KOLKATAMETRO CONDUCTS MOCK FIRE DRILL AT KALIGHAT STATION
Kolkata, 10th June, 2019 :-
With a view to check the preparedness of Metro staff during emergencies, a Fire Hydrant and Fire Safety Equipment Drill was conducted at Kalighat Station on 09.06.2019.
Metro men were imparted training on how to respond and extinguish fire in Metro premises during emergencies. RPF personnel imparted training on how to use fire extinguishers and water hose. Metro Station staff were also trained on how to take power blocks in such cases.
The objective of this programme was to upgrade the fire extinguishing skills of the Metro staff during emergencies.
