CHANGES IN PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICES

Due to line block to facilitate engineering works in connection with the commissioning of Tiruchchirappalli – Manaparai double line section in Madurai Division, the following changes will be made in the pattern of train services.

A.Diversion of train services

1.Train No.16127/16128 Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore express trains will be diverted via Tiruchchirappalli, Karur and Dindigul on 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st March and 01st April, 2016.
2.Train No.16352 Nagercoil – CST Mumbai express will be diverted via Dindigul, Karur and Tiruchchirappalli on 31.03.2016.
3.Train No.16129 Chennai Egmore – Tuticorin Link express will have a late start at Vanchi Maniyachchi junction on 28th, 29th, 30th, 31stMarch & 01st April, 2016.
4.Train No.16354 Nagercoil – Kacheguda express will be diverted via Dindigul and Karur on 29.03.2016.
5.Train No.16790 Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra – Tirunelveli express and Train No.16353 Kacheguda – Nagercoil express will be diverted via Karur and Dindigul on 31.03.2016.

B.Partial cancellation of train services

1.Train No.56822/56821 Tirunelveli – Mayiladuthurai passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Dindigul – Tiruchchirappalli on 28th, 29th, 30th& 31st March, 2016.
2.Train No.56712/56713 Palakkad Town – Tiruchchirappalli – Palakkad Town passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli – Tiruchchirappalli Fort on 01.04.2016.
3.Train No.12084/12083 Coimbatore – Mayiladuthurai – Coimbatore Jan Shatabdi express trains will be partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli Fort – Mayiladuthurai on 01.04.2016.
4.Train No.76851 Nagore – Tiruchchirappalli passenger train will be partially cancelled between Golden Rock – Tiruchchirappalli on 01.04.2016.
5.Train No.76842 Tiruchchirappalli – Cuddalore Port Jn. passenger train will be partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli – Golden Rock on 01.04.2016.
6.Train No.76841 Cuddalore Port Jn. – Tiruchchirappalli passenger train will be partially cancelled between Golden Rock – Tiruchchirappalli on 01.04.2016.
7.Train No.56844 Tiruchchirappalli – Erode passenger train will be partially cancelled between Karur – Tiruchchirappalli on 01.04.2016.

C.Full cancellation of train services

1.Train No.76833 Tiruchchirappalli – Karur passenger train will be fully cancelled on 01.04.2016.
2.Train No.16233/16234 Mayiladuthurai – Tiruchchirappalli – Mayiladuthurai express trains will be fully cancelled on 01.04.2016.
3.Train No.76840/76839 Karaikkudi – Tiruchchirappalli – Karaikkudi passenger trains will be fully cancelled on 01.04.2016.
4.Train No.56822/56821 Tirunelveli – Mayiladuthurai – Tirunelveli passenger trains will be fully cancelled on 01.04.2016.
D.Rescheduling of train service
·Train No.56703 Tiruchchirappalli – Dindigul passenger train will be rescheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli at 19.00 hrs. on 01.04.2016.

Southern Railway Regulation of Train Services on July 21.

Southern Railway has announced regulation of train services on July 21 for six hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to facilitate construction of a limited use subway between Manapparai and Chettiapatti in Tiruchi–Dindigul section. 



  • The Tirunelveli–Mayiladuthurai passenger (56822) will be partially cancelled between Dindigul and Tiruchi and will return from Dindigul as train no. 56821 to Tirunelveli. 
  • The Mayiladuthurai–Tirunelveli passenger (56821) will be partially cancelled between Tiruchi and Dindigul and will return from Tiruchi to Mayiladuthurai as train no. 56822. 
  • The Guruvayur–Chennai Egmore Express will be regulated and delayed at Dindigul for 85 minutes and arrive late at Tiruchi. 
  • The Chennai Egmore–Guruvayur Express will be regulated and delayed at Kolatur for 43 minutes.

  • The Nagercoil- Kacheguda Weekly Express will be regulated and delayed at Dindigul for 35 minutes, a Southern Railway release here said.

On July 21 for six hours from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m.
