HALF DAY FUNCTIONING OF RESERVATION CENTRES o­n 25.8.2017
On account of GANESH CHATURTHI the Computerised Reservation Centres (PRSCentres) of Central Railway will remain closed in second shift. i.e. 14.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs o­n 25.8.2017. However, few counters will remain open in each division for emergencyworkingfor the convenience of the passengers.

CHANGES IN PATTERN OF SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICES & SUNDAY PATTERN OF SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICES ON THE DAY OF VINAYAKA CHATURTHI FESTIVAL

I. CHANGES IN PATTERN OF SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICES

Due to line block to facilitate engineering works between Pattabiram East – Pattabiram West railway stations in Chennai – Arakkonam section, the following changes will be made in the pattern of suburban train services.

Train No.43257 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 23.40 hrs. will not stop at Hindu College and Pattabiram railway stations on 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd& 23rd September, 2015.

Train No.43891 Avadi – Pattabiram E Depot EMU local scheduled to leave Avadi at 02.55 hrs. will not stop at Hindu College on 16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th September, 2015.

II. SUNDAY PATTERN OF SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICES ON THE DAY OF VINAYAKA CHATURTHI FESTIVAL

In view of holiday on the day of Vinayaka Chaturthi festival on 17.09.2015, Thursday, Sunday pattern of suburban train services will be maintained in Chennai Beach – Tambaram – Chengalpattu & Chennai Beach – Velachery sections on that day.

Moreover, the ladies special services running in Arakkonam – Velachery – Arakkonam section will not run on 17.09.2015.

SPECIAL TRAINS

The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of traffic during Vinayaga Chathurthi festival.

1.  Superfast special trains between Chennai Central – Ernakulam Jn.

Train No.06084 Chennai Central – Ernakulam Jn. superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 18.15 hrs. on 16.09.2015 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 06.50 hrs. the next day.

Train No.06085 Ernakulam Jn. – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 19.00 hrs. on 17.09.2015 and reach Chennai Central at 07.15 hrs. the next day.

Composition:  AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Stoppages:  Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur and Aluva.

Train No.06084 Chennai Central – Ernakulam Jn. superfast special train will stop at Ernakulam Town also.

Train No.06085 Ernakulam Jn. – Chennai Central superfast special train will stop at Perambur also.


2.  Special train from Chennai Egmore to Tirunelveli (via Main Line)

Train No.06086 Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 22.45 hrs. on 16.09.2015 and reach Tirunelveli at 12.30 hrs. the next day.

Composition:  AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Stoppages:  Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Kovilpatti.


3.  Superfast special train from Tirunelveli to Chennai Egmore (via Chord Line)

Train No.06087 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore superfast special train will leave Tirunelveli at 21.15 hrs. on 17.09.2015 and reach Chennai Egmore at 09.00 hrs. the next day.

Composition:  AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Stoppages:  Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli Vridhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
