 Restoration of Mumbai - Nagpur Duronto Special

 Central Railway has decided to restore the services of Train No. 02189 / 02190 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Nagpur Duronto special services as per details given below –

  • Train no 02189 CSMT- Nagpur Duronto special restored to run from 16.6.2021 to till further advice.
  • Train no 02190 Nagpur - CSMT Duronto special restored to run from 15.6.2021 to till further advice.

 Reservation: Bookings for fully reserved restored trips of 02189 and 02190 Duronto special o­n flexi fare is already open at all computerised reservation centers and o­n Website  www.irctc.co.in.

For detailed halts and timings please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or download NTES App.

Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these special trains.

Passengers are advised to adhere all norms, SOPs related to COVID19 during the boarding, travel and at destination.

SCR to run two “Doodh Duronto Special” trains between Renigunta - H. Nizamuddin - Renigunta

In its continuous effort to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities during the Nationwide Lockdown imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19, South Central Railway is operating both freight and parcel trains to ensure transportation of necessary items to all parts of the country, though passenger train services have been suspended till 03rd May, 2020.
As part of this, two “Doodh Duronto Special” trains (Railway Milk Tankers) will be run between Renigunta to Nation’s Capital, Delhi (H. Nizamuddin). This train consists of 6 Milk tankers.
Train No. 00761 Renigunta - H. Nizamuddin Doodh Duronto Special Parcel Express will depart Renigunta o­n 20th April, 2020. In the return direction, Train No. 00762 H. Nizamuddin - Renigunta will depart H. Nizamuddin o­n 22thApril, 2020.

Project Utkridht: Indian Railways Launched to Upgrade the trains with in this Financial Year

UPGRADATION OF HOWRAH-YESVANTPUR DURONTO EXPRESS UNDER PROJECT “UTKRISHT”
Kolkata, 2nd February, 2019
In order to improve the condition of coaches running in Mail/ Express trains, Indian Railways launched “Project Utkrisht” in April, 2018 to upgrade 66 pairs of trains comprising of 140 rakes.
The first Upgraded rake of 12245/12246 Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express under “Project Utkrisht” left Howrah for Yesvantpur yesterday (01-02-2019) morning. The upgradation work of remaining two rakes of Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express will also be completed within this financial year. The estimated cost of upgradation of each rake is Rs.60 lakh.
This is the second train which is upgraded as “Utkrisht” in South Eastern Railway. Earlier, in the month of December, 2018, the upgradation work of o­ne rake of 22213/22214 Shalimar-Patna Duronto Express was completed and put into service o­n 24-12-2018. Two rakes of 22891/22892 Howrah-Ranchi Intercity Express will also be upgraded under the “Project Utkrisht” very soon.

·Inside coach indication board
·Retro reflective outside destination board
·Foldable stainless steel snack table in first AC coaches
·Holding brackets for mobile phone charging
·Printed fire resistance curtains in AC Coaches
·Modified design of upper berth climbing ladder in First AC Coach etc.

Duranto Express to have Commercial Halts

The following Duranto Express will be provided with Commercial Halts.As such, reservation for journeys starting from 1.1.2016 (bookings for which opens o­n 3.9.2015) has been suspended for implementation of the commercial halts and will not be available o­n internet and at reservation centres.The date of opening of bookings for these Duranto Express trains with commercial halts will be notified later.
