4th Meeting of “Kayakalp” (Innovation Council of Indian Railways) held 

In its 4th Meeting held in New Delhi today, the 6th November, 2015, under the Chairmanship of Shri Ratan Tata, “Kayakalp” (Innovation Council of Indian Railways) discussed safety issues and attempted to identify the causes for accidents on account of manual failures. 

The Council looked at approaches towards achieving greater hygiene and cleanliness on railway facilities such as stations. 

The Council also examined customer focus of the Indian Railways at present and ways to make the organization more customer friendly. All Members agreed on Railways’ need to address customer needs in a more visible and effective manner.
