METRO INTENSIFIES PASSENGER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

In the wake of the 2nd wave of Covid Pandemic, Metro Railway Authorities have taken up all possible steps to tackle this pandemic as well as make passengers aware about the deadly nature of this disease and how to stop the spread of this disease.  ‘No Mask, No Metro’ campaign has been going o­n since the resumption of Metro services and passengers have responded positively to make this campaign successful.

Audio & Audio visual campaigns have also been going o­n at Metro stations and in trains in order to make more people aware about the Covid Appropriate Behaviour.  RPF personnel, Traffic Inspectors, Station Staff have been regularly interacting with Metro commuters as well as requesting them to wear mask properly and maintain social distancing in Metro premises.

Metro staff are not allowing passengers without mask or not properly wearing the masks to enter any station.

‘No Mask, No Metro’ pamphlets are being distributed from Smart Card Counters to Metro Commuters.  It has also been decided to impose a fine of Rs. 200/- o­n erring commuters who will be found traveling in the Metro without masks or not properly wearing masks in the Metro premises.
