Western Railway RPF drive
Western.Railway RPF TEAMS CONDUCTS SPECIAL DRIVES
During the ongoing 'Rail Yatri Upbhokta Pakhwada' being observed on Western Railway, the Railway Protection Force conducted extensive special drives in which 61 special RPF Teams conducted checks at stations and in trains.
As a result of these drives, held on 30th and 31st May, 2015 total 613 persons were arrested and prosecuted under different sections of Railways Act including 142 unauthorised travelers in ladies & handicapped coaches. Besides, 294 unauthorised hawkers, 131 anti social elements and 8 eunuchs & urchins were also arrested and prosecuted. The special team also nabbed 6 touts and prosecuted them. An amount of Rs. 34,500/- were realized as fine. During the drive, RPF team also took feedback from the passengers on safety related issues and to use RPF Helpline No. 182.
