Nossam-Banganapalli Section of Nandyal-Yerraguntla New Railway Line Project opened for Goods Traffic

The Nossam - Banaganapalli Section (a length of 45.30 kms) of the Nandyal - Yerraguntla New Railway Line Project has been opened for Goods Traffic from 23rdJanuary, 2016.
Nandyal – Yerraguntla New Railway Line Project was sanctioned for a distance of 123 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 843 crores and the work for this Project has been taken up in 3 Phases. Phase-I of the project includes a distance of 47.2 kms between Yerraguntla–Nossam section. The same has been completed and opened for Goods traffic in October 2012.
Phase-II works between Nossam - Banganapalli, a distance of 45.3 kms is now completed and opened for Goods traffic from 23rdJanuary, 2016.The left over distance of 30.5 kms between Banganpalli - Nandyal has been taken up in Phase-III and the works are progressing at a fast pace.
