CHANGE IN TIMINGS OF 3 ANDHERI SERVICES
With an aim to decongest platform no 8/9 at Andheri station during the morning peak hours, the timings of three trains originating/terminating/passing Andheri station has been changed. The below changes will be effective from 25th June 2018
  • Train No 92012 departing Vasai Rd at 7.43 hrs will now leave at 7.40 hrs to arrive Andheri station at 8.21 hrs instead of 8.28 hrs.
  • Train No 92013 departing Andheri station at 8.35 hrs will now leave at 8.27
  • hrs to reach Virar station at 9.22 hrs instead of 9.31 hrs.
  • Train No 92011 departing Churchgate station at 8.00 hrs will now leave at 8.04 hrs to reach Virar station at 9.32 hrs instead of 9.22 hrs.

Delhi Metro to increase Trains Frequency during off-peak Hours

New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will now increase the frequency of trains during off peak hours in the national capital. Twenty additional trains will be added to existing fleet which will run between 11 am and 4:30 pm. The average frequency on various lines during off peak hours will be:

Line-1 (Red Line)
Dilshad Garden to Rithala

4 min 06 sec

Line-2 (Yellow Line)
HUDA City Centre to Jahangirpuri
3 min 24 sec
2 min 45 sec

Line-3/4 (Blue Line)
Dwarka Sec-21 to NOIDA City Centre/Vaishali
2 min 52 sec
2 min 47 sec

Line-6 (Violet Line)
ITO to Badarpur
5 min
4 min 12 sec

Western Railway fails to commission new line, left red-faced

Western Railway authorities were left embarrassed and short of answers on Monday after they failed to commission the newly-constructed fifth line link between Bandra and Santa Cruz due to the protest on Sunday by residents of shanties through which the line passes. 


The stretch of track is the missing link of the fifth line — also called the Suburban Track Avoidance line — that runs between Mumbai Central and Borivli and is used in both directions by long-distance trains. This missing link will ensure that long-distance trains don't come onto the fast tracks between Bandra and Santa Cruz and hit the punctuality schedules of suburban trains during the peak hours.
