salagare, Kavathe Mahankal, Dhalgaon, Jath Road, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Sangola Pandharpur and Modlimb
  • COMPOSITION: 12 DEMU coaches

Pune and Daund DEMU service starts on the newly commissioned Electrified section

PUNE: THE FIRST Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) service was inaugurated Saturday by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu through video linking from Kolhapur, where he attended a function. The service has been commenced following sustained demand for a local service between Pune and Daund.

The DEMU service between Pune and Daund will do two trips everyday. The first service Pune-Daund (71407) will leave Pune Station at 10.30 am reaching Daund at 12.35 pm, taking halts at Hadapsar, Manjari Budruk, Loni, Uruli Kanchan, Yavat, Khutbao, Kedgaon, Kadethan and Patas. The down service, Daund-Pune, will commence from Daund at 12.43 pm and will arrive at Pune Station at 2.13 pm. The other service Pune-Daund (70409) will depart from Pune Station at 2.20 pm and will reach Daund at 4 pm. Daund-Pune (70410) will start from Daund at 4.14 pm and will reach Pune Station at 6.15 pm taking the above mentioned route.

After being in pipeline for nearly half a decade, the work on electrification of the Pune-Daund section was completed in November 2016 after spending a total sum of Rs 167 crore. The Pune Division had received three rakes, each containing 10 coaches from the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai in second week of January and underwent multiple trial runs.The coaches are equipped with state of the art facilities with a capacity of 1,081 passengers. The rakes are also equipped with GPS based passenger information system.

The announced timings of the service, however, haven’t gone well with the rail user groups. Vikas Deshpande, a Daund resident and a member of Zonal Railway User Consultative Committee, said, “What we needed was an early service from Daund to Pune that students, office goers and businessmen could reach Pune in the early hours so that they have the entire day for work. In fact, we had communicated to the DRM and Zonal General Manager that the best option would be to start a service as early as 5 am so that passengers reach Pune at the right time. Another service in the evening at about 6 pm would help people to return to their respective places… The timings that have been announced are of no use at all.”

Electrification of Pune-Daund Rail Track stares at further delay

Pune: Passengers’ demand for direct local trains on Lonavla-Pune-Daund route may not be realised soon as the much-awaited Pune-Daund electrification project is unlikely to get over before June.

The electrification work was expected to get over by December 2015. However, when it did not, railway minister Suresh Prabhu assured its completion by March-end.

“Though preliminary works pertaining to the power sub-stations and safety checks of a high-tension wire are in final stages, it still take at least three months to complete the ongoing works, following which the trial runs will begin,” a source from the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), which has taken up the electrification work, said.

Besides the electrification of tracks, the administration will also take up many infrastructural works like increasing the height of platforms at many stations and setting up of running rooms for drivers and local trains.

The electrification of Pune-Daund section stands important as it would help in expanding the rail infrastructure around Pune for running of local trains between Lonavla and Daund. At present, local trains operate only on Pune-Lonavla electrified stretch with no direct train service on Lonavla-Pune-Daund route.

Officials at RVNL said if things go as per the plan, the electrification work will get over only by June or July.

As per a senior RVNL official, works of installing electric poles, laying of high-tension wire and commencement of power-sub stations each at Daund and Yavat are already over. “The ongoing works include safety checks of a high-tension wire in the entire stretch of about 70km. It is unlikely to get over before June,” the official said.
Divisional railway manager of Pune B K Dadabhoy said, “The project is vital for passengers in Pune division and even administration wants to complete it at earliest. Funds have already been sought for infrastructural works pertaining to upgradation of platforms and commencement running rooms.”

Meanwhile, MP Supriya Sule on Monday met Dadabhoy to discuss on-going electrification work on Pune-Daund track and suggested to expedite pending works while offering possible assistance at the level of railway board.

Central Railway will run a Special Train o­n Tatkal Fare between Daund and Patna as per details given below- 

02149 Special will leave Daund at 1750 hrs o­n 30.6.2015 and arrive Patna at 0030 hrs on 2.7.2015. 02150 Special will leave Patna at 0900 hrs on 2.7.2015 and arrive 
Daund at 1715 hrs on 3.7.2015 

Halts: Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Manikpur, Mughal Sarai 

Composition: o­ne AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class and 3 General Second Class 

Reservation: Bookings for the Special train on Tatkal Fare will open on 30.6.2015
