WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN 6 PAIRS OF SPECIAL TRAINS AND 2 PAIRS OF UPSC EXAM SPECIALS

WR Press Release No 2020/10 Mumbai,1st October, 2020

For the convenience of passengers, it has been decided to run 6 pairs of special trains. Western Railway will also run two pairs of exam special trains for the benefit of those appearing for the UPSC Civil service exam.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, 6 pairs of special trains will run till further notice and 2 pairs of special trains for UPSC exams. The 6 pairs ofspecial trains will run between Bandra Terminus – Jhansi, Bandra Terminus - Kanpur Central, Ratlam – Gwalior, Ratlam – Bhind, Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt and Ahmedabad – Gwalior. The 2 exam special trains to be run for aspirants of UPSC civil service exams are between Somnath – Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar – Ahmedabad. Details of the trains are as under :-

Train No 01104/03 Bandra Terminus – Jhansi Bi-weekly Special Express  

Train No. 01104 Bandra (T) – Jhansi Special will depart from Bandra (T) at 05.10 hrs every Tuesday & Wednesday and will reach Jhansi at 06.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 6th October, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 01103 Jhansi - Bandra (T) Superfast Specialwill depart from Jhansi at 16.50 hrs every Sunday & Monday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 16.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 4th October, 2020. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain, Maksi, Biyavra Rajgarh, Chachaura Binaganj, Ruthiyai, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Dabra and Datia stations in both directions. The train will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class seating coaches. 

Train No 02244/43 Bandra Terminus –Kanpur Central Weekly Superfast Special Express  

Train No 02244 Bandra (T) – Kanpur Central Special will depart from Bandra (T) at 05.10 hrs every Friday and will reach Kanpur Central at 08.35 hrs.the next day. This train will run from 9th October, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 02243 Kanpur Central - Bandra (T) Specialwill depart from Kanpur Central at 18.20 hrs every Wednesday and will arrive Bandra (T) at 23.05 hrs the next day. This train will run from 7th October, 2020. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Nagda, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Mathura Jn, Mathura Cantt, Hathras City, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Fatehgarh, Kannauj and Kanpur Anwarganj stations in both directions. The train will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches. 

Train No 01125/26 Ratlam – GwaliorSpecial Express(4 times a week)

Train No 01125 Ratlam - Gwalior Special will depart from Ratlam at 17.10 hrs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday and will reach Gwalior at 07.47 hrs the next day. This train will run from 4th October, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 01126 Gwalior - Ratlam Specialwill depart from Gwalior at 19.30 hrs every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and reach Ratlam at 10.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 2nd October, 2020. The train will halt at Fatehabad Chandrawatiganj Jn, Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Maksi, Biyavra Rajgarh,Ruthiyai, Guna and Shivpuri stations in both directions. The train will have Ist AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches. 

Train No 02125/26Ratlam – BhindSpecial Express(Tri-Weekly)

Train No 02125 Ratlam - Bhind Special will depart from Ratlam at 17.10 hrs every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday and will reach Bhind at 09.50 hrs the next day. This train will run from 3rd October, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 02126 Bhind - Ratlam Specialwill depart from Bhind at 17.00 hrs every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday and reach Ratlam at 10.45 hrs the next day. This train will run from 3rd October, 2020. The train will halt at Fatehabad Chandrawatiganj Jn, Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Maksi, Biyavra Rajgarh, Ruthiyai, Guna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Shanichara, Malanpur, Gohad Rd and Soni stations in both directions. The train will have Ist AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches. 

Train No 02548/47Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt Superfast Special Express(4 days a week)

Train No 02548 Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 16.55 hrs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday and will reach Agra Cantt at 08.20 hrs the next day. This train will run from 4thOctober, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 02547 Agra Cantt - Ahmedabad Special will depart from Agra Cantt at 22.10 hrs every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday and reach Ahmedabad at 13.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 2nd October, 2020. The train will halt at Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Falna, Marwar, Beawar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Achhnera stations in both directions. The train will haveAC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches.

Train No 02248/47 Ahmedabad – Gwalior Superfast Special Express(Tri-Weekly)

Train No 02248 Ahmedabad – Gwalior Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 16.55 hrs every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday and will reach Gwalior at 10.15 hrs the next day. This train will run from 3rdOctober, 2020. Similarly, Train No. 02247 Gwalior - Ahmedabad Special will depart from Gwalior at 20.05 hrs every Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday and reach Ahmedabad at 13.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 3rd October, 2020. The train will halt at Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Falna, Marwar, Beawar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Achhnera, Agra Cantt, Dhaulpur and Morena stations in both directions. The train will haveAC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches.

EXAM SPECIALS

Train No 09202/01 Somnath - Ahmedabad Superfast Special Express  (Exam Special)

Train No. 09201 Somnath - Ahmedabad Special will depart from Somnath at 21.30 hrs o­n 3rd October, 2020 and reach Ahmedabad at 05.25 hrs the next day. Similarly, Train No 09202 Ahmedabad – Somnath Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 21.10 hrs o­n 4th October, 2020 and will reach Somnath at 05.05 hrs the next day. .  The train will halt at Veraval, Chorwad Rd, Maliya Hatina, Keshod, Junagadh, Jetalsar, Virpur, Gondal, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Viramgam stations in both directions.  The train will haveSleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches.

Train No 09211/12 Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad Superfast Special Express  (Exam Special)

Train No. 09211 Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad Special will depart from Bhavnagar at 23.45 hrs o­n 3rd October, 2020 and reach Ahmedabad at 05.00 hrs the next day. Similarly, Train No 09212 Ahmedabad – Bhavnagar Special will depart from Ahmedabad at 20.00 hrs o­n 4th October, 2020 and will reach Bhavnagar at 00.55 hrs the next day.  The train will halt at Bhavnagar Para, Sihor Gujarat, Songadh, Dhola Jn,Botad, Limbdi, Surendranagar Gate and Viramgam stations in both directions.  The train will haveSleeper Class andSecond Class seating coaches.

The booking of Train No. 02125, 02248, 09201/09202 and 09211/09212 will open from 2ndOctober, 2020. Booking for Train No 01104, 01125 and 02548 will open from 3rdOctober, 2020 and for Train No 02244 will open from 4th October, 2020 at nominated PRS counters and o­n IRCTC website. All the above trains will run as fully reserved trains.
