Signal and Telecommunication Training Centre Celebrates its Annual Day
The Signal and Telecommunication Training Centre (STTC), Moula-Ali, Hyderabad celebrated its 11th Annual Day on 25th November, 2015. Shri K.S.Krishna Kumar, Additional Member (Telecom), Railway Board, New Delhi was the Chief Guest at the function, while Shri M. S. Mahboob Ali, Chief Signal and Telecommunications Engineer was the Guest of Honour, and Shri D. Venkatachalam, Chief Signal Engineer presided over the function. Senior Railway Officials, SCR, Faculty and Trainees, STTC were also present.
Shri K.S.Krishna Kumar after lighting the ceremonial lamp to mark the inauguration, addressing the gathering, he highlighted the fact that the process of train operations depends on signalling system. “Safety is foremost while working on Signalling & Telecommunication system in Railways”. He laid emphasises on acquiring knowledge on technical assets extensively at all the levels. He called upon the trainees to acquire command over technical expertise and make use of training gained. He lauded the STTC for imparting hands on training to the trainees undergoing different courses. He congratulated all the trainees for completing their courses successfully.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, Shri M.S.Mahboob Ali, stressed trainees to acquire quality knowledge while undergoing training and the appreciated the methods adopted by STTC in providing training through E-Learning, Labs etc.
Shri D.Venkatachalam presented the annual report of the institute. He stated that the training centre is developing steadily in imparting training. He called upon trainees to improve the culture of good working and to avoid short cuts. He stressed to be more practical oriented than only depending on theoretical knowledge.
Shri U. Sampath Kumar, Principal, STTC in his welcome address detailed various methods adopted during imparting training in the centre.
39 meritorious trainee received medals, certificates and cash awards on the occasion various cultural programmes presented enthralled the audience.
