IRCTC Introduces Cab, Porter Services
HYDERABAD: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced cab and porter services in Secunderabad, Kacheguda, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Guntur and Vijayawada railway stations. Passengers can avail these services through www.irctctourism.com.
Passengers going to Tirupati can avail cab services to Tirumala, Srikalahasti, Kanipakam and other surrounding places through IRCTC. For small car segment upto 0-10 km, the charges would be Rs 165, 10-20 km (Rs 330), 20-30 km (Rs 495) and 30-40 km (Rs 660). For medium car, upto 0-10 km, the charges will be Rs 200, 10-20 km (Rs 400), 20-30 km (Rs 595) and 30-40 km (Rs 795).
Cab services at Tirupati Railway Stations : Zone-A (4 hours, 40 km), Tirupati Railway Station to hotel in Tirupati and surrounding places. Rs 660 for Indica, Rs 1,100 for Qualis and Rs 1,430 for Tempo Traveller.Zone-B (8 hours 80 km), Tirupati railway station to hotel in Tirupati. Tirupati to Tirumala and back to Tirupati and temples in Tirupati to hotel in Tirupati and temples & surrounding places in Tirupati (Rs 1,540, Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,420) Zone-C (12 hours 120 km, Tirupati railway station to hotel in Tirupati. Tirupati to Tirumala and back and temples in Tirupati or Tirupati to Srikalahasti or Kanipakam and temples in Tirupati (Rs 2,145, Rs 2,640 and Rs 3,630).
An additional Rs 70 extra per hour, Rs 9 extra for Indica, additional Rs 120 extra per hour, Rs 12 extra per for Qualis and additional Rs 100 extra per hour, Rs 16 extra for Tempo Traveller would be charged.
e-catering to be Extended to 30 More Stations
(IRCTC) now has a variety of menus offered by popular food outlets in select stations. To know more, visit their website www.ecatering.irctc.co.in. This facility is now available in Secunderabad, Vijayawada and Tirupati stations, and would be extended to another 30 stations. Popular food outlets viz. Dominos Pizza, Sandarshini, Hello Curry, Arya Bhavan, Bhimas, Sindhuri park, and IRCTC food plazas are presently delivering meals through e-catering. Once ordered, the food would be delivered at passenger’s seat in select stations. Amount can be prepaid while booking or by Cash On Delivery.
