Railway Retired Employee averted a possible mishap.

Alert retired railway employee averts rail mishap in Tamil NaduMADURAI: The timely action of a retired railway employee averted a possible rail mishap on the Ayyalur - Vadamadurai section in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday morning. 

Siluvaimuthu of Vadamadurai, a retired railway carpenter, spotted a crack on the track at 8.30am and informed the keyman in charge of the section. 
The duo alerted the loco pilot of the approaching Tiruchchirappalli - Tirunelveli Intercity Express by waving a red flag. 

Railway officials praised Siluvaimuthu for his responsible behaviour which averted a possible mishap. 

Later, railway employees fixed the crack on the rail. Due to the incident, No 22627 Tiruchchirappalli - Tirunelveli Intercity Express and No 56707 Dindigul - Madurai passenger train were delayed.
