Computerised Reservation Offices over Kolkata and Howrah area operated in two shifts will function in only one shift from 08:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs on 23/10/2020 (Friday), 24/10/2020 (Saturday), 26/10/2020 (Monday) on the occasion of Durga Puja, 30/10/2020 (Friday) on the occasion of Lakshmi Puja and 14/11/2020 (Saturday) on the occasion Kali Puja.

WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN 156 TRIPS OF 12 MORE FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS TO VARIOUS DESTINATIONS DURING DUSSEHRA & DIWALI

To clear the rush during forthcoming Dussehra & Diwali festivals, and to ensure better convenience to the passengers, Western Railway has planned 156 services of 12 more pairs of festival special trains.
According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the 12 pairs of festival special trains will be running to various destinations for the benefit of passengers. Out of these 12 pairs of special trains, five pairs of trains will run from Bandra Terminus, Two pairs from Indore, Two pairs from Udhna and one pair each from Okha, Porbandar and Gandhidham stations. All the trains will run as Special train on Special fare. Details ofthe trains are as under :-
1) Train No 09271/09272 Bandra Terminus – Patna Superfast Festival Special (Weekly) {12 trips}
Train No. 09271 Bandra (T) - Patna Special train will depart from Bandra (T) at 16.35 hrs every Monday and will reach Patna at 02.05 hrs on Wednesday. This train will run from 26th Octto 30th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 09272 Patna - Bandra (T) Special train will depart from Patna at 23.10 hrs every Wednesday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 07.35 hrs on Friday. This train will run from 28th Octto 2nd Dec, 2020. Enroute, this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Bhestan, Nandurbar, Bhusaval Jn, Itarsi Jn, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Jn stations in both directions. The train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond class seating coaches.
2) Train No 02913/02914 Bandra Terminus – Saharsa Jn Humsafar Festival Special (Weekly) {12 trips}
Train No. 02913 Bandra (T) – Saharsa Jn Special train will depart from Bandra (T) at 12.55 hrs every Sunday and will reach Saharsa Jn at 03.55 hrs on Tuesday. This train will run from 25th Octto 29th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 02914 Saharsa Jn - Bandra (T) Special train will depart from Saharsa Jn at 16.45 hrs every Tuesday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 07.35 hrs on Thursday. This train will run from 27thOctto 1st Dec, 2020. Enroute, this train will halt at Vapi, Valsad, Bhestan, Nandurbar, Bhusaval Jn, Itarsi Jn, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Jn, Patna, Begu Sarai and Khagaria Jn stations in both directions. The train comprises ofAC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andPantry Car coaches.

Train No 02929 Bandra Terminus - Jaisalmer special will depart Bandra (T)every Friday at 14.35 hrs, & will reach Jaisalmer at 12.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 23rd Oct to 27th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No 02930 Jaisalmer – Bandra (T) special will leave Jaisalmer every Saturday at 19.20 hrs & willarrive Bandra (T) at 17.30 hrs the next day. This train will run from 24th Oct to 28th Nov, 2020. This train will run from 24th Oct to 28th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No 09028 Jammu Tawi – Bandra (T) special will leave Jammu Tawi every Monday at 09.30 hrs & willarrive Bandra (T) at 22.25 hrs the next day. This train will run from 26th Oct to 30th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No 09018 Haridwar – Bandra (T) special will leave Haridwar every Thursday at 18.30 hrs & willarrive Bandra (T) at 22.00 hrs the next day. This train will run from 22nd Oct to 26th Nov, 2020. Similarly, Train No 09452 Bhagalpur - Gandhidham special will leave Bhagalpur every Monday at 06.30 hrs & will reach Gandhidham at 08.00 hrs on Wednesday. This train will run from 26th Oct to 30thNov, 2020. Enroute this train will halt at Bhachau, Samakhiali, Dhrangadhra, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Dahod, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bayana, Bharatpur, Achnera, Mathura Jn, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda Jn, Basti, Gorakhpur, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudam Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni Jn, Begusarai, Monghyr and Sultanganj stations in both directions. The booking of Train No. 09017 will open from 17th October, 2020. Booking for Train No 09313 and 09205 will open from 18th October, 2020. Booking for Train No 02929, 09027, 09321, 09057 and 09451 will open from 20th October, 2020. Booking for Train No 09271, 02913, 02905 and 09019 will open from 22ndOctober, 2020 at nominated PRS counters and on IRCTC website. All the above trains will run as fully reserved trains.
With regard to special trains notified earlier, it has now been decided to provide additional halts to the following trains for the benefit of passengers:-
·Train No 001125/01126 Ratlam- Gwalior special Express at Barnagar station from Ratlam JCO on 18.10.2020 and from Gwalior JCO on 19.10.2020.
·Train No 02125/02126 Ratlam- Bhind special Express at Barnagar station from Ratlam JCO on 20.10.2020 and from Bhind JCO on 18.10.2020.
·Train No 01463/01464 Somnath – Jabalpur special Express at Khachrod station from Somnath JCO on 18.10.2020 and from Jabalpur JCO on 18.10.2020.
·Train No. 01465/01466 Somnath – Jabalpur special Express trains at Khachrod station from Somnath JCO on 19.10.2020 and from Jabalpur JCO on 19.10.2020.
·Train No. 09165/09166 Ahmedabad – Darbhanga special Express at Tarana Road station from Ahmedabad JCO on 18.10.2020 and from Darbhanga JCO on 19.10.2020.

Enroute, this train will stop at Kottavalasa, Simhachalam, Duvvada, Anakapalle, Elamanchili, Narsipatnam Rd, Tuni, Annavaram, Pathapuram, Samalkot, Anaparti, Dwarapudi, Rajahmundry, Kovvur, Nidadavolu, Tadepalligudem, Eluru and Nuzvid stations.
3.Vijayawada - Vizianagaram – Vijayawada MEMU Special Train:
Train No. 07772 Vijayawada – Vizianagaram special train will depart Vijayawada at 21:10 hrs on 18th October, 2018 and arrive Vizianagaram at 07:20 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07771 Vizianagaram – Vijayawada special train will depart Vizianagaram at 07:45 hrs on 19th October, 2018 and arrive Vijayawada on 16:30 hrs.
Enroute, this train will stop at Nizvid, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Kovvuru, Rajahmundry, Dwarapudi, Anaparti, Samalkot, Pithapuram, Annavaram, Tuni, Narsipatnam Rd, Elamanchili, Anakapalle, Duvvada, Simhachalam and Kottavalasa stations.
4.Vijayawada - Tirupati Special Train:

Enroute, this train will stop at Khurda Rd, Balugan, Berhampur, Palasa, Srikakulam Rd, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore East stations.

WESTERN RAILWAY’s DUSSHERA GIFT TO MUMBAIKARS INTRODUCTION OF 32 NEW SUBURBAN SERVICESINCREASE IN 15 CAR SERVICES FROM 42TO 54
W.E.F. 1st October, 2017
For the comfort and convenience of passengers, Western Railway
is introducing 32 new serviceson the suburban section. Shri Piyush
Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Railways & Coal, will be releasing the new
suburban timetable on 29th September 2017 at a function to be
held in Mumbai. Increase in additional services will be effective from 1st October
2017 and includes, 17 services in UP direction & 15 services in DOWN
direction, with no reduction in existing services. 04 additional services
introduced in morning peak hours and 03 additional services introduced in
evening peak hours. 9 services have been worked on the 5thline
between Andheri – Borivali. one 12 car rake will be augmented to 15 car,
taking the total no of 15 car services to 54 from 42, which will be running on
Sundays also. 04 services are also being extended viz. 1 in Up and 3 in Down
direction. Due to the above, there will be changes in the pattern of running of
21 services & 14 services will be speeded up i.e 07 UP direction
& 07 DOWN direction. Therefore, with these changes, the number of daily
average of total suburban services on Western Railway will now increase
from 1323 to 1355 including 110 harbour
services, the details of which are detailed as under:

§CHANGES IN PATTERN OF
RUNNING
·The mode of 16 Churchgate
bound (UP direction) trains & 5 Borivali / Virar bound (DOWN direction)
trains have been changed. There will be a change in the running pattern of
these trains regarding stoppages and working as fast/slow train.
·Two Malad services and 4
Goregaon services will now run fast upto Andheri in morning peak hours.
§SERVICES EXTENDED
·Malad – Churchgate (Fast
local) departing from Malad at 17.34 hrs will now depart from Borivali at 17.27
hrs (Fast local) and reach Churchgate at 18.16 hrs.
·Churchgate - Bhayandar
(Fast local) departing from Churchgate at 12.13 hrs, extended upto Virar and
will reach Virar at 13.36 hrs.
·Andheri – Virar (Slow
local) departing from Andheri at 20.26 hrs will now depart from Bandra at 20.12
hrs (Slow) and reach Virar at 21.25 hrs.
·Churchgate – Andheri
(Slow local) departing from Churchgate at 19.54 hrs, extended upto Borivali and
will reach Borivali at 21.02 hrs.
§CHANGES IN SCHEDULE
·The timings of Train No.
19215 Saurashtra Express at Borivali will change from 09.02/09.06 hrs to
09.02/09.05 hrs and at Virar from 09.40/09.42 hrs to 09.38/09.40 hrs.
·The scheduled departure
of Train No.19029 Bandra Terminus – Mahuva Jn. is postponed from 11.35 hrs to
11.45 hrs.
·The timings of Train No.
14707 Ranakpur Express at Borivali will change from 08.40/08.44 hrs to
08.50/08.54 hrs with no change in arrival timing at Bandra Terminus.
·The timings of Train No.
12954 August Kranti Rajdhani Express at Borivali will change from 08.52/08.54
hrs to 08.56/08.58 hrs and at Andheri from 09.10/09.12 hrs to 09.12/09.14 hrs
with no change in arrival timing at Mumbai Central.
·The timings of Train No.
59023 Valsad Fast Passenger at Dadar will change from 18.21/18.23 hrs to
18.23/18.25 hrs & will be dealt from Platform No. 5 and the timings at
Borivali from 18.53/18.55 hrs to 18.55/18.57hrs.
