Grievances of Pensioners will be addressed with Compassion -Shri A.K. Gupta, Additional General Manager, SCR
Shri A.K. Gupta, Addl. General Manager, South Central Railway said that Zone is addressing the grievances of pensioners with compassion, any grievance filed by pensioner by any means of communication will be duly responded in 30 days. He participated in the Yearly Pension Adalat, today i.e. 15th December, 2016 at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad.
Shri A.K. Gupta also said that the percentage of grievances on South Central Railway has come down to lower than 1% due to implementation of online portal CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) which can be accessed through smart phones. However if the ‘Change in Address’ is conveyed promptly to the concerned officials, the percentage of grievances could have been nil he added.
Shri N.V.Ramana Reddy, Chief Personnel Officer thanked the representatives of the Railway Pensioners’ Federation and Associations for bringing the grievances of pensioners to the notice of administration which needs immediate redressal. He also said that conducting the Pension Adalat is a responsibility to honour the pensioners and the problems of pensioners are being solved with sacred heart. He requested the pensioners to ensure the entry of personal mobile numbers, AADHAR numbers and also particulars of family members accurately in order to resolve the issues easily.
Smt. Poorna M. Cherla, Financial Advisor & Chief Account Officer (G), SCR, stated that accounts department would work in tandem with personnel department and bankers with an aim to reduce the number of grievances at the pension adalats to the bare minimum. Shri Ch. Sankar Rao, General Secretary, SCR Mazdoor Union, Shri Venkataramana, President, All India Officer’s Pensioners Association and Shri Y.N. Sastry, President, All India Retired Railway Employees’ Federation spoke on the occasion.
Shri Thirupati Rao, the senior most pensioner in the Zone aged 97 has been felicitated and was presented with Gold Plated Medal by Additional General Manager, South Central Railway.
A total of 654 cases received during Pension Adalat and 646 have been resolved and an amount of Rs. 2 Crores was paid against all the cases till now.
