The restoration work at derailment site near Nandurbar station of Western Railway’s Mumbai Division is going on in full swing despite the continuous rain showers in the area. The rail traffic on Western Railway’s Mumbai Division between Surat and Nandurbar section was disrupted due to derailment of five coaches of Train No. 69161 Surat – Nandurbar MEMU between Dhekvad & Nandurbar stations at 23:35 hrs on 10th July, 2016, after soil beneath the tracks got washed away due to heavy rains in the region. Restoration work at the site was started immediately in full swing, but due to heavy rains in the area the work got affected. However, best possible efforts are being made by the restoration team to put the rail traffic back on the track at the earliest. Various senior railway officers are monitoring the restoration work round the clock. 

However, considering the current situation, various trains plying over Western Railway have been cancelled/ partially cancelled/ rescheduled / diverted & short terminated as detailed below. 5 Special refund counters have also been opened, including two counters at Surat station and one each at Udhna, Nandurbar & Navapur stations and an amount of approximately Rs. 30 lakh has been refunded so far.

1. Train No. 69170 Nandurbar – Surat Passenger.

Trains Partially Cancelled on 12/07/2016

1. Train No. 59075 Surat - Bhusaval Passenger of 12.07.2016 short terminated at Navapur & reversed as EXTRA train, Ex Navapur to Surat at 11.30 hrs and partially cancelled between Navapur & Nandurbar.

2. Train No. 59077 Surat - Bhusaval Passenger of 12.07.2016 short terminated at Navapur & reversed Ex Navapur to Surat at 21.00 hrs and partially cancelled between Navapur & Nandurbar.

3. Train No. 59013 Surat - Bhusaval Passenger which commenced on 11.07.2016 partially cancelled between Surat & Nandurbar.

Trains Short Terminated on 12/07/2016

1. Train No. 69169 Surat – Nandurbar Passenger of 12.07.2016 short terminated at Navapur & reversed Ex Navapur.

2. Train No. 59076 Bhusaval – Surat Passenger of 12.07.2016 short terminated at Nandurbar and reversed as Train No. 59077 Ex Nandurbar to Bhusaval. Train No. 59076 will remain cancelled between Nandurbar & Surat.

3. Train No. 59078 Bhusaval – Surat Passenger of 12.07.2016 short terminated at Nandurbar and reversed Ex Nandurbar as Train No. 59075. Train No. 59078 will remain cancelled between Nandurbar & Surat.

4. Train No. 59014 Bhusaval - Surat Passenger which commenced on 11.07.2016 short terminated at Nandurbar and reversed as Train No. 59013 Ex Nandurbar to Bhusaval on 12.07.2016.
