Swift Action by RPF Rescues Minor Girl Child
Swift action taken by the personnel of Railway Protection Force (RPF), South Central Railway led to the rescue of a minor girl child who went missing from Secunderabad Railway Station.
The incident occurred when RPF personnel at Secunderabad Railway Station were approached and reported regarding missing of a minor girl child by her parents at Secunderabad Railway Station on 18th September 2015. The RPF personnel swung into action and searched the railway station premises and scanned the Closed Circuit Television’s (CCTV) footage at Secunderabad Railway Station the same day and found that the girl had boarded Narasapur Express by mistake. By that time the train was about to reach Vijayawada Railway Station.
Acting immediately, the RPF personnel of Secunderabad informed the matter to their counterparts at Vijayawada who were able to locate and rescue the girl on arrival of the train at Vijayawada in the early hours next day i.e. 19th September 2015. The girl was kept in the safe custody of CHILDLINE, Vijayawada. Later, the girl was handed over to the parents who rushed to Vijayawada on receipt of information
