Proposed new trains
Nine new trains and extension of three trains coming from outside the State have been proposed for inclusion in the Railway Budget.
The Nilambur- Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajyarani Express should be delinked and run as an independent train.
A new Bharath Tirth train connecting Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, and Velankanni;
an InterCity Express from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Mangaluru; and a tourist train from Kanyakumari to Goa have been suggested.The Thiruvananthapuram Central- Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express and Kannur- Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi Express have been recommended as daily trains.
