MoSR SHRI MANOJ SINHA REVIEWED THE PERFORMANCE OF EAST COAST RAILWAY

Minister of State for Railways Shri Manoj Sinha o­n his visit to East Coast Railway today morning reviewed the Performance and progress of o­ngoing Railway Projects with General Manager, East Coast Railway Shri Rajiv Vishnoi and other Principal Heads of the Departments of Railways at Rail Sadan, Bhubaneswar in presence of Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt of India.

The following are the highlights of the Meeting:___

01.The Hon’ble Minister expressed happiness with the working of East Coast Railway and with the Progress of Projects- All works o­n projects going o­n as per target.

02.Odisha o­n top priority and o­n top focus of Ministry of Railways.

03.Unconnected areas of Odisha will be given priority in linking.

04.All New Projects to be expedited with early tendering.

05.Focus o­n Passenger Amenities: Keeping in mind aspirations of local people.

06. He advised ECoR to prepare a roadmap for next 25 years’ Industrial progress of Odisha.

07.Connectivity to the Ports should be improved.

08.Talcher-Bimalagarh new line works to be expedited.

09.There will be sufficient allocation of funds and funds for projects will not be a problem.

10.Demands for new trains will be examined positively.
