The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of traffic in view of Christmas, New Year, Irumudi, Thaipoosam and Pongal festivals.
1. Weekly special trains between Tirunelveli - Chengalpattu
- Train No.06134 Tirunelveli – Chengalpattu weekly special train will leave Tirunelveli at 15.15 hrs. on 03.12.2015, 10.12.2015, 17.12.2015, 24.12.2015 & 31.12.2015 (Thursdays) and reach Chengalpattu at 03.00 hrs. the next day.
- Train No.06135 Chengalpattu – Tirunelveli weekly special train will leave Chengalpattu at 14.00 hrs. on 04.12.2015, 11.12.2015, 18.12.2015, 25.12.2015 & 01.01.2016 (Fridays) and reach Tirunelveli at 02.15 hrs. the next day.
Composition: Sleeper Class – 10, General Second Class – 6 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Tirumangalam, Madurai, Sholavandan, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Manapparai, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur.
2. Weekly special trains between Nagercoil – Chengalpattu (via Main Line)
- Train No.06136 Nagercoil – Chengalpattu weekly special train (via.Main line) will leave Nagercoil at 17.00 hrs. on 06.12.2015 & 13.12.2015 and reach Chengalpattu at 06.15 hrs. the next day.
- Train No.06137 Chengalpattu – Nagercoil weekly special train (via.Main line) will leave Chengalpattu at 12.45 hrs. on 07.12.2015 & 14.12.2015 and reach Nagercoil at 04.15 hrs. the next day.
Composition: Sleeper Class – 12, General Second Class – 3 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Tiruppadiripuliyur, Villupuram and Melmaruvathur.

Stoppages: Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Sri Kalahasti, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam.

- Train No.06144 Coimbatore – Chengalpattu tri-weekly special train will leave Coimbatore at 22.50 hrs. on 03rd, 06th, 08th 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 27th, 29th & 31stDecember, 2015 and 03rd, 05th, 07th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 17th, 19th & 21stJanuary, 2016 and reach Chengalpattu at 08.00 hrs. the next day.
- Train No.06145 Chengalpattu – Coimbatore tri-weekly special train will leave Chengalpattu at 17.00 hrs. on 04th, 07th, 09th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th & 30thDecember, 2015 and 01st, 04th, 06th, 08th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th& 22nd January, 2016 and reach Coimbatore at 02.30 hrs. the next day.

- Train No.08568 Kollam – Visakhapatnam special train will leave Kollam at 09.40 hrs. on Tuesdays from 01.12.2015 to 26.01.2016 and reach Visakhapatnam at 13.45 hrs. on Wednesdays.
Composition: AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 1, Sleeper Class – 4, General Second Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
