Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Honble Minister of Railways to Flag Off Visakhapatnam - New Delhi AC AP Express Tomorrow

The Ministry of Railways had announced the introduction of New Delhi – Vijayawada Air Conditioned (AC) AP Express (Daily) in the Railway Budget 2014-15. Further to this, it has now been decided to initially introduce this train as Train Nos. 22415/22416 Visakhapatnam – New Delhi – Visakhapatnam AC AP Express as a Tri-Weekly service via Vijayawada commencing from tomorrow i.e. 12thAugust 2015.

Accordingly, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Honble Minister of Railways will Flag off the inaugural Train Service i.e. Train No. 22415 Vinewsakhapatnam – New Delhi AC AP Express through Remote Link from Rail Bhavan, New Delhi at 09:00 hrs tomorrow i.e. 12th August, 2015.

Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Union Minister for Urban Development; Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Hon’ble Minister for Civil Aviation; Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment and Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways will grace the occasion at Rail Bhavan, New Delhi.

Shri  K. Hari Babu, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Visakhapatnam; Shri Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Human Resources Development & Shri Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, Hon’ble Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural and Water Supply, Andhra Pradesh will grace the inaugural function at Visakhapatnam.

A host of other dignitaries including Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly will be present o­n the occasion at New Delhi and Visakhapatnam.

Schedule of Inaugural Train service (12thAugust, 2015) :-

Train No.22415 Visakhapatnam – New Delhi AC AP Express will depart Visakhapatnam at 09:00 hrs tomorrow i.e. o­n 12th August, 2015, arrive/depart Vijayawada at 15:15/15:35 hrs and arrive New Delhi at 21:00 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, the train will also arrive/depart Duvvada at 09:30/09:32 hrs, Anakapalli at 09:50/09:52 hrs, Samalkot at11:18/11:20 hrs, Rajahmundry at 12:05/12:07 hrs, Tadepalligudem at 12:55/12:57 hrs, Eluru at 13:40/13:42 hrs, Vijayawada at 15:15/15:35 hrs,Khammam at 16:44/16:45 hrs, Warangal at 18:25/18:27 hrs, Peddapalli at 19:25/19:26 hrs, Ramagundam at 19:38/19:39 hrs, Sirpurkaghaznagar at 20:45/20:46 hrs, Balharshah at 22:35/22:40, Chandrapur at 22:59/23:00 hrs, Nagpur at 01:50/02:00 hrs o­n the next day, Itarsi at 06:45/06:50 hrs, Bhopal at 08:50/08:55 hrs, Jhansi at 14:20/14:25 hrs, Gwalior at 15:35/15:40 hrs and Agra Cantt at 17:35/17:40 hrs.

The train will comprise of 16 Coaches viz., o­ne First AC, five AC II tier, seven AC III tier, o­ne Pantry Car and two Power Car Coaches.

Train No.22415 Visakhapatnam – New Delhi Tri-Weekly AC AP Express will depart Visakhapatnam o­n Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 07:45 hrs and arrive New Delhi at 19:00 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, the train will arrive/depart Agra Cantt at 09:35/09:40 hrs, Gwalior at 12:25/12:30 hrs, Jhansi at 14:10/14:20 hrs, Bhopal at 19:50/19:55 hrs, Itarsi at 20:20/20:25 hrs, Nagpur at 00:30/00:40 hrs o­n the next day, Chandrapur at 03:21/03:24 hrs, Balharshah at 04:55/05:05 hrs, Sirpurkaghaznagar at 05:45/05:46 hrs, Ramagundam at 06:40/06:41 hrs, Peddapalli at 06:53/06:54 hrs, Warangal at 08:00/08:02 hrs, Khammam at 09:45/09:46 hrs, Vijayawada at 12:10/12:30 hrs, Eluru at 13:30/13:32 hrs, Tadepalligudem at 14:12/14:14 hrs, Rajahmundry at 15:00/15:02 hrs, Samalkot at 15:48/15:50 hrs, Anakapalli at 17:48/17:50 hrs and Duvvada at 18:13/18:15 hrs.
