Ø39 Cash-coin & Smart card operated Ticket Vending Machines (Co-TVM) were installed to avoid long queue

Ø22 Janasadharan Ticket Booking Sewak (JTBS) are operating

Ø55 more JTBS sanctioned

Kolkata, 24 November, 2015:-

Eastern Railway earned an additional passenger revenue of Rs. 6.39 crore by carrying a total of 85,238 extra passengers, providing reserved accommodations in 105 trips of special trains during Summer & Puja rush from April to October, this year.

Besides, 27 additional coaches in different classes were attached permanently with various important long distance trains during April to October, 2015 to clear the additional rush of passengers. An amount of Rs. 33.86 crore additional passenger revenue will generate annually from these augmentation.

Moreover, for the convenience of passengers, 39 Cash-coin & Smart card operated Ticket Vending Machines (Co-TVM) were installed to avoid long queue in the booking counters at various stations. Further, to provide easy ticketing, 22 Janasadharan Ticket Booking Sewak (JTBS) are operating at various places and another 55 JTBS have been sanctioned during April to October, 2015.
