Western Railway to run Special Train for Velankanni Festival from Bandra Terminus

For the convenience of passengers o­n the occasion of Velankanni Festival, Western Railway will run 2 trips of fully reserved Special train, for which the fares chargeable will be inclusive of special charges.

Train No. 09001 Bandra (T) – Velankanni Special will leave Bandra Terminus o­n 27thAugust, 2015 (Thursday) at 22.50 hrs to reach Velankanni o­n 29thAugust, 2015 (Saturday) at 13.30 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 09002 Velankanni – Bandra (T) Special will leave Velankanni at 23.45 hrs on 29th August, 2015 (Saturday) and will arrive Bandra Terminus at 14.20 hrs on 31st August, 2015  (Monday).

This train will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Muddanuru, Yerraguntla, Cudapah, Razampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Arakkonam, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur Jn. and Nagapattinam stations in the o­nward journey. However, o­n its return journey, the train will halt at all the above mentioned stations except Daund station.

The train will comprise of AC II - tier, AC III - tier, Sleeper class and II Seating Reserved Coaches.

The booking for Train No. 09001 will open on 3rd August, 2015 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.
