MRTS SERVICES TO RUN AS PER SCHEDULE ON 07TH AUGUST, 2016
It had been announced earlier that 25 MRTS services from Chennai Beach to Velachery and 25 MRTS services from Velachery to Chennai Beach would be cancelled on 07thAugust, 2016 due to line block to facilitate engineering works between Chennai Beach – Velachery.
Now, in view of the UPSC examinations on 07.08.2016, the line block has been cancelled.Considering that the UPSC is conducting the Civil Services Preliminary Examination on 07.08.2016 at various locations in Chennai and cancellation of MRTS services on that day would inconvenience the Civil Services aspirants and others, the line block is cancelled.
Hence, the MRTS services will be run as per schedule between Chennai Beach – Velachery on 07th August, 2016.
